TFS! I decided on microlocs because of the flexibility and no set rules... after being a loose natural for several years I can't be held to a set of rules lol. I wasn't particular about having a grid but wanted my locs close in sizing as much as possible. So my loctician installed my microlocs with two-strand twists and diamond parting that I love!

Great video very informative, gonna try the loc’s again, I had sisterlocs and there were so many things that went wrong, I had to cut them out a week later I had a melt down, as I realized all the time and money that was invested, and now gone. Even now I have to hold back the tears. I found another Locmatician and I’m going to do micro loc’s and have her teach me how to retie which is something I was literally dreading, but today I’m ready to learn thanks for all the great info. given in a very humorous and down to earth way I LOVE IT!!
Interlocks do shrink and swell just as much as twists (if not more); just WAY slower. Because it happens so slowly, unless you have pics documenting your jouney yearly over about 5 years, you won't catch the difference.
Thanks for the input I didn’t realize about interlocks only because I have interlocks scattered in my hair and they are much longer than the twist that I had to trim them
I like your vibe! Everything you said is facts! I opted for microlocs because I didn't like restrictions or the expense of sisterlocs. The costs in the UK are getting ridiculous, not to mention reties, whew! I regret not getting doing a grid, but too late now. Mine is parted like when you get micro braids done.
No kids and i will spend my weekend reading. Regarding the textures, i feel like i prefer interlocks than the two strand twists. My interlocks, when they choose to fatten up they do so wonderful when compared to my twist locs. I have a mixtures of braid locs (which i hate so much but had to cause of slippage and unraveling), interlocs and the twist locs.

Please, sisters, be firm, give your list, your price... though let's be good and respectful of ourselves and others. I have had people state $1500 and hang up the phone!💰😭🚀

This has been really helpful. I'm moving more towards getting microlocs. I have a difficult scalp so I want the freedom of choosing how and when I treat, wash and nourish my locs. 2 days ago I was sure I was going to do small traditional locs. I'm so indecisive 😂🙈

Thank for watching I really appreciate it! I say microtwists or even interlocks they swell up overtime and your hair fills in since you won’t be combing it to death!
Some of what you say is not quite true. Depending on how micros are established they can be close or the same price as Sisterlocks because they if they are interlocked it is still time intensive. I am not on a 4 week schedule. I do go every 6-7 weeks and probably could wait longer if I chose and my consultant would not drop me. That said, they look quite a bit a like. I chose SLs because I wanted to have my locks established by a certified individual. It was right before they became such a trend and it wasn’t and isn’t that costly in my view. People who get braids, weaves and even buy wigs probably pay more. And I used to spend quite a bit in Natural hair products and of course not having to spend time washing and styling my hair makes them worth it for me. And there are no real rules. But I do follow the advice of my consultant.
@@steaksandlocs2374 I think it's worth it to select your loctition carefully whether you choose MLs or SLs. I'm in an online group and not choosing a loctition wisely for the establishment is the biggest complaint.
I have been researching this as I am about to loc my hair. I am stunned that there is a "snob" loc community..like are you kidding me because sistah locs are more expensive.. Like wth..honestly after the locs attach and "we" all look beautiful will anyone really asking you" do you have the expensive locs or cheaper locs"..lol ..
