Thank you everyone that has watched this video. Like, dislike, comment I appreciate you for your input. I made this video three years ago (2017) when the game came out the first week because, well you see the gameplay. Spent the entire day recruiting them just to be stabbed in the back. I was underleved and one mission away from going to bed (I think I spent more than 10 hours that day) as much as I was mad and trust me when I tell you I was mad spending so much time recruiting those orcs to join me just so they did what they did. Thank you Pash for your service may you RIP. Again thank you everyone for your opinions and enjoy!
@@juanjoseph Considering that Sauron and Saruman are likely inspired by the opposing sides of WWI and Tolkien's dealing with it, I guess you are right.
I like that the 4th betrayal has the guy say "Unless I wait for the right moment." Like, it's the character's random dialogue that would have played anyway, but the fact that he says it after several others already started a coup makes it work just that much better.
This game thrives on random stuff and players making connections for a story. One of my favourite orcs was a very dumb one that got promoted because he got lucky and the captain that killed me died before he could end me. He then proceeded to kill me 4 times, and every time it was because of dumb good luck on his part. It was so satisfying when he finally ran out of luck
@@bennyblubman9476 and even at one point he nearly killed talion with that grapple move I would of let him run then sent him a death threat and kept building the story
Imagine being passh getting five promotions in a day and going from barely being allowed to sit at the big boys table to becoming the right hand man of the leader in a single day, just because you forgot today was betrayal day.
I can already imagine it, (Hartok the forgetful is rushing to the battlefield, reeking of grog and trips over a boulder before finally realizing he forgot his swords) Hatok:"Blast it, hope im not to late...eh whatever, I doubt the grave walker can..." (Upon reaching the battlefield he witnesses the carnage unfold and decides to just wait it out) Hartok:(popping another bottle of grog) "Something tells me im getting a promotion" (downs the grog) "IM COMING TO SAVE YA GRAVEWALKER"
@@ifipaidmybartabtheu.swould9208 "Az-Laar! (Smash?) Our assumptions are confirmed! (What?) He showed up late to the meeting! (Late!) He's sold us out to the Gravewalker! [No, wait...] Bash his head in! (I will enjoy this...)"
Can we all just take a moment to recognise the true hero of this movie, Pash the Grimm. No ring of power, 3 and a half feet tall, but he took down 3 out of the 5 lieutenants while Talion was still doing his best not to get decapitated.
Though i would like to point out Talion did deal his fair share of the damage, props to Pash nonetheless. That deadeye loyalty was just enough to help turn the tides back in Talion's favor; you don't have to worry about finishing them off with an ork(?) at your side!
Lmao 3 and a half feet tall? He’s 6 feet tall at least and he’s one of the shorter and leaner orcs. He’s definitely stronger and faster and larger than the average human. Talion makes the orcs seem weak because he’s a nuclear powerhouse in a man’s body 💀
"They say you're too strong to take on.. but I thought: not if the timings right." That one line made this whole scenario feel incredibly scripted but I know it isnt.
Isaak Morningstar If he would have died in the video he would have been a martyr. He could have died later on from anything. And yeah maybe, you don't know what he likes to do with his spare time. 😉
Zugor: “everyone says you’re too strong to take on. And I thought, not if the timing is right” What a perfect line for the moment. Makes it sound like Zugor was the mastermind behind this.
@@andresfajardo6838 Talion: Pash for your loyalty and courage under fire, I hereby promote you to Overlord. Pash: Thanks boss! And don't worry about these tarks, there are plenty of Catagors that are hungry.
The nemesis system is sooooooo good, this is such a unique encounter for the game, I wish there was more variety in the combat to keep me interested longer
@@michaeljenner2325 unfortunately Warner Bros games copyrighted the nemesis system, so pretty much only they can deliver on that front, unless some other studio manages to make one that’s both unique, and does all the things the nemesis system does
I had the same issue with the combat, I started forcing myself to use the terrain/traps as much as possible to change every encounter, plus going back and forth between stealth, creating mini armies, and just running in on my graug or caragor
Wow dude out of all the comments I read and reacted to. I never saw this as an option but it was always there. Watching the video again and seeing that I couldve died to that one captain meant this video wouldve never happened lol but I remember getting so mad when it happened. Death was the only option in my eyes
Amidst all the betrayals, Zugors line (1:10) was so fitting. "Too strong to take on... Not if the timing is right" Which it is now when 4 others captains betray you.
@@gerbilpanda1703 i remember i got betrayed and killed by four of my captains, i shamed them till they hit level 1 and then murdered them like they were NPCs
"Hey Pásh, we're betraying the Bright Lord today and we'll probably kill him because he's outnumbered, you want to help?" Pásh: HES CALLED THE BRIGHT LORD FOR A REASON AND ITS NOT FOR SHOWING MERCY, I CHOOSE LIFE
"Wrong choice git!" *Gets his face bashed in at the start* *Bright Lord revives him and kills all the others* Pash: And dat's how yas gets a promotion.
So the real hero for this tale was a young orc name pash who after being betrayed and almost murdered by another orc captain was saved by the gravewalker who immediately was betrayed by 4 more orc captains. The young Pash new without a doubt now was the time to repay that life debt and he lept into action providing all the support he could. his actions allowed him to take down 3 orc captains and save the gravewalkers life. Some say Pash became a warchief others say an overlord but one thing for certain is the gravewalker knew Pash was a loyal orc
I know a lot of people are way better than me but I can handle 5 on brutal easily. Probably because I have the humiliator. I can handle a whole siege a lone Probably... (I should try it now that I'm thinking about it)
KeiosKod The first betrayer tried to kill him so I dont think he would have chosen to side with them. Good thing too cause Pash was the first captain to save me from an execution in an earlier captain ambush
I love how it was so perfect, like it was a group of the Uruks and ologs that planned on turning on you, and it’s even better by that one uruk saying “not when the timing is right”
This clip is awesome and the fact that each of their dialogs match up with the last one. Not if the timing is right. Even if its just all random it feels like all of them conspired to kill you. This is epic.
1:10 "Everyone says you're too strong to take on. But I thought, "not if the timing is right, eh?" That phrase was so spot on, that I can't believe it wasn't scripted. I should play this game.
Caleb Small and I have NO doubt in my mind that "the gutless" was the one that orchestrated the whole thing, I mean, he even said that to betray you, he just had to have the right timing!
Honestly the dialogue in this game LITERALLY makes you feel like they masterpieced an entire story together that's streamed, but still RNG. It also makes sooooo many of the fights seem so unique. I would love to learn how many lines of dialogue are stuffed into this game, because they sincerely aced it! Also, 5 Betrayals at once, friggin awesome that you took them on!
@@adamh509 And even when you start getting overwhelmed, you aren’t exactly helpless. All you have to do is advance in another direction, heal, maybe grab some arrows, then return to the fight.
@@andresfajardo6838 Yes! Had Pash turned on you, you would have been dead. How is he now? Are you drinking the best grog together? This clip would make me make sure he gets a major rank.
Only because they claimed rights to nemesis system. It’s not like other companys don’t think of doing similar thing in own games. Monolith are just assholes and decided not to allow other creators to do this. Imagine if Doom had claimed rights to shooting in games
I don't think they can copyright the idea of the Nemesis system. What they probably did was copyright the code they used. If I make a better system with different code they can't do shit. This is a difficult system to code into a game and other studios simply have other priorities.
@@firestarter4614 that doesnt make sense, does that mean that ID software (now bethesda) could literally claim the rights to all first person shooting games? Or Ubisoft claim rights to parkour? (Assasins creed) Lol that just doesnt sound like its real m8
@@justanotherguyful actually no, nemesis system is actually different, from parkour Or fps in games, nemesis is an in depth mechanic of the game which is unique to middle earth series, and thus the devs basically patented the idea, parkour Or fps on the other hand isn't ubisofts or Bethesda s idea or ip, thus even if they want, they can't patent it, there are more examples of game devs patenting unique game mechanics, MEDIUM devs fr example, patented the unique simultaneous dual reality system shown in the game.
This game still somehow manages to keep me entertained. I play exactly the same almost every play through, but the new Orcs I meet and moments in the game keep me coming back. I’ve never had so much fun with a game in my life.
Well, unless you're Megatron, in Which case it will usually be Just Starscream betraying you. But yeah, it probably I'd a more realistic portrayal of Beteayal
It's called a rebellion in game. It's guaranteed to happen if you have too many orc captains in one region. The game basically forces it to create enemy captains.
I love how when playing this game you feel like you have real rivalries and relationships and it just keeps you playing because you get so attached to the orcs
I dunno. This is more like when the Night's Watch betrayed Jon Snow...only for him to reveal he had a lightsaber and Force powers, and proceeds to gank them all.

The only thing in both of the Morder games that has a permanent spot in my memory is in Shadow of Mordor. This one defender captain had to have killed death itself with how many times he came back to life, and killed me quite a few times as well. He had become so immune to damage and techniques I eventually only had one avenue to kill him, which was basically to mob him with bodies, and any allied orc captains I had could barely stand up to him. Couldn't dominate this monster either, he was fearless and battle-hardened. It was so bad the five red "boss" orcs at the end of that game were so easy it was almost disappointing. I never saw an orc with the number of strengths he had since, in either game.
Man wish I got something like that. Only person I got close to that was some olog who kept breaking my swords as he was immune to essentially my entire build lol.
Same here. Funny thing is, mine carried into shadow of war and is my rival there too. I must say, he was so much tougher in SOM but in SOW he just won’t fucking stay dead. Azdush the slippery is one bad orc.
I had one in shadow of mordor aswell but i FINALLY killed him after trying so har basically he has like 1 weakness and a shitload of immunities and strenght and his weakness is that he is Mortally Vulnerable to stealth now u might say "thats easy just be sneaky and stab him from the back" well you see i tried but .. HES IMMUNE TO STEALTH one day tho while he was guarding the warchief ... i jumped on top of him (stealth) and fucking murdered him So i think i was able to do that simply cuz i jumped on top of him which i think the immunity did not cover
The nemesis system is so cool. One of my favorite gaming stories comes from the first one. There was this one orc captain that I just didn’t take seriously when I tried killing them so I kept dying in some dumb ways. It eventually got to the point where he was beating me even though I was trying. It took like 10 encounters to finally kill him. Then like 3 hours later he comes back from the dead to fight me one more time. Literally one of the best twist reveals I’ve ever experienced in a video game lmao
I remember something like this happening to me. I was fighting 2 high level enemy captains and my bodyguard betrayed me. Just as I was about to die, dugz metal beard came and decapitated the traitor. Then we fought the others and he decapitated them too. I called him dugz the beheader after that and made him my bodyguard despite being a really low level.
@@ahmedmanaseer8696 or power through loyalty. Working up your career through the orc hierarchy is tiresome. For you he's a special orc, for orcs he's just another upstart.
The fact that Zugor seemed like he was the cause of the mass betrayal and the resignation in his voice before his death as if he has realised that his plan had failed was awesome.
Now I know that we’re all thinking that it’s cool that he got 5 betrayals at once. But can we talk about what a real g pash is? Man saw all of his Friends turn back to the dark side and said. N A H
Tbf his head was bashed in by said traitor to start things off. I like to think Pash caught wind of the impending coup, was on his way to tell Talion and got caught
@@Varagoth this is my first time ever seeing anything on this game (recommendation kept popping up so I decided why not) and I feel the same I am now invested in thinking Pash knew what was up
I'd by defaut make him the Overlord of that region's fortress. Betrayel is a common tactic in Mordor, one I myself use against warchiefs in both games. Legitimate loyalty should be praised and rewarded.
Ahaha this happened to me as well first time I played, I spent ages hunting down a legendary orc I wanted in my army. He was higher level than me so I even had to shame him down a bit, while dying a lot a long the way and fleeing battle numerous time (I didnt know at the time stuff like this affected your orcs loyalty towards you). So when I finally got him he like instantly betrays me setting off a bit of a chain reaction as well with my other orcs, I was livid!
@@DzakyAmany The caragor was blue - still loyal It was like "Do you have shit for brains, you black-blooded waste of skin? THAT IS THE GRAVEWALKER. YOU WILL DIE. GET OFF ME!" If caragors were big dogs it would have been more along the lines of "I'm loyal" than "R u r3tarded?" but they're big cats soooo... Arrogance abound
I agree. He got it, only to end up dying soon after though. But the Nemesis system doesn’t just have negative effects to make the game harder for you. It also has some effects that benefit you. Such as one of your Orcs deciding to show up with a gift for you or an Orc cheating death just keep serving you. I’m not kidding. I’ve actually had both of those things happen to me in one playthrough. I’ve also encountered a rather friendly Orc that just wouldn’t fucking stay dead. Seriously, I killed him like 4 or 5 times and he just kept coming back. Even after I killed him during a story mission. I wanted to recruit him because I liked his friendly nature, but I unfortunately had to make him lose his sanity so I could do that.
I hope that quote doesn't mean half of his troops turn traitor and the other half become paranoid and obsessively hunt down the alleged traitors after he disappears. *THE DARK ANGELS WERE ALWAYS THE MOST LOYAL CHAPTER, WHO ARE THESE FALLEN YOU SPEAK OF!? WHO TOLD YOU!?*
A bit late but I think I know why, good old Passh is a beast master (on top of being a beast), so I think the moment firebreath turned, he either turned the Caroger against his rider). Sorry for my misspelling, been a while since I’ve played.
The Gutless guy had made all of their entrances look like a badass scheme. That was perfect. Two in front saying they’ll kill ya, one surprising you from behind to try to steal the kill. Absolutely perfect
The fact he does that while also choosing to say _"But I thought, "Not if the timing's right!" eh?"_ really sells home the headcanon that this was all _HIS_ Plan. And he just managed to find a few more brothers who were on board with a coup too.
@@Jamushu now that you mention it, his last lines and even his being the final death kind of sells it off. Let him watch his plans crumble right before slaughtering him, too.

What I love is this looks like an actual scripted event. After the first 3 declare betrayal, the fourth straight up pushes Talion and holds him down and talks about how the timing is just right, almost as if all these captains are working together to coup him out.
Man, I started playing again and got these recommended clips, I had a recent blood brother revenge betrayal and when I had him on his knees about to die he said to me “I should have known better than to go against you. Boss.” There was such a long emotional pause right before he said boss. I never felt such remorse for killing an orc before.
3:37 I'm happy the caragor stayed loyal to you. At this point, you should just use animals to lead you armies so you don't have to deal with this betrayal nonsense.
Ahh, revenants are better. So long as you account for their weakness to fire. They never betray you, but they don't level up and they are 5 levels lower than when they died, so... it's cool, but not the best idea ever.
