Middle Village, NY 125mph Downburst/Tornado: September 16th, 2010 [HD] 

This was without a doubt the worst storm to hit my area in 25 years. I have been documenting storms out of the NYC metro since 1985, and what I witnessed yesterday was nothing short of insane. Incredible damage to my neighborhood and we'll be cleaning up for weeks to come. Normally I have to travel thousands of miles to document this type of weather, this time around, it came to my front doorstep!
The official call has been made and what I documented was a 125mph downburst (wind speeds in the EF2 range). This downburst was 5 miles wide, and 8 miles long. And EF1 tornado touched down a short distance from me in Flushing and Bayside, Queens.
