National Museum of the U.S. Air Force visitors had the opportunity to see fast-flying micro machines as 48 pilots maneuvered their drones over, under, around and through the C-124 Globemaster II during the museum’s Third Annual Micro Drone Race Feb. 25-27, 2022.

Thank you again so much to the Museum for hosting us and helping to teach the public about drones and STEAM education. I had goosebumps while racing here because of the history in this museum, and I consider it an incredible honor and privilege that I will never take for granted. Thank you again!

1st place finisher here 😁 Used a tiny whoop pinch camera. Newbeedrone 300mah batteries. Hm 0702 motors and 2g4 flight controller. Meteor 65 frame. Reny screws. Gemfan triblade 31mm props Hope this helps!

How difficult was it to get the right people to approve doing this in the museum and around aircraft??

Our museum director approved it after a meeting and demo of the small plastic and safe drones. Third year for this tinywhoop drone race, non issue and incredibly educational and fun!
