Same. I'm so glad I got this instead of Callisto Protocol. I'm still trying to figure out who my main team will be and I can't decide if I want my Hunter dark or light.
I definitely love Captain Marvel. The amount of damage she does with Binary is insane. She will be one of my core heroes in my first playthrough with max friendship.
This game has gotten me back into daily gaming for the first time in a long time. Just got wolverine and that in itself was a game changer, I can't wait for dlc or a sequel bc they locked it out of the park on 1st try and I'm sure they will only improve upon this in the future.
Your vids on this game have been very nice because after Gotham Knights was kind of disappointing I was nervous about midnight suns but after watching and hearing your thoughts I've been able to make up my mind alot better
From what I've seen, it certainly has issues, but overall a fun experience. Currently downloading, and I'll update this comment on it once I've played for a bit.
@@83DragonWolf so far, I am entertained. Bit of a simplistic story, and cheesy lines and whatnot, but I'm not really here for that. The gameplay certainly is fun. Reminds me of Fate Grand Order, where your victory can easily be decided by what card you draw next.
Thought Blade was ass nearing the end of act II which sucked because I wanted him to be my main guy - turns out he melts bosses if you go full bleed build. Also I’m finding Iron Man to be my favorite, he’s got sustain, super satisfying abilities, good variety of damage and skills, and has AOE/damage-all-enemies with his epic/legendary cards
I'm not surprised by the general consensus of this game, Firaxis is amazing at making strategy games but awful at characterization. Even having the license to use some of the most famous comic characters can't change that.
Main strategy: Rush the story until you get *Hulk* , then enjoy the game on your New game+ :D Ghost Rider gameplay is the worst ! He kills himself... Great idea !
Sounds like you dont know how to use him properly. He has some of the highest damage dealing attacks in the game not to mention he has attacks that restore health and his passive ability restores health too? Couple him with someone like Nico and he’s unstoppable
@@kierantaylor8588 I don't have enough spot on the team for Ghost Rider + Nico I like neither of them. He's not the real Ghost Rider, he's supposed to be a biker. And for Nico, I didn't watch the Runaways, so I have no idea who the f# she is.
The game is great, the only problem is small fight arena, thus they limited your squad into 3 characters only. I hope with expansion can get the continuation of the story and 6-characters squad.
I'm wondering if a group like Ghost Rider, Scarlet witch and Wolverine would do great because of their AoE and make them good or if it wouldn't work. I just got the game and do not have scarlet witch yet to see for myself.
It is indeed one of the downside of the game IMO. Since all story mission require the hunter you are literally choosing only 2 other characters. This make synergy feel like non existent in some cases. I would have myself preferred the game to be built around a 4 heroes team which would have increased synergy a lot I think. That being said, after playing for a while... With only 3 heroes on the team it does happen that a single hero is just standing there doing nothing for a whole turn because no cards have been drawn for him. So it make me wonder if a 4th hero of the team would really have been viable.
Enjoying the game I'm only kid game and so still don't have access to a lot it would be nice if you also had some mid game ideas for teams/cards for useful info too
Captain America's synergy in the game is way too good to not overlook. So is Spiderman's lack of reliance on resources I'd probably slot in a powerhouse like Ghost Rider or Captain Marvel to do a lot of damage, but a support like Doctor Strange or Scarlet Witch would make for an extremely versatile squad. Unless there's synergy bonuses, or special combo attacks, I can't see myself experimenting with wholly different team compositions. You'd expect someone like Magik to use portals for repositioning enemies, or Blade to inflict unique statuses other than bleed.
Their main failure is you get a hero character and it is a lame sword fighter. No imagination and this game looks like it was made for mobile microtransactions with new heroes for lots of $$$, but you also get to pay full price before the DLCs as well.
