Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) - Official Planes and Hand-Crafted Airports Overview 

Too many single engine prop planes. Wish there was more variety with airliners, military jets, helicopters, and oldies. The previous entries had better variety at launch. Still excited though.

One of the best presentations i have ever seen. The soft camera movements, the angles, the text and the music: magnificent! I wanted to see the planes from this game, because i was too lazy to write all the names of the official aircraft and airport-list and googling them out. But i have found this video and that is what i was looking for. Thanks!

kinda wish 1 or 2 military aircraft were included, the closest thing to a military flight sim on console is Ace Combat which is not at all realistic (not in a bad way though)

I just installed this yesterday. The graphics are amazing, better than I thought they would be. RIP X-Plane.

I must say, the upgrades are a tad less impressive than they'd like you to think. With Prenium, you get 5 new aircrafts. But out of those 5, you only get 2 truly new aircrafts, the DA 20 and Beech Baron. The remaining 2 are the non G1000 version of default standard aircrafts, and the Aerobat is basically a midly souped up version of the default 150. So unless you have a massive boner for one specific aircraft, or, like me, you have a strong preference for non G-1000 aircrafts, I'd give it a pass. Prenium Deluxe has more fun packed into it (I'd say this is deliberate to push the sales). With the 787 and Citation Longitude adding to the massive lack proper jets, non GA fleet. The SR22 is a bit underwhelming with it's non working keyboard witch makes it feel like Asobo just copy pasted the G1000 in all the aircrafts instead of hand crafting every dial. Shock Ultra and the Virus are fun to fly if you're into ultralights and stols. Is it worth it? Well, yes if you have a good boner of some of the aircrafts, baring in mind these are at survey level and that third party study level addons will be released and might be a better way to spend your Shmeckles. For an extra 20 or 40 Shmeckles, which is the usual cost of one proper payware aircraft, it can be worth it as long as you prefer quantity over in depth realism. If you want a broader range of aircrafts, or want more realism, better wait for future addons such as the Aerosoft CRJ, PMDG 737, or Carenado Mooney. As for the airports. Well, again, unless you fly or plan to use the scenery, you might never even realise the're there. So that depends on your flying habits. I must say they do look good and add a lot to the realism compared to default airports.

At 2:15 it shows SABA - Juancho E Yrausquin Airport as "FRANCE"!? Its a Dutch Caribbean island... Am I missing something or is that an Error?

I am sooo looking forward to this!!!!! I even bought a brand new top of the line system solely for this simulator...but...I am a little disappointed at the lack of variety with the jets. I get it, lots of people like the low and slow flying. And that's fine. Nothing wrong at all. But some of us actually do enjoy flying the big ones everywhere. I would've liked a 737, a few regional jets (maybe ERJ 145 and 175 or a few Canadair jets), an A330, and a 777 in addition to the A320, 747, and 787 we do get. A380 and A340 and A350 would be nice but not my personal favorite to fly (at least in FSX). Hopefully developers will be making add ons. I will happily pay for more big commercial birds assuming the quality is the same as what comes stock with the program. Edit: also wouldn't mind having some rotor action. Even FSX had 2 helicopters stock haha. 2nd edit: Yes I realize alot of the birds I mentioned weren't stock in previous releases. That's why I'm hoping the developer's come through or it's included in updates :)

In my puja vacations, whI go to Delhi, I played the game standard edition in my relatives i7 laptop with NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4090. I am trying to play it in my home. I hope it will work. Thank god. I thought the first lift of planes was all that standard had. Was about to be pissed I just bought it for $50... Still hate this pay more for full game or better graphics shit. I remember playing back in 2008 and having the full dam game for $40... I’m fine with DLC add one but to lock stuff behind packages is dumb.

Scrolling through the comments and seeing that most of them are just people complaining about things and wanting things. The game isn't even out yet and we've only seen work in progress builds of the game and not the finished product. Also they will update the game a lot when it's out and add things. Just give them time so they can make this the best flight simulator you can get, they can't do everything at once.

So loads of rubbish GA aircraft but you don't include the Cirrus SR series(the most popular GA aircraft). No mix of commercial aircraft either, No A380, Dash 8 etc?

How can I chose an airplane and an airport? I was able to change the plane in my hangar from Cessna to F-18, and I created a flight plan from LA to Long Beach, but when I click "Fly", there´s always a Cessna in Munich (EDDM).

I hope military aircraft and some hand crafted Air Force bases can be added soon. It’s weird to have a bunch of afbs with only civilian planes.

when you bring a simulator to a console players,you open it to casual game. Here is the result. Something that is far from the real simulation, a google map simulator. This is what happens when you hand a simulator to a gang of people playing with the pad from the couch. Become a game and goodbye simulation. Let's hope for x plane 12 otherwise the real simulation is definitely dead. :(

Damn plane options are still trash in the stock game, unbelievable to me there are so few options. No real stunt plane, almost no jet nor airliner, no helicopters, what about seaplanes, ULM etc ..? Yeah there are mods but a dev will nail the physics and model better than a modder in my mind, it can get very close but you wouldn't know how much as it's something added by a third party who might not have any real flight experience (well i gotta admit same for devs but they must have a way to validate the physics by a pilot or whatever)

Ik vind persoonlijk de vliegvelden en vliegtuigen aan de zuinige kant. Het bedrag wat je ervoor betaald is te hoog. Ik vind dat het mogelijk moet zijn om je eigen luchtvaartmaatschappij te starten, vliegtuigmaatschappijen toevoegen gratis moet zijn. En waarom moet er onderscheid gemaakt worden tussen normaal spel en het duurste? Kom gewoon met 1 spel uit wat betaalbaar is met alle opties voor iedereen.

I am a private pilot and like to use FSX Steam Addition to fly to and from smaller airports in the USA. I fly a Piper Archer II, but don't see it listed. Are ALL US airports in the package? Are there after market providers for Piper singles?
