What is the "stereo" part about the stereo microscope? Both have a single objective lens and , in this case, two ocular lenses.

It’s because the stage is fixed and made for petri dishes or large samples

@@FreshfromtheFarmFungi Did some googling and found that the srereoscope actually has two objectives, which makes it stereoscopic, providing a 3D view of the sample being viewed.
