Nice work Nate, for us 40 somethings after a good life of extreme sports and extreme life its refreshing to hear how you've found balance. I will definitely research some of the breathing techniques you talked about. At this stage of life, breathing and flexibility and clearing your mine of all the garbage is true peace.
I pick Christian up hitch hiking on the North Shore in 1988 ..... He gave me a bag of mushrooms.... Super nice guy. Surfed with him at Pipe and Rockies with Brock R.I.P. that winter several time. Two of my all time favorites. Doing airs over people at Tresles before the rest of the world could even land at all.

fuckin one day up on NS super rainy shit day was surfing upside and i kick out a wave and and look to only guy paddling out and said yo these waves so fun!!!!! and mans smiled and just kept paddling out. seen a few waves go by and that man was christian!!!! hahaha was such a trip cuz never fully realize at first and i think christian was thankful just was crusing having a good time. maybe four waves go by and some uncle and a body boarder start to trip that he’s out there surfing and christian immediately dig out and went in. the smile on christian face when i was kicking out basically naturally just saying what’s up was a very real moment. christian is ever seeing this just wanna say aloha and thank you for being you!!!!
Christian was all time way ahead of his time and never was given the props for being the chief of progression at a time were style was everything and since noone was able to stand next to him that's why they dissed him.
Nathan's the boy. But he's much better at busting huge airs than explaining his views on spirituality 😁 (but I get his points and agree with most of them 👍🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔)
