Not a very impressive game by Michigan, they better get it together because they have to go to Madison, Wisconsin in only 3 weeks.

It's really too soon to judge Michigan because 1. they were missing their best receiver and starting RT and 2. this was their first game with Gaddis as OC. I thought the defense looked good tonight. 2 of MTSU's TDs came from Michigan turnovers in their own territory and 1 was a garbage TD in the end. 2 things bothered me tonight: the fair catch muff (which looks worse than muffing a pop fly in baseball) and several dropped passes by Michigan receivers. I'm confident that at least one of the two injured players will play next week. We'll know a lot more about Michigan after facing an Army team that underwhelmed offensively on Friday.

Thought the team looked good other than the D line, thought they should of gotten a lot more pressure and sacks against a bad mtsu o line, they gonna need to step it up a lot once the start playing Wisconsin, penn state, army, etc

How in God's name and please answer this if you know but how has Michigan become known as one of the elite top programs in college football? Considered a program apparently that could win a National Championship any year? How is it possible for the Michigan Wolverines to be looked at like that? And I asked that not to be mean but just to be factual Michigan has one only a single National Championship in the modern era of football and that championship what shared by a Nebraska team that if they had lined those two teams up to play, Nebraska would have worn Michigan out by 35 and everyone considers Nebraska the true National Champions that year and should have been a crime they had to share it with that Michigan team. Proof? Michigan's best wins in 1997 were over weak conference foes Ohio St, Penn St and Wisconsin and all 3 of those teams were humiliated in bowl games that year? Why does that matter? Simple because Tennessee was the big dog that year in the SEC and Nebraska blew them the hell out 42 to 17 with Tennessee being ranked #5 going into the game and Michigan kept displaying their weakness somehow playing 14th ranked Washington St in the Rose bowl squeaking out a 21-16 victory. Also the same year Charles Woodson stole Heisman from Peyton Manning. When you think about it there is a reason Michigan was able to get that weak bowl game because that's back when the Pac-10 and the Big Ten hid behind that Rose Bowl arrangement to avoid playing any top team in the bowl games. That was before anybody in the Big Ten discovered that speed kills so that Michigan team would have been destroyed by four or five SEC teams and certainly would have been completely destroyed by Nebraska that year and for God's sake everybody really considered Florida State to be the best team in the country that year going into the bowl games so that's another team that would have killed Michigan. I only detailed all that to prove Michigan should never have won a single National Championship in the modern era of football, so please what in God's name is it that has Michigan ranked so high every year and considered a national championship contender when they truly have never won a national championship in the modern era of college football? And all they are truly known for is being The Whipping Boy for Ohio State who has whip their ass how many years in a row now? Surely we are in double digits so is it 10 years or 11 years or what and my God last year the lock of the year if you bet football was when Michigan came in as a favorite against Ohio State. I mean I did not bet one single game last year until that game when I realized Michigan versus Ohio State and they were going to give me Ohio State and give me points? Well very quickly I bet $1,000 on Ohio State and turn the game on once to check the score and laughed my ass off nodding my head thinking yep that was a gimme? So to anyone that votes in the rankings of college football go ahead and even take a look at this game and see how weak Michigan looked against this team and please whatever you do it will be a crime if you rank Michigan in the top 15. In all honesty Michigan has never been a top-tier team in college football and never will be. Especially while they keep Jim Harbaugh as their head coach who has committed highway robbery in front of everyone in Michigan with the money they have paid him to not win one single Conference Championship and check that Jim Harbaugh has not even won his side of the conference yet. Think back to when he was hired people, because Michigan fans tried to argue he was a better Coach than Nick Saban. Oh my God did you hear what I said they tried to say he was a better Coach than Nick Saban. Hahaha hahaha hahaha oh my God hahaha. Our D really struggles with mobile QB's and we are soft on the edges. Everyone is on to that now. I hate to say it, but if our boys don't really focus this week and tighten things up, Army could give us serious problems.

I'm a little concerned. They let Middle Tennessee score 3TDs on them. At home. MUCH better defense will be needed the rest of the way especially with our schedule if we are to make the playoffs.

Michigan, Harbaugh, coaching staff....sloppy .However, UM...if If IF playing error free and with strong fundamentals... is unbeatable due to loads of raw amazing talent everywhere plus depth. The errors and penalties and overall sloppy play , unfortunately, is on Harbaugh and his coaching staff. Gotta wrap up on tackles guys, gotta help out, have to focus better, and get rid of turnovers. Imagine how much lethal UM will be once People's Jones returns on offense along with Jeter on defense. Fundamentals and better judgment at QB by Shea Patterson are essential if UM wants to go undefeated this season. Stars of game: Ambry Thomas and that big strong bruising frosh RB with speed and fine vision .The veteran OL looked very solid as well. UMs backup QB just might be the better starter. He's VERY intelligent and poised. He has a very strong arm. Tall. Fine vision and running skills. Grades: Special Teams : B Offense: B Defense: C+ Coaching C / C-

I just watched these highlights... Not the whole game so my impressions may be skewed... But from what I saw of Michigan I'm not impressed. A little sloppy protecting the football and not dominant on defense. Looked like some of the players spent more time practicing their end zone routines than anything else.

If they were playing a bit better competition in this game,, they might have had a hard time winning this game. This game had the feel it's because of who they're playing made the wolverines look better than what they actually might be.

It's funny what perspective does, I'm pleasantly surprised and excited for the season after the loss. Most Michigan fans are disappointed and worried after the win.
