Howdy Dan! This is some good stuff right here. Proves that you can have effective and realistic weathering without a whole lot of angst. I know it is in my nature to overcomplicate things... lol... so this is awesome. Good reminder that sometimes simpler is better. Definitely adding this technique to my weathering tool box. Nice technique. I use those tooth picks you find in restaurants. Just dip it in the rust colored paint. All ideas are good too.
