Oh before I forget, huge tip for those who aren't high level enough to get combat therapy, when I praised Ebony the cat while Blade was injured it said ALL my injured heroes were healed. Idk if it's a chance thing or a guaranteed thing, but it's worth keeping in mind.

Also also, if you like me have been getting crashes when manual saving by overwriting a save, just create a new save and delete the old one if you're trying to save space. Seems obvious, but I didn't know at first what the problem was.

If you're struggling in the early game, I strongly suggest bringing Captain Marvel; she has good damage, crowd control, and tanking ability all right out of the box. She won't top out as high as a few other characters as the game goes on, but her abilities make her a very well rounded and straightforward fighter.

It's like Fire Emblem + Slay the Spire + Xcom neatly wrapped in Marvel wrapping paper, it's great. It's worth noting that the Hero Sparring buffs don't get consumed when you send them on Hero Ops.

Another tip for beginners, eventually you will run into a black cat at the Abbey named Ebony, now I don't know when she starts appearing but I was around level 3 when she did, but everyday you can find her all around the Abbey, even in the forest, and praise her for 25 arcane knowledge.

Yeah, I am playing on Normal too and it is pretty challenging. i am just doing General Missions now to level up my heroes for abilities and friendship levels

Last night I was KO'd doing a general mission to stop a truck in Normal difficulty... it was VERY annoying. Second attempt was successful, but with so many difficulty settings, you'd think that Normal would be a breeze. I bumped it down to STORY... I tend to give up on games that aggravate me... and this game is getting there. Between the crashes (on PS5) and learning the hard way it doesn't auto save upon exit to main menu and losing progression, the game is getting seriously on my nerves.

There’s absolutely no monetizing outside of costumes. This is NOT a Pay-To-Win game. I’ll admit, the cutscenes are super rough but the core gameplay and really fun uses of the Marvel properties is a great mix for a tactical RPG. I was wondering if they’ll add a Permadeath feature on a later update? Solid game so far though, don’t knock it till you try it

A useful tip that i had a couple times saved me was ALWAYS!!! save before u start the mission if ur having trouble just reload the save and pick different characters that will help with that mission

@@Gotham_Outlaw You do get ONE Charlie card even with the Dark side... but you won't get the second card unless you reach 200 Light. However, after reaching level Light 200, you can still only have Charlie out for three turns- then you also have FOUR heroes cards randomized, not just three. So really, I see 'Summon Charlie' as a hindrance, not a help. Annihilation is a MUCH better option IMO.

I just finished the main story after giving up awhile back and I honestly throughly enjoyed it since there was so much. I also liked that they treated you anyway with the Midnight Sun suits at the end, unless they take them away after awhile.

Having captain marvel makes those missions a lot easier as you can have her taunt those targeting the boxes. It's also good to know that when an enemy is going to use a super ability they'll have a sword indicator on the emblem that shows who they're targeting, and all debuffs are applied after regular nooks attack.

Another tip, SAVE before you exit to main menu! I learned the hard way that it does not do an auto save (like most games) when you exit to main menu. I had to spend 15 minutes upon going back into the game redoing exploration because it didn't save upon exit. I've had it crash upon trying to go back in using "Continue Activity" on PS5 and also had it crash upon completion of a mission! It's getting very annoying. Also NORMAL difficulty is not 'easy'... and you'd think with so many difficulties that Normal would be super easy... it's NOT... at all.

Most important Tips: Read the card effects, don’t just look at the damage. Using move and environment effectively every turn. Marking targets and using the quick effect cards is super important. You can sometimes complete a mission in a single turn.

yeah, you can oftewn wipe out a full round with enviro's. I am not sure what the deal is with what lets you use them though. Is it just that you have to do something first? I can never set them off as the first thing, but after I've played 1 card, then I can start using them. I thought at first it was how close you are to them, and or which character. Thing is it will switch characters if you have one that will go off... and sometimes it'll even preview the attack, even if you can't make it. So I am now thinking that you just can't use them until you properly begin your turn (so play a card) is this how it works, do you know please?

@@D00M3R_MAVS it cost hero points to do an environmental attack. Depending on what it is it’ll either be 1 or 2. Spider-man has effects where they can be free. If you preview moving your character it will show you all the environmental attack directions depending on where your character is.

@@masterwesty Thanks dude. I worked this out though as I had a card that lowers the cost of enviro attacks. So with this, I realised that it cost the hero meter. BTW, if an attack have +1 or +2 on it, does that mean it gives you heroic? so some attacks will build it up? I guess this will be big part in team building, you will typically want to pair characters that need this meter, with characters that can generate it. I was having loads of fun playing as Doc Strange, Nico and Magik last night. Nico nearly died, magik almost as well, but we won (and did the side quest as well) I then got the Emo Quest after. Makes me think that maybe you have to do a quest with all 3 to unlock this questline?

You don't even need her to, the chests are pretty obvious... they glow. I always look for chests at night, and when they are found, they're permanently on your map. Keep in mind, you will eventually run out of good stuff from the chests and start to only receive resources. I spent several days just doing side missions and ended up exhausting everything from the chests and started only getting resources. After playing MSQ further, more costumes opened up and thus more colorways to receive from chests. Just an FYI.

I mean most of this Stuff is pretty common in games like this and even in this game most of this stuff is explained pretty early on (at least to some extend) and the rest will most liekly be discovered by most players anyway. But i do get the point that not everybody does and some need videos like this and i highly appreciate your effort for those. You guys always do a pretty good job at covering the games better than most gaming news sites are doing nowadays. And you are not shifting any personal opinions into the general information or try to tailor the content based around it. Instead you stay neutral for the information and only add certain personal views here and there, but never to manipulate someones view on things, you always leave the players with the choice to decide for themselves and i really like this trait of you guys. The other Video you did previously about it prior to its release even made me buy this game in the end, i wasn't sure whether i'd like it or not and even might have missed its release honestly if i hadn't seen your video covering the basics of it and showed some nice gameplay which had me reconsider buying it.

I played this game cuz I enjoy XCOM type strategy games and one that included marvel characters is an interesting choice for a fun combo, if you don't like RPG's, or battle tactics games, or marvel hero properties this game ain't for you. The combat is where the game shines, the dialogue is a little clunky and the graphics aren't amazing, however the studio did some interesting things with the project and I am enjoying this way more than I would have marvel's avengers project because this game actually has spirit and fun

I am on story mode, ABOUT LEVEL 18. BUT my cards almost NEVER GET re-funded for ko's. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. I also almost never get to upgrade my cards. WHAT AM I NOT DOING RIGHT? MY Friendship LEVELS ARE GOOD, I MOD MY CARDS MORE THAN I UPGRADE THEM. BUT I have no idea what mods do. the game really does not explain this stuff at all. can u help, or TELL ME where all this gets explained

Sow why are they putting the rest of the super heros behind a session ass at battle ass. For 44$. Can someone please tell me.

Hard pass on the avoid injuries section. the injuries dont take effect until a battle after the one where you got them in. heroes that are injured can use the combat therapy session and not only get fully healed but gain pretty powerfull buffs. so what downside is there to injuries really? you loose a hero for 1 day cuz he/she is in therapy but after that the hero comes back buffed . there are plenty of heroes to keep going on missions ( this will only be more true as more dlc characters release) and using the combat therapy feature is completely free.

Ok, update on my comment. It isn't THAT complicated. But there is a fair amount to keep track of, but the game eases you into it. Instead of sitting in the geoscape advancing time for 30 seconds, you can instead talk to another hero for that 30 seconds to boost your friendship score (so lame, making friends is a thing lol ) or find some journal pages etc. Instead of a Research Menu you have a Forge that you have to run to, then open your research menu. So, it isn't quite that time consuming. Instead of a menu based UI, we have a full 3D house and grounds to run around in , basically.

The graphics especially the raining and faces are horrible for a next gen title. There is a horrible game crashing bug in hero ops on console.

Which was fixed in last update. No game release is perfect, I wonder when people will figure that out. I never expect initial releases to be bug free, and typically don't play a game until it's been out a LEAST a month to account for initial bugs being fixed.
