@@Twintania well one month ago a cousin show me his Nintendo 64 and I try it it was so hard for me to use the controller or not sure if is a controller
I still own two Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepads with game port connectors. I've just ordered two game port to USB connectors. I'm looking forward to using these old controllers once again! IMO the Sidewinder Gamepad and the Sidewinder Joystick (which I also still own) were the best in class back in the day. And not simply because of compatibility with Windows. No, they were ergonomically excellent, had high quality buttons and control inputs and top of the line build quality.
im torn between one of these and a gravis - my Saitek/Radio Shack Megapad is dying, and i need a replacement on my Win987 machine (PII450 for dos stuff as well).
Hey guys! I have this old game pad. Unfortunately the button "UP" is locked then I think I have to clean inside... Do you have some advices to open it and clean inside? A video? Thx
Best case scenario open it up and take everything out wash the plastics and rubber if you want and make sure you clean the black contacts on the rubber pads as well as the contacts on the circuit board q tips and 99% rubbing alcohol will work well. You might have a rubber pad that's ripped if it is you will need to try to find a replacement on ebay or another site
I bought a sidewinder 2 with ffb to play with MSFS 2020 but when I plug it in it thinks (states) it is an xbox360 controller?! How do I get windows 10 to cooperate? If I uninstall, turn off and replug it happens again. Under device manager I cant update the driver as it says the best one is already installed?? Any advice pls!
@@Twintania thx for the reply 🙏 however it just says best drivers already installed. I have the original install discs but they are very old probably not worth it? Thing is it works but works as an Xbox controller I am trying to get the ffb to work. There must be a setting in windows.as I feel it's trying to help, some sort of default mode/driver
@@Twintania Thx for the reply - I changed USB port and it is working better - the pop up recognised it as a sidewinder controller however it is still labelled as an Xbox 360 controller for some reason by MSFS. But it works fine, even the vibration.
Ich habe diesen Controller so gehasst. Habe mit ihm Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 begonnen zu lernen. Damals war er schon alte und ich musste 2 der Schultertasten auf dieses 6 Haupttasten legen. Einfach nur schwierig :O
I think it more depends if your computer has a "game port" i have heard of people being able to use this on windows 10 with a adapter however I have only tested this on windows 98 but I'm pretty sure it would work on xp and 2000 at least
