Lol he is basically talking about his experiences in the estonian self-defense forces and how strict it was and jada-jada-jada. (He was in the Kuperjanov patalion which is one of the most famous patalions in estonia because of some guy during ww2). Probably shit you've heard him talk about in his english videos.
@@AIAllar during WWI rather.....the name of the battalion comest from lieutnant Julius Kuperjanov, a school teacher from Kambia, Estonia. He started in the tsarist russian army and during the Estonian war of Independence formed a well-known partisan batallion...I assumed all Estonians knew it tbh:)
As a finn it's funny trying to understand what Artur is speaking about, because I can understand or guess a lot of the words. Keep up the good work my Finno-Ugric brother!
"Kaitseväe" is a funny term for army. In Finnish "kaitsea" means to look after small children. "Lastenhoitaja kaitsee lapsia" means "The nanny looks after children".
For my English speaking gang, this is straight from google translate. Hi! I'm Artur Rehi, I'm a reservist. Everyone has their own opinion about the Estonian Defense Forces. Is conscription necessary at all? Why do young men have to "waste time" while serving the country? Is the Defense Forces just an outdated military structure from the 90s? Watch the video and maybe we'll share our opinion.
Tore, et ka eesti keelseid videoid teed :3 Ma arvan, et see inspireerib mehi (ja ka naisi kui läheb eksole) minna ja teenida meie kallist Eesti Vabariiki, niisiis. Elagu! Jõudu tööle edaspidiseks!💖🇪🇪
As someone studying Estonian...I only understood the title, I'm still at the beginning of my studies. Aita mind palun, sa räägid väga kiire ja ma ära saa aru mida ta ütleb (sorry if i got the sentence structure wrong)
Me: I learned inglish! now i can talk to other nations people! Artur: Tere! Thomas has never seen such bull.... before Edit: Anyone wanna make the tõlge

@@maryjoygelizon4268 yes it was easy to understand. Basically first he is telling about his life in Hollywood and he is telling about the Estonian army when they sent him letters to come to the army and he did not want to go. Then he talks about his experiences in the army and after the army and gives advice for people who are about to go to the army
As also finn living in helsinki filled with estonians i couldnt understand even 85% what he said so he probs look pics amd connected few small words to"understand" it Its not easy to understand as a finn
Basic translation: I served in the Estonian armed forces for 8 months, private rank; I made videos for my channel and also for the armed forces as commercials and guides, I sang to soldiers and civilians, I finished high school and went to college in hollywood, I got a job visa, Estonian army called to service, didn't like it at first but as time went on it got better, started making promotional videos for the army after I asked the army's media managers, sang and played guitar/accordion on events. Remainder of the video he encourages other Estonian gentlemen to say yes to the service and not try to avoid it. He also mentions that it made him a better and stronger person. It also helps with getting employed later in life.
Kas kaitseväes on koht kuskil näiteks puhkpilli mängijatele? Näiteks mingi orkester või nii. Tahaks teada, sest ma ise lähen mõne aasta pärast ise kaitseväkke
@@cartoonist7578 is there a place in the military for woodwind/brass players in a band? I want to know, because I will have to go myself in a few years
First i was surprised about how much i could understand as a finnish person, then i remembered that most of the words i understood probably mean something completely different than what they mean in finnish.
Same here; except, when I try to build up the whole context of a sentence, I realized that there actually weren’t that many ”false friends”, because the context made sense to me 🤔.
Thanks Artur for the video, Im going to be doing my Estonian service next year after i finish school here in Ireland. Looking forward to be gaining some unique experience.
Mr Big I’m Italian and I have learned standardized Italian like most and sometimes I hear Spanish people talk and even though I don’t understand I sometimes think they may be speaking Italian with a weird accent until I realize it’s just gibberish to me
