Pioneer srt 1000 or serato should prepare an update so that the fx can be used in the pads as in the case of the ddj 1000 and other controllers in rekordbox, I have an srt but only that does not convince me so that so many expansions and fx if has a limitation in use ♂️
Thank you for the tip i just got this controller im a turntablist but I'm giving myself more room to DJ a lot of places don't have big work space for turntables.

@Jay Brannan, hey man great vid. Do you know if there's a way to set the brake speed for start/stop for the jog wheels? For example if you press stop I want it to kind of slow down a bit like a turntable instead of a instant stop. I can see it on settings but it's greyed out and wondered if its possible to allow this somehow? Anyway thx in advance.
I just bought a 1000srt and coming from an SX. How do I load the songs on it because there doesn’t seem to be load buttons for each deck like the SX series controllers.
Hi Jay. I spotted that your 4 beat loop button was flashing during the video. How did you make it flash? I’ve mapped mine to autoloop but I can’t figure out how to make it flash when a loop is active? Would be great if we could have the IN/OUT buttons flash when a loop is active also

Why when you hit the settings button on software there isn’t an cd or vinyl option to calibrate the jog wheels ? It’s showing in my settings but not under your settings!

Wow, a lot going on here- SZS is a silver SZ. SZ2 vs SZ1 you get post fader effects and built in flip. RZ is an SZ for rekordbox and the RZX is mainly for use with rekordbox video since it has video touch screens included with the unit. What kind of a DJ are you, types of gigs and such? Also what software do you use?
Meaning turn up the fader curve? Ill have to look into that because I don’t think you can. You can adjust the individual track volume in Serato as well as the master volume, but on the SRT it would be turning up the trim as it stands.
Hey Jay great video.. my big question.. can I get my auto loop to match my Serato screen? So if it’s set on 8 bar on Serato when I hit 8 bar on my SRT1000 auto loop that’s what happens instead of the standard 4 bar .. please help !
What I did was remap the 4 Beat Loop button to the Autoloop button in Serato and the In/Out buttons to 1/2x and 2x beat loop. Shift+In/Out for regular In/Out functionality. Make sure you have the loop controls open in Serato in order to midi map them.
Good video This method definitely works, but you lose the original functions of the buttons/knobs. Ideally you could assign multiple functions to each control, and select the one that actually runs using internal variables. Those variables would be setted using additional shift buttons. Both Traktor and VDJ support this, Serato and Rekordbox doesn't. This is the #1 reason I use Traktor
i'd get a DDJ-SP1 just for Serato FX and map FLIP on it, just to keep the 1000SRT stock as much as possible. Besides, that controller & sub-controller tandem would look...NICE.
