I needed to make up 3 unique shoulder bolts for an urgent request. They were needed early the next morning, and they couldn't be sourced quickly. The lathe to the rescue! I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Friday evening.
You like to screw around in the shop as well? Lol. I enjoy making them as well. It's always great when you can save something from the dump, or fix something, with shop made parts because you can't find the parts, or you have to order 1000 when you only need 3, pay and wait for shipping, and find out the hardware wasn't really made of steel, it was made out of cheese strings.
Ok I would like to go over what makes this a great bolt to us and we have to assume that you had the clearance for this or I do not think you would not have done it. We love when the bolt head can be taller like you made these three bolts unless clearance is an issue they look nicer are easier to use for us and though they are not any stronger they make the bolts when mounted look better. Are we getting bluing? If not ok just asking about it since I am just chemical bluing today around here.
