It would be so cool to see details about Thel added would make the transition to H2 feel so much better. Imagine if you could actually see Zuka hunting Chief in game. Man there are so many cool lore related things they could just add in the background of the missions
Just the way they did the underground catacombs in a bunch of the forerunner areas, a whole honeycomb of vents, shafts & caverns under the world, tantalisingly visible & immense but hopelessly out of reach. I also liked the bottomless pits encased in glass. Like the world is full of buried secrets. Kinda feels like it lost that mystery & just went "oh it's basically just the Flood, really"
Honestly it sounds like CE would change from a lonely exploration of an alien world to a bloated campaign full of characters only book readers are familiar with. I honestly think adding this kind of stuff is a terrible idea. Maybe easter eggs and references to prominent characters might work- maybe, but I do not think for a second that you can add fundamental changes to the game’s story, characters, and enemies without jeopardizing the atmosphere of the game.
@@heretic117 That's a good point, although you can still incorporate elements of expanded lore in a subtle way like an enemy you've never fought before (like the Flood Juggernaut) or expanding story elements like Johnson surviving the Flood as aforementioned. There are ways to inject these explorations of lore correctly like Dead Space, or incorrectly like in the case of Halo 5.
@@Krehnadian I don’t think we really need cutscenes or an explanation of how Johnson survived. Maybe there could be a reference to the possibility that some survived the explosion at the end, but we do not need a large focus on one the side characters for the game. Flood Juggernaut might work, but I think you would have to create a new environment for it to work. It can’t just be shoe-horned in to one of the last levels as a random boss fight addition. References (like good environmental storytelling) are one thing, but added scenes, levels, or even new dialogue could clutter up the experience of the original.
343 looking at this and be like "Wow look at all the stuff we can have behind paywalls and micro transactions". All joking aside, this is an excellent video and you've made good points. I'd love to see more lore in Halo Combat Evolved since if I recall correctly, the original game was somewhat hindered due to system constraints all the way back in 2001.
I think Microsoft needs to give the franchise to Blur (studio behind Halo Anniversary, I think, and Halo 2 Anniversary editions) or someone who cares about the Halo franchise since they can't give to Bungie for obvious reasons...
@@MLPIceberg Blur just did the cinematics for 2, they aren't even a game dev studio. You are probably thinking of Saber Interactive which remastered the campaigns. 343 themselves remastered 2's multiplayer (conveniently why its art style was terrible unlike the campaign.)
I’m sorry but seeing what they’ve done with CE in MCC I’d rather see a fan made. I’ll give halo 2 anniversary was eye popping but they did remove Easter eggs like crazy
If they do remake H:CA with the content you outlined. I would also advocate for a firefight mode that takes place at Alpha Base against the Covenant and the Flood too. Forge would be a neat bonus if they could pull it off.
There are so many cool battles and stuff missing from Halo:CE that were added to the canon via the book Halo: The Flood. This seems like the perfect place to get ideas for the expanded material of the game
It does sound nice, but not every combat scenario can work well transitioning from written form to video game form. That's like taking real military maneuvers and trying to accurately depict them in a movie. There's a reason why you don't see many real ones in films... they just don't work too well. Ask real military personnel that oversaw projects like that.
After just finishing up Ruby's Rebalanced mod, it added so much while staying true to the original atmosphere. A remake with those changes would be perfect.
Honestly I played the remastered graphics first But after switching to the classic and playing 343 guilty spark… Holy fuck was so much of the foreboding atmosphere lost
Honestly, this would be perfect for the game's 25th anniversary in 2026. Gives the Devs just enough time to perfect the aesthetic, audio, and cutscenes.
Funnily enough Halo 3 fits in the same boat as Resident Evil 4 for me in terms of remakes - it doesn't need it, but it could be so damn good if done right
Great video! While I'm not sure if it's the best move to just, take CE's artstyle 1:1 and put that in a remake, I can't deny it's something I'd be playing day 1. I think a more nuanced approach would be good, where things are interpreted ever so slightly, but steps are taken to make sure it remains faithful to properly remake Halo CE's artstyle for a modern remake of the game. Regardless of what happens though, the future of the Halo franchise is definitely going to be "interesting" to see play out. Hopefully once Infinite fully comes around 343i, Microsoft, and Xbox take the opportunity to continue making Halo experiences, and don't decide to just put Halo on the shelf for a while.
Having just finished Resident Evil 4 Remake this morning (video coming Wednesday (RING THAT BELL!)), I am now even more sure that Halo CE deserves a full remake.
NO IT DOES NOT !!! what we need is remakes of 4- infinite I love ce with a passion as well as 2-3 and reach this game is perfect the way it is it’s like asking for a back to the future remake anyone who agrees to a remake is a sheep it’s perfect the way it is don’t ruin a classic
Been thinking about this all day after watching the video, I want a CE remake so much. I love the idea of expanding CE, improving what's already there and fleshing stuff up. If done right it could very well be the thing that gets the franchise back up on its feet, hopefully someone at Microsoft or 343 sees this and understands how beneficial this could be
Off topic but I’d love a CE remake as it was my favorite video game. Picture this: you just came home from a long day at school of being bullied and bored and hopping on Halo CE and replaying through the campaign for the 1 millionth time and still feeling what you first felt when you first played it. That is what I want my children to experience! This game deserves a remake. Now for the off topic part: would Noble 6 be best friends with the Master Chief or would he not care to make friends?
Dead Space without question was one of the most faithful remakes I’ve ever played, and the new systems it implemented made it a vast improvement over the original. Remake did wonders for Isaac Clarke’s character, and I’m certain If 343 did something similar with Chief he could have more presence in the story when he needs to speak. Your suggestions for movement are good, since CE was quite slow in comparison to other halos. Same goes for vehicles too since they were quite slow and sluggish to control. An updated weapon sandbox would also be most welcome, along with adjustments to make weapons more viable since the pistol was all you’d ever see in multiplayer because other weapons were redundant. Overall once 343 has Infinite sorted, a combat evolved remake would be a good investment allowing 343 to familiarize themselves with the engine, but also reminding players why Combat evolved was among the best Halo’s.
Seeing what Kasheira did with Halo 3: CE makes me think it's more than easily possible to remake the game. Not to mention, Markus Lehto provided us a gorgeous Master Chief model, warthog model, and MA5B model to already start the process. I hope 343 Industries will give it a second go, and there's so many ways they could do it. Also, new content for a Halo: CE story could be a playable version of the Mona Lisa, or stuff from First Strike maybe!
The Jenkins mission suggestion sounds DOPE. Like just a imagine a mission where you are constantly slipping in and out consciousness, but you are always able to hear everything going on around you. Sometimes even while conscious, you are barely able to control your own movements or they are extremely sluggish. Maybe sometimes you can control where you look but not where you move and vice-versa. One moment you're among a horde of flood, and the next you wake up to the aftermath of having just slaughtered a group of defenseless marines. I NEED THIS
Unfortunately this whole video, and by extension comment thread, are full of unrealistic takes. None of this will ever happen. It's a shame, but it's a fact
A mission based on the cutscenes of Sgt Johnson and his team going into the containment facility just to find out it wasn't a weapons cache but the flood instead and you have to fight your way out as Sgt Johnson and a small group of Marines would be awesome
Hell yeah man. Ce being probably my favorite halo game of all time, it deserves some love. Lets not forget what started the Halo franchise. Also something about the CE soundtrack that is just so freaking good. Especially that song right before you meet up with the hunters on assault on the control room.
Rock anthem for saving the world in silent cartographer is such a vibe. Also on a pale horse in Assault on the control room with all the banshies flying around was such a breath of fresh air.
For a spinoff idea, I always thought it would be interesting to start off as a civilian surviving a covi attack, going to a military training facility, graduating, becoming a full soldier. Working up to an ODST with spi mk 2 armor. Give us a side of the conflicts from the view of a non Spartan, much much the halo 3 odst game. But made more to be a progression of a person's military career up to the point were you become the best outside of Spartans. Plus be a reason to bring back odst's :)
I would love to see them do this and focus more time developing the supporting characters in the story. For example, we never really see much of Rawley (Foe Hammer). Showing her more onscreen, perhaps interacting with Chief or Cortana between missions might make the players feel it more when she dies right at the end run.
Drones, Brutes, energy swords, battle rifles, Mongooses, Falcons/Hornets, pure Flood forms, etc... there's a lot of stuff that, just by adding to the sandbox, would freshen up the experience without taking it away from its fundamental essence. CE doesn't get enough love, and it's honestly my favorite game in the franchise.
Call it a pipe dream, but i think this project would be awesome if it was the full original trilogy in one game :D It would allow for them to make the games fully cohesive with each other, down to gameplay, enemies, art style, everything. It would ideally also make the ultimate sandbox of all of those games, and would hopefully be represented in the multiplayer mode. If this pipe dream is made in UE5 as well, they could hopefully add the ability to add maps like fortnite rn :) So there would be some dev made compilation of classics, but also the ability to let the community run wild
Crazy I was thinking this a few days ago. Was wondering what it be like if HALO CE,2,3 had a remake like how they did with its resident evil trilogy remakes, would definitely bring back all halo players from OG halo players and new players too.
What if we got an incredible look from space of the Truth And Reconciliation detonating on the surface as a cutscene? The visual in my head just screams Massive Sifi Action Thriller. And then there’s the devastating detonation of the Autumn and watching the fractured section of the ring slam into the other side of itself and ripping the rest of the heavenly world apart.
I know you’ve been taking a bit of a break from Halo but THANK YOU for uploading this, couldn’t agree more dude. Your ideas are brilliant, especially the “ultimate edition” involving all different CE canon lore 😄 let’s hope someone hears our prayers
Yes please. I’ve been saying this for years. I’d love to see the iterations of the later games in CE. Vehicle boarding, drivable wraiths, the sword, the gravity hammer, brutes, skirmishes, banshees evade movements, a scorpion that’s chain gun doesn’t suck, the fuel Rod, the brute shot, the BR, the beam rifle, scarabs, etc. plus adding in cut levels and the additional outside story beats would be so cool. Seeing cutscenes from the arbiters perspective would be awesome too. There’s so much they could do with a remade campaign. Adding in weapon swapping with marines, making Linda canon for splitscreen/co-op.
A remake with modern control fidelity and graphics would be good. But taking this chance to add in additional missions showing scenes from the books or even try turning CE into Halo 2 and giving you an arbiter style perspective of the Covenant's side of the CE campaign (heck you could even follow Thel's perspective) would be incredible!
A remake based on The Flood novel sounds like an awesome idea for a remake with more things to be added. With weapons, vehicles, and enemies being added like the weapons from reach
Turn fireteam raven into an actual halo game than a rail shooter. Why not ODST missions? And another thing with Jenkins. If he gets a level, why not let us play Johnsons escape?
I’d want new armour in the CE art style that could be selected for use in campaign. Maybe you’d have two armour sets to customise, one for multiplayer and another for campaign
very good video, all your points are good, adding the eliminated animal species and weapons would be a fantastic touch. Some things from the novels and comics, or fireteam raven could be added in the terminals or even as radio communications. For example, if you find a certain number of hidden objectives, you could unlock secret missions, such as Johnson's escape, Marvin Mobuto's hell, Jenkins' last sacrifice, etc. I know that a new graphics engine would make it stand out and be impressive, but also in one of your previous videos, you showed the work of kashiera (I think that's the way the modder is) who is making halo 3 ce, and certainly even if the engine is old, felt like a definitive version of halo ce
I love this idea. Halo Combat Evolved was the first game I ever played and my favorite game of all time. So if it would be remade I would be so hyped up.
I agree, I've been thinking the same thing for a while now. Honestly they should remake the entire original trilogy and use that to reboot the franchise and go a different direction with the campaign post-Halo 3. One thing that'll also need to change in CE is the repeating rooms. Also it'd be cool if in Halo 2 post credits they added the Forerunner Ship mission that was supposedly cut due to time constraints.
JUST DO IT!!! But don’t screw it up please. Cutscenes by Blur. Lean into the horror and wonder. Imagine if CE could be shown in the graphics of something like RE2. Unreal 5. Stay true to the original art style, sound design, concepts, and objectives. Extra missions (maybe in their own extras section) would be sick following those side stories! (I know this comment is all over the place - just been adding to it as I watch)
This would be a great idea, and I would be all for this. Although I would suggest a couple of things, hear me out: First, I would've like for Reach to be mentioned or at least talked about more. It doesn't have to a lot, but I think mentioning NOBLE team would be a good idea to incorporate the well... conaonical prequal and make us feel like their actions and sacrifices were not in vain. Another, albiet it would be a change, I would want the Marines to wear the Halo 3 BDU's. Unless there's a canonical reason as to why the Pillar of Autumn has Marines that have what look like outdated BDU's then that's whatever. However, personally I think that the Halo 3 BDU's are the most iconic, and would help streamline the story aesthetic from CE to 3. I would also think it would be pretty dope if there was a side-mission where you do play as Johnson as you escape Alpha Halo. I don't know what you all think?
Good ideas. And also, this remake could use features that weren’t present in the original ce, but were in the other games. Like hijacking vehicles, trading weapons with friendly ai, assassinations. The active camo and over shields power ups should function more like the halo 3 equipment where you can carry it anywhere and activate it anytime. I’m not sure about duel wielding cus I like how powerful the plasma rifle and needler were in ce compared to in halo 2 where you need to duel wield or they’re useless
11:13 I'm pretty sure Combat Evolved was originally going to be 40 levels if what I had heard in the past was true. Also, love your videos. You are the reason I've stayed with halo all these years. Through all the tough times in life, I could look you up and watch a cool video on my favorite sci-fi enemies.. The Flood. I hope your day is going amazing, will beg to see more flood content soon!
@@Xeno-The-Wanderer 100% agree, although I understand why halo infinite has its fans, it lost me when the never even got a nitty gritty with past of this specific Halo ring. When I played through on legendary I was hoping for The Flood. The legendary ending was cool, but not as cool as the awesome parasites we all know and love. (☞ ᐛ )☞
I would definitely love to see a CE remake. One interesting idea I had for the multiplayer is kind of like a halo 2 anniversary multiplayer experience. Like that one combined Halo 2 and Halo 4, combine CE and 3 in the remake for how multiplayer works. CE maps and weapons, but mechanics closer to a combination of CE and 3 could be cool
idk if a remake would go over well with anniversary edition being right there but that being said i wouldnt turn down a game that retold that story but with a new perspective, squad of marines or something odst like that ties in all the books and other games
Honestly, I think Halo 3 deserves a Remake too. Not just a Graphical Remaster, a proper, in-depth Remake like Dead Space 1 got...there are SO MANy elements that could be made better with additions from modern Halo, what if the Brutes had Energy-Shields? What if the Brutes used the proper Red Plasma Rifles? What if Truth had his Halo 2 Voice? What if the Allied Elites also had Allied Grunts and maybe even an Allied Hunter, for more continutity with Halo 2? What if the Voice Actors for the Librarian and Bornstellar voiced themselves in the Terminals? What if instead of 343 Guilty Sparks boss battle being fairly boring, he plugs himself into an Eradicator Sentinel (from Halo Infinite's Monitor Boss Fights) to make it more challenging? So many things could be done to make the Halo i grew up with feel better!
I could not disagree more. Halo 3 was practically perfect in storytelling and feeling like a good finale to Bungie's master chief. Don't fix what ain't broke.
Completely redo Miranda's death so it actually makes sense and doesn't it make it look like she committed suicide by brute sparked by severe depression over her father's death. The Arbiter actual voice lines when you play Adam so he's not just another silent protagonist in multiplayer. Actually make the arbiter of an important character instead of Master Chief's funny looking sidekick in coop. Actually bother to explain why the Prophet of Truth acts like a Saturday morning cartoon villain and why he sounds different( in my head Canon he hit his head against a wall and had an elite punch him in the throat so hard it permanently screwed up his vocal cords). Get rid of the very annoying slo-mo gravemind parts and actually put the gravemind in the game. Basically what I'm saying is make the game that Bungie should have made instead of the garbage we got
@@wittymchitty no it was not. The game never even bothered to explain why the Prophet of Truth acts like a wacky Saturday morning cartoon villain and why he sounds different. Miranda's acts like she has brain damage and her death is completely nonsensical because she goes on a solo rescue without even bothering to bring any Marine or ODST support with her. The arbiter barely has any role Halo 3 and is reduced to being Master Chief sidekick throughout the entire game and barely says a damn thing throughout the entire game( he just stands there silently) and it's so bad that that one female elite from Halo 5 has more lines than the arbiter does in halo 3.
@@mariobadia4553 343 did explain Truth's plan, however, and it makes his motivation so much better in retrospect. It turns out he did genuinely believe the great journey, but his own perception of it. He had hidden a population of San'Shyuum on a Shield World named Cloister, after the Rings had been fired, the San'Shyuum would be free to reshape the Galaxy, as Gods, as the Forerunners once did.
Sincerely, this is EXACTLY what I've always wanted. A bit more actually but still close. I always hoped for a CEA 2.0 almost because I despise CEA's artstyle. Yeah there are 1 or 2 things I may like but overall, I hate it. But the way you proposed a remake instead of just another remastered is genius in my opinion. I would love just basically a massive expansion of the Alpha Halo event. Including things from The Flood and First Strike and Fireteam Raven. I think it should just stick close with Chief's POV in the story with some mentions of the other stories happening at this time. Maybe terminals of Johnson's escape, Jenkins, Rtas, etc. They should keep the terminals present in CEA but then add these other ones in addition. The Keyes terminal is still amazing. I would also love maybe at least a mention of Thel Vadamee in either a terminal or maybe a few cutscenes showing what's going on the Covenant side of things sort of like Halo 2. Retroactively setting up that story dynamic in this hypothetical remake would be awesome! Also am gonna need to logs or terminals or something mentioning the Fall of Reach and Noble Team. But I NEED an almost nemesis type role that is taken by Zuka Zamamee. Not like Mr. X or Nemesis himself but maybe as just a reoccurring mini boss in all the locations Chief fights him in his story and especially on the Maw. I would love adding in some of the cut weapons too and finding lore fitting ways to bring them in. Also the cut wildlife and enemies too! Adding pure forms would be neat for an easter egg but I don't think they should be added in as I like the escalation in power the flood has in the original trilogy. I also would love that bonus mission of playing as a underpowered marine trying to make it through the Library. Sounds so cool! On the more unrealistic wishes, I would love DLC's either adapting fully or just parts of First Strike and/or Fall of Reach. I think if it had to be one it should be First Strike because the casual audience of Halo still don't know how Chief got back from the Halo ring along with Johnson and it would cool to have Linda there. They could also just adapt Fred's story on Reach with a cool mention of Jun. Overall, this hypothetical idea of a remake must have 1 thing for me and that's a faithful adaptation of the original CE artstyle. That is the one sin CEA did that I am still salty about. And just seeing the whole game just remade to look exactly as it did in 2001 but with a UE5 coat of paint on it would complete me. I know this honestly is unrealistic and won't happen and is just a lot of wishful thinking but GODDAMN I HOPE IT HAPPENS.
Agreed these suggestions are pretty awful ngl. However I don’t agree necessarily that 343 should focus on the important part of the franchise-given their track record and inability to maintain the franchise.
@@heretic117I think 343i should focus on fixing Halo Infinite first before starting any other projects. Halo Infinite deserves to be in a better state.
@@Ricardo_V That’s true but I don’t think Infinite will ever be “fixed.” The moment they announced that the game was free-to-play I knew the MP wouldn’t be great. But I agree that they should focus on improving what they have instead of pandering to nostalgia to sell CE once again.
Hadn't listened to Looming Dread in a year or two, listened to it for about 5 seconds editing this video and had it on repeat for ages after. SUCH a good track 🔥
@@HiddenXperia Hunk is like one of my top 3 characters of all time. Love the track they had playing for his separate mode in RE2 its so good! Looking forward to when/if that Hunk spin off game that was leaked to get announced.
imagine this remake idea but theres an extra mission after the campaign where you play as Sgt Johnson getting off the ring and he becomes a multiplayer skin.
I was pondering this thought literally only yesterday. In an era of remakes should we get a halo remade ? I'm scared of what it could become but if we got something like re 2 remake or dead space then the risk would be worth it. Awesome video as always dude!
I think when I first played ce, it was in anniversary mode. No prior experience before . When I was at the flood level, I definitely noticed the lack of things, what really got to be was a room set up for battle. I was getting scared, but when flood came in, I was pretty scared . And it made exploring ce in original graphics also very fun and entertaining. But seeing another halo ce remake would be interesting, I'd have to go in with no expectations, that way I'd be surprised and happy. And I think remakes of songs help just to make certain things clearer to the ears or to just quickly modify the volume of certain elements so they don't overpower eachother's presences.
I’m just terrified of how Microsoft could ruin it with predatory micro transactions, it’s sad that in todays gaming market you have to be worried about how bad a games might be rather than hyped about the possibilities. After infinite Ive sworn of getting hyped for games and will just wait to see if I’m pleasantly surprised or not
Don’t remake it: the way things are going in Microsoft, we will get a transexual Cortana and who knows what other abominations. Halo has crossed the line from sci-fi to fantasy when it went full wahmen power and this would be a slap in the face to Halo fans.
@Dman Look at Mario Bros: sure, they weren’t faithful to cannon but at least they kept up some of the appearances and it’s succeeding. Look at Antman, Netflix’s Cleopatra, Troy and pretty much and “historical” thing they do. Just respect some of the parameters now a days and you’ll have a hit. The bar is really low.
Funny how I recently started playing cod zombies with friends and reading the old Halo books again after buying the physical copies, and subsequently you release two videos back-to-back on those two subjects. Not the first time something like this happened, call it preternatural instinct :P The Marvin Mobuto bit sounds really cool if pulled off correctly. Would be hilarious even if you played him in a mode where The Library is just endlessly navigated until you (inevitably, like in the books) get overwhelmed kinda like in Firefight. If a remake were to be made, on a new engine, being absolutely faithful to the original game, as you mentioned, then that would totally rock! There could even be a second mode which adds all the cut content to the campaign. But I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
If they ever were to remaster the remaster they need to keep the damn Flood sections DARK. We have a flashlight, make us use it. 343 Guilty Spark and The Library are not meant to be bright and visible...
I really like the idea of making Halo: The Flood into its own game. 343 could also add The Fall of Reach and First Strike as additional campaigns to expand on the story of CE. I never really cared about Halo's multiplayer, but I would love a PvE mode like firefight being added.
It’d be neat to see some of these novel-based events at LEAST in a refreshed set of terminals (the CE Anniversary ones are actually stupid good, and a great addition, don’t get me wrong!), or maybe a set of side-tangent levels, something akin to the Protoss missions in StarCraft 2’s first campaign (Wings of Liberty). Edit: Also, a physics engine remake would go hard 😩
I wish I could do a Remake by myself, I'm thinking of adding an entire mission where you play as Jenkins as a Marine pov, a cutscene where a infection form almost infects Chief, an entire fight against that giant enemy that is canon now (from the 1999 demo) and a lot of possibilities... if only 343 listens man we could have one of the best trilogy remakes ever
All this lore that you do such a great job detailing in your vides always makes me wonder why the devs can't realize that they could still make a ton of money off of campaign add-ons and DLC's by simply making game installments with a 5 year plan, or something along those lines, where they just keep adding new content for a modest price. New mini campaigns, missions, etc. would be way less work than a whole new game, and it would build serious goodwill in the customer base. If budgetary constraints are a thing, I'm sure they could get lots of help from the community, who would be elated to be able to be involved on some level.
basically every "chief moment" in Fireteam Raven would fit really well into a CE remake imo, whether as an expanded cutscene or as a slight alteration to a level (e.g., expanding the cutscene at the start of The Maw to show off the battle going on around the Pillar of Autumn, or adding a short fight during Two Betrayals where you kill the pure forms that were swarming the ODSTs, etc.)
I have beaten Combat Evolved atleast 2-4 times a year since its original release. Beat it on the OG Xbox, 360, Xbox One, PC and with triple monitors. Right now i enjoy having it on the go on my Steam Deck. I also played through that SPV3 mod a few times. For some reason i just never get bored of its campaign.
On another note, while yes we have Halo: MCC, if a Halo: CE Remake were to release, how would they release it? Hook into MCC, or as its own stand-alone game?
Halo CE was such a masterpiece. There has never been another game quite like it. The atmosphere and mystery established by Bungie is simple perfection. I would happily throw money at an "artisticly faithful remake" as you put it. I still enjoy going back to CE for the story. 343i really should branch out into making spin off games in my opinion because there is so much more to explore! A lot of the novels have set up 343i for some great games.
Me encantaría, un juego solo con campaña pero una campaña larga y buena, pudiendo ir a la base alpha y explorarla alargando las misiones, agregando armas de halo reach, mecánicas como barrerse, correr y trepar, mejorar el combate etc, sería genial
Good news: Halo CE is getting a remake. New features include responsive movement, VISR, which can optionally be toggled for a flashlight, a tactical map, four player co op, Halo PC weapons for campaign, and functional vehicle and collision physics. This is all thanks to the work of *one woman,* Kiera AKA Kashierra faithfully remaking any assets when needed and using Halo 3 assets when not, rebalancing and recreating the entire campaign in ODST's engine, and the latest demos are drop dead gorgeous. This is a growing sentiment I've been feeling that the future of Halo is just as much in our, the community's hands, as it is in 343's. Halo community projects have been around for a while, but it's only now that they're starting to make meaningful progress. Whether it's in a Halo engine like The Vengeful Vadam's Halo 2: Uncut or in another game like Operation Trebuchet, I'm more excited for community projects right now than I am for anything official. I've even got a plan of my own cooking up👀
One of my all time favourite Halo books is Halo The Flood. If they give CE a reboot I would absolutely love it if they make it like the book and add in the characters and the ODST`s that we didn’t see in the game
I genuinely believe that a re2/4 and dead space style remake would be perfect. Keeping all that is great about the original but then adding new extra bonuses. I think 343 should turn their attention to working on this remake and have a side team finishing off infinite. Once they are done with the ce remake then a halo 2 then halo 3 then odst then reach and then scrap 4 and 5 or remake them completely but just better and actually good. Great video this is a gorgeous idea !
