Thank you. I had another problem. I previously installed MS office 2016 in my computer, which I later updated by overwriting MS office 365 without removing previous version "MS office 2016". Then I used to see a "blank screen" every time I double click on a xlsx file but I was able to open a file by clicking "open" and select the file manually browsing the specific folder. Now I have uninstalled the older version "MS office 2016" and its working fine.
These options did not help at all, but then looking around the UI, I discovered in the View tab (of the ribbon) there is an UNHIDE button, and voila!!!
Thank you so much for such a great help. I struggled a lot to find a solution of grey formula bar, even though the formula bar was checked in View Menu. Ultimately a very well educating video taking us to the actual trouble shooting steps. I could resolve this big size grey formula bar in the very first step of this video. Thank you very much for sharing such videos.
This XML file connot be open because of an error check to make sure the file is a valid XML file and that the XML syntax is correct you can also try re creating the file and closing other opplictions before you attempt to open it again.
Unfortunatly none of these options worked for me. But did find a work-around. Add the "Show Formula Bar" option to the Quick Access Toolbar. Then tapping it once will turn off the Formula Bar and displays the worksheet, tapping it again will turn the Formula Bar back on.
lol i just realized why. I used excel on my big monitor and dragged the formula down far to get a view of the text. I since tried to view another notebook on my PC screen. The entire screen is actually filled with your formula bar. This took me way to long to realize LOL
