Applicator here: If you DON'T want the burn marks that the trowel leaves behind, burnish with a plastic trowel from Pavan tools, or you can invest in a trowel specifically made for burnishing white plaster (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RYK48BDgEJY.html). Great job by the way.

Hey Michael. Thanks man! I have seen the something similar. Very cool. I personally like the burnish marks however I'm sure there's plenty that don't. Thanks for the link 🤙

It's not overly expensive if you do it yourself. $75 per square is a similar price to a mid-range tile. To pay someone to do it is quite expensive though.

Awesome work. Is it slippery when wet? Did you get a layer on antislip coating on it?

Thanks! No anti slip. It doesn’t feel slippery imo. However if I did my bathroom over again, I’d probably tile the floor. I do like the look of the microcement however it’s difficult to keep looking clean

It’s such a minimal finish, you really notice dust, hair etc more than you would on a terrazzo floor.

Awesome job! Did you use plasterboard or fibre cement in the shower? It looks like plaster which is what I was hoping to use too, I'm just struggling for supplier support...

Look for cement renders, acrylic renders. Lots of them also do microcement

It’s called pastellone by stucco Italiano from the Venetian plaster gallery in Sydney. I’ve also heard that mineral fox is good and available to buy.

Can you apply on tiles? And how do fill up the thickness different as my wall is half tiles and painted. 😢

Probably easiest to remove the bottom half of the tiles. You can go over tiles but you need to fill the grout first with an additional product to avoid seeing grout lines.
