Some Japanese race cars at that time also did that. I forgot what the reason was, it has something to do with looking at the speed easily or something. Whatever it is, its style is very aesthetic
@@mayuravirus6134 these vehicles weren’t actually called “blackbird” or “devil Z” in real life, the anime calls it that to make it easier to identify in the TV show, so non car ppl are able to know who they were talking about
Around 1992, I met Mr. Yoshida at Dai 3 Keihin and raced on the highway. His car was very fast. My car was a GT-R R32, which had been modified to around 500HP. When we finally entered the tollgate, he told me to talk a bit in the parking area. But I was so shocked and said sorry to him. That late night, I found his car on the cover of Option magazine of the month at a bookstore. I found out why I couldn't beat his car.
@@Heroic_Flamethrower_Operator You can see my GT-R on my blog. In my channel "about" tab, you can see the link for the blog. I was so shocked when I met him at 第三京浜(Day 3 Keihin) . My car was also on the Option2 magazine once.
Bmx Rider thats one of the myths of the club. There’s not a lot of information on them in the west, mostly just in old Japanese tuning magazines. I’d say they were decent enough to not vandalize someone’s car, that would probably draw too much attention.
@@mayuravirus6134 there still very much alive, i saw it in facebook before featuring old and new members. They are not that active and races only in the track.
@@cascadeflims7261 indeed it was but sadly it never seen the light of the day again, the guys who found it wanted to work on it but it's hard to work on it so they left it behind like that. No updates afterwards so god knows what happened to that beauty
I think its done so the driver can see the speed he's going, having to look left or right can make your eyes wonder and when you are doing 300+kmh you just want to glance at the speed
This car only ever went 302 km/hm and the body is sleek enough to the point where it didn’t have much problems with drag. Behind the mirrors are also vents that allowed air straight to the engine and Inter cooler in the rear end so overheating wasn’t a problem, and the Porsche was also give a custom front bumper which has an upgrade in lights for better visibility at night.
Anyone wondering if akira nakai the rwb is the one who do the body work from this car? Maybe hes the who tune it before we all now that in 90s rwb is not famous before so maybe my theory is right or no? Anyone give me explanation do that .
Nakai didn't do the body work for Yoshida's Porsche. It was from Auto Garage TBK. Akira Nakai would always put his signature on his work one way or another.
Auto Garage TBK among other tuners and body shops worked on this Porsche, and as it sits today, it has the names of all the shops and tuners who worked on the car printed on the left side near the fender.
Auto Garage TBK is the go to Porsche bodyworkers back in those days before Nakai, Nakai has not made any relation to working Porsche's like these. Mostly either Abflug or Auto Garage TBK
Yatabe test track, it's now long gone and been made into a construction site. Some parts of it still exists as ruins and it's also due to the road's condition getting worse year by year and accidents occur commonly. Though now a new top speed track similar to Yatabe has been made
its not so impressive when you find out where all the parts are coming from. and that hes using different model car parts on the vehicle. KKK K33 turbos are a mercedes industrial turbo.
