Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor - Test of The Wild and The Hunt is My Mistress Trophy [1080p HD]

This is the toughest challenge in the game and many people haven't achieved this challenge and the trophy. I tried this challenge just like I did other challenges in normal way. The main objective is: Kill 5 Warchiefs and 20 captains and no Intel provided.
Bonus Objective for Elite boards are:
1. Earn 13,000 points
2. Kill 10 Captains with Monsters
3. Complete in 40 minutes (awards 1000 points)
Strategy:
1. Gain intel as soon as you can for all captains and you can do this by branding near by uruks where you spawn on the tower. There are many uruks to find and also when you find worms gain intel about Warchiefs.
2. Now, mount on a caragor (plenty to find) and fire an arrow to one of the hanging meat nearby to call the Wreteched Graug. Mount on it and find the Captains on the map, locate and kill them. Kill 10 or more Captains as soon as you can and go for a Warchief.
3. If you gain intel for Warchief 'Zugor Beast Butcher', go for him first. As he fires Fire arrows and it helps a lot and very easy to kill other Warchiefs and Captains after you brand him.
4. Command Riots after you brand the Warchief. Even if you can't kill the Captains as Bodygaurds to a Warchief, when you go for a Warchief, if you kill him first the Captains take their position. But still they considered as Captains. The main Warchiefs are only 5.
5. Make sure to earn the score atleast 13,000 before killing last Warchief or Captain. If you haven't incase and still have time kill near by uruks or caragors or free the slaves. These will earn you enough points.

Haha. Nice. I had same panic feeling in this video towards end. The last Captain who became Warchief was invulunerable to ranged attacks and combat master. All I had to do was using daggers and then Wraith blast and wraith burn.

Bro, I appreciate this walkthrough. Took me 4 tries using your strat. First 2 I knew I was talking too long, but I wanted to get through it and see what my score was. 3rd try I was only 600 points off, finally finished with 14500 at 39:01. Thanks, man.

bloczek91 Thanks Man. Appreciate your kind words. I have been away from this game for a while now cos busy with Batman Arkham Knight and some other games. But I'll check and let you know what runes I used. But I used two runes always. One was 'Tower of Defence' that keeps your combo going and gives extra 10 seconds. The other one was I don't remember the name but it fills your arrow meter when you do the wraith burn after the wraith flash when the combo meter glows or turns into red. This helps a lot in doing the shadow strike frequently so that you combo flow continues.

Any idea what to do about captains that arent bodyguards and that you need to defeat in a mission? Loosing the achiev for 1m23sec because of that... And I believe I took too many time getting intel/looking for a Graug...

I think, you need to go for them individually. It is best thing if you kill as many captains as possible with Graug. Even if you command the Warchief to start riot against the captain it will be easy to kill him but I'm sure it will waste time. Indeed, it is important to get the intel about Warchiefs and finding a Graug in less time as much as possble.

So is the score calculated by those exp? As in when you stealth kill someone it says "10 uruk warrior and 40 stealth kill"? Or is it calculated differently?Also, how do you start the Test of The Wilds? It isn't appearing on my map (done the Torvin campaign)

Do you have to do the intel deal? Most of the captains are succeptible to combat finisher, wraith flash, or fire arrow/explosions.

Servers are going to close after 2020/12/31. Do you know if it is necessary to go to leaderboards to get the trophy, like the Lord of the Ring trophy?

You don't need to be in leaderbaord to get the trophy. As long as you achieve the objects of the challenge within the time, the trophy will popup.

I love this game. This is what War lacked. A mode where you just hunt down captains… The siege stuff in War is too frustrating to me, because the controls are all screwed up. The player getting stuck in corners, attacking the wrong orcs and so on and so on. War is so extremely unpolished that it hurts the game… Mordor I feel is a much better game over all

Harry Ellanki i did it man, first attempt i failed because its been a while since i haven't touch my computer and i have to get used to it. I did like you said, gain intel, tame the graug, kill those green captains, brand zugor, and do the riot to every warchief. I did it in 38:09. thanks a lot, now i'm doing test of the ring

I think you need to finish the DLC to unlock the challenge. You'll unlock the abilities/runes after finishing the DLC and those abilities are needed to finish the challenge.

you fucked up in the last 5 minutes..May be you were under pressure.. I suspect captains moving all the time when we have to find them, i'm pretty sure devs made a nice algorithm... I'm still trying to get that stupid achievement...I'm so close because now and i did need nothing...The butcher is the key, i think everybody found out lol...What a beast, rocket spammer !!! XD

Well...you could say that. I did the big mistake of killing my Warchief in the end. I pressed wrong button instead of commanding the Warchief and his bodyguards to kill the last warchief. The last warchief is immune to some combats to add my pressure. But I did it in the end and it was very close indeed.

I did it some days ago, i needed 37 minutes...I completed the last achievement too "lord of the ring" and i think that was harder, we must kill 5 WCs, 12 CAPTs and (8 capt or WC must be marked when it' over) pretty insane XD, and when i said you fucked up, i was joking ;), i know how hard is this achievement....BTW the ranking is crazy, some players have 20 millions PTs LMAO

You are right but for me compared to Lord of the Rings, Hunt is my mistress trophy was hard. I think the leaderboards are hacked. The score you are seeing probably PC players. You know what they can do. Same thing in Arkham games too. Some people finished toughest predator challenges in 20 seconds or so and Combat challenges have scores in millions....

I dont know why you spent 8mins getting intel. All you needed to do was getting that groug to the main bases and you would certainly find most capts there. I still like the groug strategy thou, I was trying so hard to use the Caragors LMAO. Thanks.

+Sithlord ™ Yes, maybe. But, the Captains appear in random locations. Instead of not knowing them where they located, if you go around after mounting the Groug, you may have chance to waste the time. In this challenge every minute counts as we have only 40 minutes. Killing Captains with Caragaths is possible but very hard and time consuming as most of Captains are high levels. If you try the strategy of not getting intel of any captains then great! :)

+Harry Ellanki (ellankih) I think if both of your strategies are mixed it is the perfect match. Storm the two bases (bottom midle one i find has 1-3 at random) with a graug because with wraith vision you can tag the, usually, 4-5 captains in the base, kill them, and THEN gain intel for the others. That way you save time not gaining intel on guys you will run into for fighting another (the base capts), but then you gain the intel to prevent wasted time on the other 10-14 captains out in the fields.

+Sithlord ™ Just completed Test of the Wild in 35:47 with 17k points. Didn't get the intel at the beginning like you said. Fast traveled to Fort Morn and spawned the graug, then ran round the map getting the captains that spawned and interrogating worms for intel on the warchiefs. Did that untill i got the mission to kill Zugor and finished the 'Kill 10 captains with beasts' objective. Defeat and brand Zugor like in the video. After that just make him riot with the remaining warchiefs and captains untill you finish. Just shadow Strike kill Uruks during the riots to build points and The Hunt is my Mistress achievement is yours! Thanks so much Sithlord and Harry for the help in this. So glad it's over :D

These are challenges. Not missions. You can't find these on map. You can find these missions in the game menu. But to unlock Test of the Wild, you need to finish the DLC first.

You bet I do, even if it would take another 4-5 years to be even able to be played by me (that`s how bad my hardware is, it cannot even run this game for shrakh. (facepalm)) and what I`m especially looking forward to is the upgraded Nemesis System, since they apparently claim that in there, you can face so-called "Nemesis Strongholds" and have Followers as well. Also, if you can actually Brand bloody OLOG-HAI as well ... then my life would be so complete, no matter how much it breaks lore or something.

Ugh, just completed @ 41 minutes and 8,000 sometging points using this. Time is try again, but I shpuld have been @ lest @ 12,500 points to gold anyway if I did the exact same thing bit lucked into it faster.

Not sure. But probably you have to as there are some abilities are different from the main story, ex: taming the Caragaths and Wretched Graugs.

Kevin Bonilla That is strange if it's locked even if you finish the DLC. Probably it is because some of the DLC story is related to Main story where Talion meets Torvin and the events happen after that. Not sure if this is causing the problem.

Those runs are with same level of abilities and no point of taking and equip them. Only Epic runes are worth to equip. Buy you can collect and sell them. I think I didn't need to do it as I upgraded everything and had good epic runes. That's the reason all the runes re scattered around.

The best strategy to get the score is keeping your combat streak going. Use the Tower of Defence epic ruin and it helps you to keep the combat reset to 10 seconds. The higher the combat, the higher the points you get.

@@Predatorwarrior18 Not the actual story campaign. There are two story expansions or DLCs. Lord of the Hunt and Bright Lord. If you finish these two DLCs then you will unlock the respective challenges.

Use Shadow Mount to mount graugs and caragors and kill them off immediately after. U get bonus points for mount killing them (150 for caragor and 200 for graug) and gain intel as soon as u can. I would recommand to death threat all captains as u get more points the higher the captain's level is. Level 20 warchiefs and captains give u 1,000 points each! Use graug as much as u can because it is much easier and ur graug can eat them even if the captain hate graugs. I was able to gather 10,000-11,000 points after 25-30 minutes.

One of the most horrible achievements I have come across. Aren’t achievements supposed to be fun? This is a poor excuse of an achievement and only exists to drag out how many hours you play for.

This was the only achievement with little bit pain. Rest of the challenges and achievements were simple.
