Remember watching this at the time and being completely blown away how tight they were. They did this and 'My Country' which was also amazing. Great band who I got to see live in Australia in the 80's when I was visiting Oz. Oils fan from UK.
Been searching for this song! I saw them on SNL when I was a kid. The lead singer freaked me out, but I couldn't stop listening or looking at his performance. Great song man!
One of the best bands of all time...and as a 6'5" guy myself, from 3:42 onwards is a mirror image of how I got kicked off the dance floor of my high school grad party😂
You would have to feel truly sorry for whichever performers were booked to share that show with the Oils. Power and passion at the top of their game. What a band.
One of the great unsung bands from Australia in action. One of their best tracks ever...lyrically this song is superb. Hits the spot with everything going on in our world at the minute. The monarchy, the farmers...apt isn't it?.
Agreed. This is intense and Garrett's charisma, passion and electrified vocals and dancing make the performance all the more special to watch and let soak in. The message behind the song is very powerful much in the same way Biko or San Jacinto by Peter Gabriel strike a chord in the listener.
The most stellar Oils’ performance ever imo! The Oils made catchy songs like this that only Australians could understand pre-Google. The first MI song I heard was “Kosciusko" which is Australia largest mountain I just found out.
