How do you get the camera view outside we’re you can get any angle you want similar to the locked spot view on fsx ? Like where you can look around freely wit the hat switch in the cockpit and outside like Fsx. Is that not available in this simulator? It seems like every view is fixed 🤦🏽♂️
A friend of mine suggested a kind of passenger add on. The idea is that you can board someone’s airliner in multiplayer. It would allow you to walk around in the plane and enjoy the flight. As strange as it may seem, I think that would be awesome and entertaining.
I dont know much about mods but arent mods a client sided thing? It means it will work for singleplayer because its client sided and single player is client sided but not for multiplayer because its server sided so they'll need to make a server sided mod for that otherwise it wouldnt work.
You're a life saver, I looked for those settings but must not have scrolled down far enough! I also tried using the drone, but all it did was collide with the plane body instead of passing through it. lol Edit: Oops, just remembered it was because I was trying to use the smaller planes.
I literally googled this today and couldn’t find any info. I watched a livestream to find out. It’s so weird how passenger views is hidden under “external” views.
If you press the ''toggle drone'' button when you're in the cockpit view, it switches to the last showcase camera. So if you go to the wing view then switch to the cockpit. You can press toggle drone to quickly switch between wing view and cockpit.
only in the one they allowed , I try on this newest update and they make changes if you change the position for "ALL Aircraft as it was in the 2020 FS" now it corrupt all the game edditing the "camera config file" and I did have to Re-download the large program .. The ASobo" people just are a bunch os F....A,,,,H.. there are nothin as best as FSX, good in FS2020 is the live Global and some other beatiful makeups (I'm loyal to MS fs as far back 1980) .
@@Broccoli_32 Well they focused on the main game first. A replay is not essential at release. I prefer having the game avaible now rather then wait for a later release just for small things like a replay mode. (My opinion)
Marc // OneManArmy Well fair enough. But I think in the complete opposite way... I‘d rather wait for another 1-2 months e.g than not having a completed game like we do have at the moment. There are so many bugs, thinks not working properly etc etc.
@@charleskaufman3892 Its called: "Translate Cockpit View Backward" More Detail ... MAIN MENU -> CONTROLS -> KEYBOARD or Joystick Name (Mine is T.16000M) KEYBOARD TAB -> Select FILTER to "ALL" if needed. Expand CAMERA then expand COCKPIT CAMERA You will see these commands below are mapped to keyboard. (Note: You could map these commands to your joystick buttons) -Decrease Cockpit View Height -Increase Cockpit View Height -Translate Cockpit View Left -Translate Cockpit View Right -Translate Cockpit View Backward -> Keyboard [Alt] + [Down Arrow] -Translate Cockpit View Forward -...Yaw - Better to map this to some joystick
To move around cockpit, try to map the following keys in Cockpit Camera section. Decrease Cockpit View Height Increase Cockpit View Height Translate Cockpit View Left Translate Cockpit View Right Translate Cockpit View Backward Translate Cockpit View Forward ...Yaw - Better to map this to some joystick TBM 930 allows us to move around cabin using these mappings in cockpit mode. Baron allows us to move half way in cabin Others aircraft limit to pilot seat.
@@TheFlightSimDeck Anyway thanks for the tip on other window views. Another trick to get wider view is to move to the middle of the cockpit and then using the mouse roller to get wider view.
It still amazes me how pilots fly this simulator and admire it. yet there are so many people bashing the sim in favor of either prepar3d or xplane11 calling msfs2020 a "arcade game"
@@ThunderspearNZ I feel as if it's also because they may have spent time/money with past simulators, and don't want to switch platforms just because something newer came out. I can respect that, but to bash the newest game just because it's got nearly everything right out of the box is just childish.
@@potatopilot16 I invested nearly a thousand dollars for planes and addons for p3d and X-Plane 11 but come on..... I know its hard to admit it at first but fs2020 is awesome just out of the box and it will be better and better as time goes on
Thank you. You know, i never understood why these game designers never just put a very simple one button move to next camera and cycle to all availible angles. Why is that so hard to do?
If you want to get into the back of GA aircraft you don't need to use the drone. Just use the keyboard arrow keys and slide back. Then you can use your normal mouse or hat switch for head direction.
I just start playing this through the xbox game pass as it's the first time playing flight simulator since 2004 so my skills are rusty Thanks so much for the tips I just subbed to your channel.
THANK YOU!! Next challenge- Is there away to go to full screen cockpit view with the HUD? This was done by pushing 'W' in FS2004 and I belive FSX as well. The panels and glare shield get in the way. Especially when landing.
They should not block us from moving around the complete modeled cabin. They allow us to move around TBM 930, how about the other aircraft ? This feature is very important for VR so I can enjoy the scenery as a passenger...
@@TheFlightSimDeck I think that they could expand the range forward/backward very easily per aircraft. They don't have to limit at the seat or halfway. The feature is already implemented, just expand the range for the aircraft which has a complete modeled cabin.
Early when the sim had just been released, I saw someone with a video walking around in the cabin of another smaller plane. It was either a small jet with several seats or possibly it was the larger cessna. I didn't really pay much attention. I just thought wow.. I guess that will be easy to figure out, and is a natural part of the sim. But now I don't know how he did it, or where the video is. If anyone knows how to move around in those other planes and could tell me, please let me know. Otherwise, maybe this would be my only way. For all I know he could have been using this method, but it was so smooth, it didn't seem like it
I believe they're doing it the arrow keys which you can map to move around more. I'm not sure if it functions the same for all planes but that's what I've heard people are using.
There is a replay mod available but it’s overpriced and buggy, Swiss001 made a video about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o8C5DgS6GOg.html
MSFS camera system could have been so much easier (X-Plane style, or even FSX/P3D style to an extent), I don't really know why is it so unecessarily complicated and limiting...Hope they'll improve that. Thanks for the video !
Odd question but, is it possible to have two viewpoints at once like in the old games? When I'm hoping to do is to have someone in the VR view from the passenger view, while on the monitor have the cockpit view so I can fly the aircraft and take them on a ride. Does anyone know how to even a begin to approach this? I would really appreciate the help in this endeavor!
Don't know for the cockpit since I use TrackIR but for external it is in the optional/general/external camera section. You need to map 8 POV buttons to the respective actions (look down, look down left, look down right, etc.). Do not use the lockable views for this.
I have a couple of questions: 1) Do you get the on-wing cloud effects(as in Active Sky 16 etc.)? 2) Does the camera have the ground effects, shakes etc. that we are used to in Chaseplane? Thanks!
Great job..! So 1 question:. Once your looking through the window in the Airbus or the 747 in fixed wing view.. why can't you allocate a custom number to the view by pressing the key combo. + A number? To save it? Like you do in the cockpit? Tks. In advance. Joey.
Gemster18 unless they’ve fixed it... in the control mappings they only allow you to map up to camera views #1-10 but these wings views are on #11-13. Not sure why they stopped the number at 10. But in theory what your saying sounds like it would work. If you go to camera #12 and then save how you mention.
Unrelated question, but maybe for a future video: is it possible to assign commands to different units beyond the suggestions you get in the control options? For instance: I have a flight joystick with a control for throttle. On single engines there is no problem, but on twin engines (as the Airbus 320) I noticed that I had only assigned throttle to engine 1 to the joystick. There was no option to assign it as increase/decrease throttle on all engines as on the keyboard. To increase/decrease throttle on multiple engines I need to use the keyboard. Is there anyway around it, or could I just hope that Microsoft/Asobo fixes this in some future update? There are probably a lot more commands that one might want to assign to a different control unit than the default.
In drone mode, do i have to have a Xbox controller that i can plug in my pC??? I have one , but it works on blue tooth, can get the sim to recognize the controller?? Don't have the cord that goes direct in the pC. Thanks for all your usefull vidoes!
what is the place you were at when you used the camera drone on that really small plane? I want to try to recreate that place in a game I am working on
2:20 You're on "Assigned" mode, if you filter it to all assignments, it will show all the things you can assign - confused me at first but then I noticed the button, a little inconspicuous. Not sure if that's the issue here but just letting everyone know.
I do not like this wing view from the cabin...since they are fixed and u cant look or zoom in or out for better win view....is there anyway to fix that?
What happens if take the drone camera and put it inside the Boeing 747 or some other airliner? Did I understand correctly that there will be no passengers saloon?
Anyone can get custom wing views on the Airlines, go to your MS2020 Packages/Official/Steam/asobo-aircraft-a320-neo(for example)/SimObjects/AirPlanes/Asobo_A320_NEO/ - here open the cameras.cfg file in a text editor, you'll see [Views] and under that eyepoint = 43.xxxxxxx, change the 43 to 63, save the document, go back into MSFS2020 cockpit mode, move your camera wherever you want, save those views using the control+alt+number 1-0 and then once your happy, exit the sim and change the eyepoint back to 43 and save again. Go back to the sim, use the shortcut camera key that you binded earlier and make small edits, save again and you're good to go with whatever camera view you want ;)
Not sure why but when I go wing view on the neo or even 747 the side panel of the window it’s like the sun is flashing in it, like the lighting keeps twitching nonstop, not sure what it’s causing this, driving me nuts, I’ve got all settings ultra and rtx3080ti so not sure what could be causing this, just constant light twitching on the left side white panel of the window
Thanks for the video! I have a problem though... at 1:00 my list has only 3 external views and it’s the same for other airplanes, I can’t get the window view... is there a way to fix it?
Sometimes my list only shows a few, as in I can't scroll anymore. But clicking off to external or cockpit and then back to showcase fixes it. Then the full list shows once I scroll.
