Modernism Weekend One was a BLAST! It was my first time. I was hoping to thrift, but the house tours really kept us busy on such a short trip. It’s super fun and I have to say my favorite part was the architecture & landscape, and the maximum use of space with light.

I love that you actually showed us the inside of these fabulous homes. I have watched so many vloggers that never show you anything except their own face coming at ya in 3-D...I love the way you show us your beautiful face along with all the other things around you. Thanks for that.

I live in a town where all homes were built at turn of 20th century. Town is great with permit process but fights tear downs. People remodel with integrity to the period - it is cool. I didn’t open up my entire kitchen and I love that my dirty dishes are not front and center.

This is what happens when the Property Brothers DON'T come in and gut and modernize your house. A few years later you have a perfect home up to museum standards that everyone wants.

Exactly! Every 20 years people want to update but it will just be a dated 20 year old kitchen in time -- You'll never get the original charm back!!

I completely agree. Most modern homes today have the appeal and warmth of a dentist office. Everything is white and stainless steel. There is no color at all.

My fave part (aside from seeing you of course) was the triangular windows in the green gables house, it reminded me of my family home. When i was growing up i remember complaining that the light always came in those windows and woke me up, now however its my favourite part because it really does frame the outside view perfectly...thanks for sharing xx

Every time you showed the backdrop scenery, it didn’t even look real-it’s so beautiful there!! I love all the artwork-I wish I would’ve kept all the art my parents had. I was born in 1959, and they had a long, like sofa-length, painting of a horse done in neutrals and black. When they sold their house in 2008, I tore it apart looking for that painting!

That Gene Autry house!!!! The palm wall paper and those oval mirrors AND the bathroom with the Carrera(I think) marble tile on the wall and the oval mirror with the gold accents. ME, this video enhanced my happiness exponentially, thank you for including your audience in on the tour.

Wow these houses are so inspiring! My childhood home was filled with mid century modern furniture but then my parents got rid of it all in the eighties and filled it with meh! I long to have a home filled with this style. I'm getting there slowly! Great video!

Loved this! I recently made some big changes and decided to change my decor to this. You gave me some great ideas😍. BTW, am I the only one who noticed the older guy in the last house who seemed to irritated he was in the shot AND when he wasn’t. Seemed to pop up everywhere like Where’s Waldo ha!

Isn't that cool!? If you notice the store, retaining wall in the back of the house -- Rumor has it, it was built by the national guard on direct orders from President Kennedy for privacy for him & Marilyn's trysts in Palm Springs! I don't know if there's any truth to it but that's the word on the Palm Springs, Modernism Week streets. :)

I loved the Kennedy compound and the Cree house. I love houses with a central courtyard. I would love to have one like Frida Kahlo’s it was so rustic and elegant. Scent bird sounds amazing I never wear fragrance because it’s difficult to find one that doesn’t make me gag. I do like Stella.

oh how interesting im in awe with the huge glass windows couldn't tell if they opened up or just glass but to look out in yards was sooooo CALMING.. was interested to find out how did you get info on these beautiful homes? is there a certain time year this is done or was this a ONE TIME OPPORTUNITY?
