I dont know about the shortcuts, but it does the faster scroll with the middle button and it has quite a firm click so you cant click it by accident. The free scrolling scroll wheel makes it difficult to click without scrolling up or down though. Hopefully this helps :)

If you're still using that mouse, please try doing it. Scroll click on any link in Chrome and see if it opens in new tab. This 'll be helpful. Thanks anyways.

Oh that, yes it does, i believe thats a feature of chrome rather than the mouse, but yes i can confirm it works for that :)

Oh thanks. Of course its a Chrome feature, but the issue was that a number of mouses I used, lasted for its middle button only for months, just like my present Logitech K260 Mouse. Used it just few months and its middle click no more works, scroll works just fine though. So this was the issue.

Ahh okay, well i hardly ever used the middle mouse button, but on the odd occasion i would. The mouse still lasted a solid five years before the rubber on the scroll wheel wore out, even so it was still usable

The mouse has a fairly decent battery life, but i advise buying rechargable aa's because then you can go wrong, a set to use, and a set to charge. The mouse does quieten down with use and age, ive been running this setup for like 3-4 years now and its fine. The keyboard has lasted to the point where the paint is now worn off of most of the keys, but its still fine. The mouse wheel rubber has lost its rigidity though, and is almost like a jelly. Yes ive used it in play for around 3-4 years, it is a decent keyboard for gaming but of course you get the delay as with all wireless mice/keyboards. I was using for fps games, once you get used to the tiny delay it works well :)

Hey there, as far as i know the keyboard auto sleeps but i could be incorrect.. It would be wise to get some good rechargeable batteries such as panasonic enyloops

Same thing happens to me.. the keys A,B,G,7 etc. Stopped working but before if I press random keys it will work again.. but now it doesn't get fix anymore.. how bout you?

Yes the exact thing happened to me too. They used the wrong type of rubber and adhesive for the wheel and it didnt hold up as the scroll wheel is pretty stiff

I dont know, but i did spill an entire pint of water on it once, dried it out and it still worked. I wouldnt advise spilling liquid on this unit however :)

+Brendan Temme is the computer a fairly modern one? try a different rig and see if that can detect it. Im thinking thats a driver incompatibility issue

Yes its a good pc. Im still playing around with it now as we speak. Havnt got another pc to test it on.

+TheZenMaster its in good condition and ive given it a very good clean with disinfectant wipes. Ive noticed inside the mouse compartment when i took out the batteries to replace new ones....there is white powder inside near the springs that touch the - or + end of the battery. Possible water contact ?

+TheZenMaster also there was no driver cd that came with it. i just assumed it would be plug and play with the receiver but theres no cd with it.

Mine was plug and play, i never used the cd. Hmm odd, i guess you just got a duff one

Reasonable, they did last a fair while but obviously wired is much more convenient if you dont need to move around

the microsoft one is wayyy cheaper, so what do you expect?
