Trust me, I have seen over 1k camper car videos over the last 5 years most of them SUVs and big Vans and I have seen people struggling to adjust half of the stuff that you have in your tiny car in an extremely neat and tidy organized way...you must receive an award for this.

Incase anyone’s wondering now, he sold the versa a few months after this video in 2020, and now has a new van that he built like a home on the inside. Not sure if he’s living in it, but he seems happy with his girlfriend and his new van.

Omg. The look on my face just have been classic when you popped down the visor and revealed a hidden curtain! And that seat popping down was SLICK! If I thought my husband wouldn't flip out I'd remove my front seat and make him be a passenger in the back. I absolutely 💛 this "build".

I'm seriously impressed with how well thought out this conversion is. I started watching the video and my initial reaction was "WTF?" but the more I watched it the more I respected the guy for his talents in doing such an amazing job with such a small space. Running water and a sink, cooking space, a table and bed suitable for someone six foot... in a car! Amazing work dude. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your creation for years to come!

Mansions, they're very nice. However, they always bring images of abandoned Mansions and some scary things and/or sadness because not many can afford the upkeep, maintenence, repairs, renovations, utilities, property taxes. Well you are right, but this is not long term living. This is short term living. If I had to drive up somewhere for the wkend or for work, or get away to the beach for an overnight trip, this would be fantastic! Think of the dorm fees you save as a student as well. Or if you move to a new city looking for work - you don't want to pay rent when you have no job.

have to admit you did a very good job building this set up, and using every available space making it useful. bed idea is very smart idea , only thing i see that might need improvement is the window black out screens (magnetic) , need to be larger when they were up i could see light from the outside showing in , if light can be see from outside, the lights and or you can be seen when you are in it . otherwise , great build and video !!!

Pretty cool! Rusty on RU-vid who’s a retiree used to live like that in a Prius for a long time! So it can definitely be done! Then Rusty changed up to a much larger RV until he is finally now up then back downsized a bit to a travel trailer with his own property. Eventually having a home base though seems to be the most successful to me in order to travel around in a RV etc. No doubt this nice guy will eventually have a home base as well.

For people who makes fun of this guy ,come to California and taste this .He smart .Car maybe too small but .He not desperate ,he works with what he got ,how you say - if life throws at you lemons make a lemonade . Respect dude .And he is not stupid and he embarrassed ,that means he will go big .

I tricked my 2011 Versa out last year. Took out the back seat & I'm a short enough female (5'2"), didn't need to remove the passenger seat, but it would work for extra length if needed. Only had to remove a few inches from my Ikea foam twin mattress but there's still room beside it for more stuff. I could probably elevate the mattress to add storage bins underneath since the Versa has more head room than most compact hatchbacks, but for now, I'm loving my little camper car!
