This relationship developed so naturally and beautifully. I love how under all their flirting, they were always very serious about caring for each other. You'd think they were just super attracted to each other, but they are actually more protective, supportive and caring than their other spouses ever were.

I think I’m in love with this pair. It’s so rare I’m media to see a man respect a woman’s work and admire her before falling for each other. Even after they sleep together Lenny is laser focused on getting Midge to see her career and potential more clearly. He sees her not just as a woman but first as a peer. Thats so dreamy to me

Of all the dialogue and connection between these characters throughout the show, Lenny’s final line in season 4 is the most impactful and powerful, “If you blow this, Midge, I swear… It will break my f*cking heart” truly shows that Lenny sees the potential and greatness in Midge, almost like he’s more concerned for her career than his. Magnificent writing 👏👏👏

one of my favourite things about these two as a pairing is that you can tell the writers never intended for lenny to be a love interest or for this pairing to happen romantically. they've openly said that they cast luke intending him to be in the pilot and nothing else but he was too good and his chemistry was too strong with rachel that they eventually kept having him show up and in doing so, they've written a relationship with lenny and midge that is first and foremost based on mutual respect and admiration for each other. it's not just physical attraction even though there's clearly that too but it truly is a genuine friendship first. also i'm going to need luke kirby cast as a leading man in all of the things but specifically in some romance movies. the man has IT (talent, charm and most importantly the ability to look at their scene partner like he genuinely adores and thinks the world of them).

i love how they wrote this relationship. so natural, so not rushed, so not forced, so fucking organic and delicious. In the words of sterling k. brown; that shit was butter

This is perfect. I love their chemistry, and have been waiting for the climax-yes I went there from the very first episode. I just hope Season 5 they can continue even though we all know when he passes. You can see the frustration in Lenny as he leaves the stage.

It's very rare for me to find a ship to obsess over on the tv shows that are currently airing, specially because I love slow burns and there are hardly any well developed ships lately, but Midge and Lenny have become one of my favorite ships. Their evolution feels so natural, the friendship, the trust and the admiration they have for each other is maintained during all the interactions they have throughout the series. I love how in this edit you can see that evolution exactly as their interactions become more and more romantic and their banter gets stronger, specially since season 3. Keep doing this amazing edits because midge and lenny are so underrated and people need to notice them AND I NEED CONTENT SINCE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT 1 YEAR UNTIL WE SEE SEASON 5

I definitely have been rooting for them since season 1. I love Lenny. Knowing his real story, makes it all so much sadder. A real testament to Luke Kirby’s acting abilities. Being able to make you feel all of the love for his character, knowing full well what’s coming next.

The last episode was by far the best episode. I only just watched that last one on Friday and keep thinking about it. I am obsessed with just how well it was done and to see such love. It is a show, but gosh it has really tugged at my heart mostly because their relationship is so good and the portrayal of Lenny Bruce makes it even more compelling because it's based on a real person who died so young. I just hope that do not write that into next season, I will be a emotional wreak for days if they do. .My hope is they allow them to stay and be in love throughout the whole last season. 😍 That is my wish!!

i have a feeling that this romance wasn't necessarily intended from the beginning and honestly... im so happy about it. the writers developed such an interesting dynamic and friendship between midge and lenny throughout the first three seasons that when it finally came to a romance in the fourth it felt so fulfilling and natural. i am absolutely dying to see what happens in season 5!!

ASP knows how to write AMAZING slow cook romances. Lorelai and Luke? Perfection. Iconic. Midge and Lenny? Same. Each couple has its own identity while keeping the terrific chemistry and showing the many archetypes that love has.

Ughhh why does this show have to end?! It will feel like there’s something missing from my life after this final season 💔 and sure I’ve thought that for other shows in the past but this one especially just the waiting for the seasons were torturous I don’t want to be without it completely 🥲

I love how they don’t end up together because it’s perfect writing for right person. Wrong time. They’re perfect for each other they’re just things and their lives mindset that they’ve adjusted themselves to the prevents them from truly accepting the love from each other. They’re smart enough to see it. They’re smart enough to feel it but they’re just too scared to put one foot forward and try. It’s the perfect example of if you want to get married to somebody marriages work working on it every day all the time. Just because you love, somebody doesn’t mean you fit to marry them. I love this story I love these characters. The way they’re written they want to live happily ever after they just don’t have what it takes to work with it.

Oh god, I’ve watched and loved doing so with this couple. I am so excited (even though they hinted and some bad things happening), but I was so happy they got together and I actually didn’t know so many people wanted this too. :D
