Man I can fucken relate to that. I'm dying of liver disease Hep-C geno type 1-A the absolute worst of all of them. It was given to me by a A.F.B. blood bank when I lost my leg in 82. I play bass off and on..I'm 63 would love to set down with ya just for 5 minites with one of my bass line's. Grove along see what we come up with..
With Vince the way he is and John 5 just being a Poser. I don't know why anyone would go see Motley these days. Its a sham from what Motley was back in the day
If you just listen to audio only of this video, you would imagine a normal-looking guy who would fit the ‘down to earth family guy’ mold. But with the video, you’d geek out because it’s Mick freakin Mars, arguably one of the top five best guitarists ever! Neal Schon, Slash, Mick Mars, Vivian Campbell, Steve Clark, and Phil Collen in no particular order.
@tomderters you do relize that Mick Mars is the co founder and no longer play with them . Motley Crue sucks with out him . I give more respect too Mick Mars then the band . im 45 I know whats good and not . Mick Mars did a solo Album witch is badass
@@tomdeters735 Its the facts and the truth. MC are assholes . people dont relize the Nikki Sixx and tommy were in another band befor MC and vince the asshole waa in the band called Candy .
Mick is a warrior through and through!! I’m so glad he is in good health and still making music and writing his signature tone soaked monster riffs!!!🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have A.S. at 57 years old, Mick is the greatest inspiration to keep pushing even when it hurts! Birmingham is close for a concert, Bama that is lol, Roll Tide! 😊
Man I so love this guy. Mick Mars is a freakin' global treasure. It's so funny how somebody you've never even met can mean so much to you and make such an impact on your life. This guy is such an influence on my guitar playing, and the way I craft riffs... and not only that, but just my personality... Who I aspire to be.. Thanks for a life time of inspiration Mick! Nothing but love for you Saint Mars.
Mick is a wonderful person worthy of admiration. Very cool that you are so inspired by him and his music. Back in 1995 when he lived in CA, I saw him at the grocery store where I always do my shopping. I didn't want to bother him, but I couldn't help myself! Just had to go over and say hi. He was sooo kind, so sweet, and was thoughtful enough to spend a little time chatting with me. I adore him. Been a big fan 40+ years. 😊🤘🏻
@@Hoodie_100 Oh without a doubt... HUGE inspiration on me.. Theres probably not another guitar player who has had more of a noticeable influence on my guitar style... particularly my lead style, but also on my rhythm playing... His DNA is all over my style lol.
Here's the extremely sad part about that. People connect with stranger online like Mick and love them more than anyone in real life. Living like they are teen girls in the 80s reading teen beat. What a sad thing people do to themselves. It should be embarrassing. Find someone and give them your love. Online life is fake.
He's the only actual musician in Motley Crue. Vince never could sing (skips every 3rd word of the lyrics live), Nikki barely knows how to play basic/beginner bass lines, Tommy was a stick twirler (but he'd good now) and then you have Mick. Motley should be grateful that they even met this guy.
Geez Mick, that’s the most I think I’ve ever heard you talk. Highly underrated Guitarist 🔥🎸. Don’t let your health stop you from being creative! So what if you can’t tour with the guys, who gives a crap! 🤘🏻
God bless ya Mick...at 72 hes still got the heart, talent, playability he always has...ashamed hes been strickened with this bone desease..however, on a brighter note..hes a f$cking millionaire and has and still is living a dream life, but humble as ever
Respect to Mick and the band for writing that song. It’s so true. People hear 1 thing from a couple people on the internet and just cling on to that lie, like sheep on a train. Like Ren said in one of his songs.. people don’t even have their own opinion anymore!! Massive respect to Mick Mars for everything he’s done over the years! He will always be in my top 5 list
The Master! Mick Mars is Motley Crue to me and always will be. One of the most underrated guitarists of all time. And with it Mick seems to be the most gracious of them all 🤘bring on his new releases
So much respect for this guy. He's got a great attitude despite these challenges, well-spoken and to be honest.....he appears to be the healthiest of the four, psychologically. And he looks better now than he ever did! Rock on, Mick!
Mick is the epitome of the word CLASS. Interesting how he teamed back up w/ Michael Wagner 40yrs later. Wagner played guitar in Accept - Balls To The Wall.
Thank you Mick,,,I've been playing drums since I was 19,,Tommy Lee was a big influence and at age 50 in 2021 I was in a hospital for 4 months,,,needed open heart surgery and was on dialysis but I'm recovering now and back playing drums again,,,and as long as I can still play I'm gonna play
So glad Mick Mars is feeling well and forging on with new material. He's one of a handful of 80s metal guitarists that influenced me when I was learning. Always loved his unique style of creating riffs and solos. Nobody sounds like Mick! ❤👍🤘✌️
Way to go!!! But, I hope you can get there without having to live with a shit disease like Ankylosing Spondylitis. I've been living with it since I was 14.
Your guitar genius has inspired a lifestyle, I dabbled before, but know I'm gonna get me a bad ass Gibson someday. What's your favorite guitar Mick Mars? You changed my life hearing Wildside and GGG. Your my Hero...
Mick Mars is top of my list for people I'd love to meet and speak with, in person. His riffs guided me through the formative years of my life. And helped me realize that *music* was all I needed to help me cope with anything bad in my existence. But he's a star and I'm no one. So, I'll chalk it up to my list of things that will never happen. My *Reverse Bucket List.* Motley wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for him.
Been digging your sound my whole life Mick. I got nothing but respect and admiration for you. Thank you for so many years of great playing and enjoyment!
This man is what legends are made of and he is so humble. Such a stark contrast to his past band mates. Nothing but love and respect!! Long live Mick!!!!!!
Forget this being the "Album of The Year".....It's the "Album. Of The Decade"!!!! Way to go Mick. You put out an insanely awesome record. Be proud, sir!!!!
Mick Mars is a amazing human being and one of the sweetest people in the world me my mom and brother hung out with all of motley Crue in 2009 , 2015 was amazing hopefully Mick Mars will tour on this album we can't wait for this album to drop
Yeah, when you stop what your love doing you know things fall apart for or worse that’s why you wanna keep going and do what you do to keep it. Nice and strong. Hope you get better dude.❤❤
Who among us 1980's teenagers doesn't want to just give that man a giant hug, and tell him what he's meant to us throughout the decades? I know I would certainly love the opportunity.
Respect to Mick for getting out of a sinking ship, and saying screw you to Motley Crue. And much more respect for writing "Loyal To The Lie". We all know what and who that song is about without him saying so. Much Respect!
Shout at the Devil was my introduction to Motley and it was maybe a year or so I learned about their debut TFFL. My generation was MC, Maiden, Priest, Ozzy BATM. I miss those days!
He's always kicked ass and he's kicking ass now I love him he's so awesome Mick Mars nothing but respect he we love you make Mars you're always in our prayers what a trooper is the most awesome guitar player ever
Mick is in pain 24/7 and he pushes through all that to do what he loves.I hate that him and the band are on the outs but Mick is a very big reason why there is a Motley Crue today and band owes him that much.Mick has always been my favorite out of all the members.
Home Sweet Home is one the reasons why I started picking up my guitar ten years after I set the first one down. I love Motley Crue. And, it is always good to sit and appreciate someone who is speaking. Long live Mick!🤟🏼|Bones
I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and it hasn’t been easy throughout the years. I completely understand him not wanting to be on the road anymore. The spine is mending from the lower back to his neck. Now hold a guitar for hours. I play guitar and can’t imagine doing that for long periods of time.
I grew up in Los Angeles and remember when kids in my Jr High started showing up with cassette tapes of Too Fast For Love. Way before it was on the radio. Some of the older kids were going out to Hollywood to see them at the Whiskey a Go Go. Then we watched it all grow into the monster it became. Keep Rockin' Mick!
I still remember the time MM took a camera guy from Mtv on a ride in his Vette and got pulled over. The Big Rockstar was humbled on camera and he became a regular guy. ❤
I remember being a little kid, listening to the Crüe, learning to play guitar and thinking,... man, this dude Mick Mars is good, but damn, I think the Crüe is holding him back. Now, all this years later, I STILL think the same. Imagine if Mick Mars was given the freedom to play how he truly can play. Imagine how much better the Crüe would have been! No wonder his favorite Crüe album is the one with Corabi. . .
Hearing him talk about the album reminds me of the interview he gave in the uncensored video. Where he is in his 77 red on red corvette , I've always loved Micks playing.
I have to say Mick- You are an inspiration. The one guy with ankylosing Spondylosis looks fitter than everyone else. Hats off to you brother. And still ripping it.
I was never a fan of Motley Crue per se, but I wish Mick all of the best both now and in the future. I know that if he were my bandmate I would do absolutely everything I could to assist him in any way I could. All the best to you Mick.....!
AWESOME!! love ya Mick... the absolute heart of MOTLEY CREW and STILL kickstart'n it all up HAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOVE IT thankyou Q1043 NEW YORK for this, it was an awesome interview
Mick has always been a hero of mine. I can't tell you how many versions of Too Fast For Love I wore out on all media. I can't believe the rest of the band just shit on him the way they have yet kept Vince even though he can't take three steps with out getting winded where he cant sing a full measure let alone remember the words to his own songs most of the time. Mick you sir are a God among mortals.
