Completely agree wi h you regarding not rage quitting just because you had a problem. Heck I've had Garmins freeze up and go blank, autopilots quit working and nearly all the electrics quit. What I had were charts (Navigraph) and a heading indicator to get me to my destination. I'm sure that's thw former IT analyst in me doing what it takes to solve the problem. Ill tell you what I can't do is go back to FSX. I'll make these planes work just because the sim is that good. Oh BTW, thanks for a TBM flight. Sitting in Fort Lauderdale right now figuring out where to fly mine next. ✈️😉

Most of the other guides on the TBM were short haul flights that didn’t get any altitude and what I was looking for was a good cruising altitude, thanks for that! It’s funny though, because I’d already at FL280 through trial and error lol.

Besides looking at the charts, I find an easier way to see what the ILS frequency is when I am ready to arrive. I go into the MFD menu and select Waypoint info, put in the ICAO of the airport I am arriving at, go to the FREQ tab, and find the runway I am landing on, select the frequency for the ILS and put it in my NAV radio that way, instead of having to manually put the frequency is.

I was under the impression that using the Mugz mod undoes some of the changes to the stock TBM? And it’s not been updated as yet by Mugz?

This is just a guess but when you entered the airways on the flight plan, you did so by adding them after selecting the exit points. You then had the exits where the entries should have been, so changed them and ended up with duplicates. Maybe it's correct to select an entry point and then add the airway; that way, the entry point should show up correctly and you can then select the airway and exit point.

Nice video! FYI, looks like you were at 10 deg C when you said you were at 32 deg F on the approach. Though not exact, if you take deg C and double it, then add 32 you get within a few degrees of F. So 10C x 2 = 20 + 32 = 52F. No need for anti-ice (plus no clouds/precip). Actual 10deg C is 50F, but 52 gets you in the ballpark without doing the actual math of (10C x 9/5) + 32 = 50F. Just easier to double C and add 32!

Whenever I’m taking off in the TBM 930 my plane literally starts going crazy and starts to completely swing left and right on the runway and seems to become unstable before I even leave the ground

This is probably the cause of the flight plan issues you had during the flight. This is from the 0.7.1 release notes: Known Issues [FPLN] There is currently a bug with the sim's built-in flight plan management system which prevents waypoints from being properly added to the flight plan while an approach is loaded. As a result, inserting waypoints or airways into the Enroute segment of the active flight plan with an approach loaded will desynchronize the FMS flight plan from the sim's flight plan and lead to unexpected behavior. As a workaround, enter waypoints before loading an approach. If you need to enter waypoints after an approach has been loaded, remove the approach, make the necessary edits, then reload the approach. Lastly, if the FMS active flight plan becomes desynchronized, you can fix it by deleting the active flight plan via the Flight Plan Options menu.

Ever try out REX Weather Force for MSFS? I use it simply because MSFS weather is never correct. At least with this program, my winds, temp and baro always match; plus it renders the weather beautifully. TBM930 FTW!

I have the TBM 930 as one of my aircraft but the pilot's door doesn't open on mine, nor do I have the same Nav systems that you are showing. I checked for updates, none are showing. Are there different creators of the TBM 930? If so, which one do you have? If not, why is yours so much different than the one I have? Seems a little strange to me.

For some reason the camera views are not saving , I setup my view with the mouse hit control+alt+ the number but it doesn't save got any idea why?

I've noticed that you fail to follow the flight director on takeoff. You remain at 10 degrees pitch up or so. The flight director is there to be followed. This is why you often overspeed. Pitch up to remain at climb out speed. The flight director is telling you what to pitch up to. If you don't you will be fast and have a shallow flight path angle.

I'll have to get back into the habit of that. I stopped a few updates ago because when follow the FD I would climb too fast and get pressurization warnings.

@@OverkillSimulations I understand that some CJ4 pilots preset FLC and dial in the initial climb speed rather than using TOGA, and then of course follow the FD. to be honest, I'm not sure why Cessna set the TOGA pitch to only 10 degrees but perhaps it was to reduce vertical speed in order to avoid overshooting a lower altitude restriction. Thrust is pilot discretion in the CJ4 and I have noticed in real world video's that they don't seem to have an issue with rapid acceleration just after takeoff, even at the 10 degree TOGA pitch. So I suspect they reduce thrust below max as soon as they leave the ground. But certainly I've noticed they drop to the climb detent very soon after takeoff, faster than most sim pilots do. I'm also surprised Cessna didn't include a thrust derate function.

Start the airway from the entry point not the reverser then you shouldn’t have duplicate waypoints.

I can’t get the charts to work in the g3000. Navigraph subscription is current. Airac is current. Link was successful. Still no charts. Any advice or help?

Any errors reporting? Did you do a clean install or did you copy the new version on top of the old?

@@OverkillSimulations i removed the old stuff and reinstalled the latest version. Still not working. After linking, i still have "Chart data fail" displayed on the g3000. when i go to the utilities it shows "none" under standby and active database. What am I doing wrong. I have the Ultimate Membership on navigraph
