Listening to this episode with my eyes closed, lying on my bed, in the dark was an amazing experience

“Wow this show can’t get much more horrifying than when Weepe killed Concord” Narrator: It did. It very much did.

I love Saskia's humming and how it got modified. Gave a very beautiful yet eerie tone to the last bit of the episode.

I can't even really describe how I'm feeling after this. It was...beautful? Horrifying? Haunting? Delightfully unhinged? I don't think even those words quite cut it.

Fold hounds immune to tearrors? Whew. OK. Landlord is fine. They weren't lying.

I could have listened to them describe Fold effects for another 5 hours

I swear she just became a siren. I'm excited to see what happens to her.

Such a horrible image of the Postmaster. Just downright terrifying in a room of already terrified individuals. May he rest in pieces and in post.

Shoot out to the narrators for this episode. They do a great job but this one felt incredible. I want to narrate my Lovecraftian horrors the same way

I've been wondering how you would narrate the terror... Wow, just wow.

This is the best episode so far, I so craved to know what the actual effects of the fold would be, and this is the washed out version of it?!?! This is one of the best stories in any media I've ever experienced, thank you Third Person.

Once the terror hit, my jaw dropped and I literally couldn't close my mouth until the episode ended. WOW

2 weeks ago i had never heard a single episode of midst now i sit here listening to this one on repeat

Never has a podcast ever painted such clear pictures in my mind like Midst has. Well done, bravo, and I am starving for more

The sound design in this is just breathtaking, especially when Saskia’s gorgeous, haunting hum mixed in with the background … This whole episode is mesmerizing and horrifying and beautiful

Well. Came into this expecting a sudden thing, maybe half the townsfold die and it's about getting back up and trying to heal and repair and whatnot. Was not prepared for eldritch horror acidtrip for 20 minutes. I think I'll go lie down now.

I love the way that Midst can still reveal new information based on already established things. A bit question I had was if Terrors were always individual or if a single terror had an established effect, The way that these "pockets" work is a good solution.

People are high key sleeping on this series. It is absolutely incredible

So the show has had dark moments for sure, but they are doing some existential dread now and I'm here for it.

I feel both tense to see what the ultimate outcomes will be, and somehow a relief that the Tearror finally hit. This is some good storytelling. Relieving one tension, replacing it with another. Kind of addictive.

Jesus christ. That was intense. You guys improvised the postmaster shattering??? What a moment!!!! Got freaking goosebumps at Saskias singing and the garbled message this one was killer!!!

The truth about the fold is that it is just liquid Jazz.

I applaud you three. It is not every storyteller who has the moxie to describe the indescribable. I am saddened and horrified at the fate of the Postmaster, Mr. Potts, and Maurice (who?), concerned for Giselle, Fiona and Jacob, and Emmett, and a little bit happy for the (former) twins, and Patricia. I'm mostly relieved that the Foldhounds are immune to tearror (maybe their presence protects Saskia a little?) and hope that Lark, Tzila and even Phineas are off the cable before whatever happened to it... happens to them. I really wonder how people still alive after all this can/will recover and re-enter society, but of course that's always the question after a (natural, though presumably caused by artificial means) disaster that affects so many. But what will the survivors do? Will anyone (dare to) come for them? Won't they just be sitting in a lake of tearror once the wave has passed and the "seas" calm? Looking forward to finding out... everything 😄.

Man this series has gotten so interesting. This episode was eerie as sh*t! And mixing the funny descriptions between the more out there or disturbing made it so mesmerizing. The background humming for Saskia to was haunting. I'm curious who she found when reaching out into the darkness. Herself maybe? Mirror image doppelganger? Can't wait for the next episode!

The echoing feeling of hollow "rejectedness" was so well played out when the teletheric broadcast stated that the valorous trustees were evacuated. Herbs from an unknown provence season the soul-meal of an hysterically imminent tearor. This episode was so well prepared, my brain is lounging with my imagination, viewing the scope of reality you all created so vibrantly.

This was wondrous and horrifying, and just incredible. The words, the voices, the soundscape, the art, everything was just so so good.

So listening to this in the car on my way home from work was... interesting. Definitely made the 5 o'clock traffic feel different

I have a storm cellar since I live in tornado alley. I'm always afraid a tree or vehicle will land on the door and trap me in. I have seen multiple tornados and even been stuck between 2 massive ones. Destruction on all sides with no escape. This brought back all those feelings. I had to stop the video. That's how good they did. Shivers.

25 minutes gone in a blink. This episode felt as timeless as being trapped in the terror. If I had any to spare, you would have my money.

Honestly I'm hoping the post master will be fine, like his ability to float is gone but now he just has these glass like cracks all over his skin and is like "see, that wasn't so bad. Get up, ya goobs."

“My teeth, my ears, my hair, my taste in music…it’s bad” okay I had to pause it because I started cackling at that so much. All this constant stuff going on & the one thing that gets me is my taste in music as bad now. Lmao these episodes Just keeps getting better and better.

The Narrators- *Describes some of the most horrifying and descriptive imagery for how the Tearror unfolds in people's minds* Also, the Narrators- "All of this? This is the weak shit." I don't know if I should be amazed as how well you described what happened or if I should be worried about what the full extent of the Tearror on the surface would have on these people.

Hands down possibly one of the greatest artistic form I've ever listened to. The description of pure chaos is just absolutely beautiful, creepy, daunting, horrifying, and many other adjectives that I'm not even familiar with

I have adored every single episode of Midst thus far, and this one still somehow took the cake. Holy cow, Third Person. This is a masterpiece

Was the fold speaking to us???? What I could make out from the altered Teletheric (Some is from captions, others I think I heard beneath the narration" "skies occluded with the substrate aberrant / universe / mat which is the tale of sings..." "Bursting" "sights" "Particularly with you sweet listener, going / going u-uch " "tread dark trenches where the light cannot glow or go / Arca / Balustrade / Caenum" (These last three words repeat and overlap a dozen or so times after the initial clear speaking) HOLY SHIT. I love this so much. Every episode is totally new and unique, and the Tearrors were NOT what I was expecting. I had assumed more of a monster side of things, but this is like being immersed into Welcome to Nightvale, Control, or The Magnus Archives to the deepest extent. Pure, unadulterated chaos, true randomness of the universe as things shift and alter and randomize and *change and twist* those caught within it. Brilliant storytelling that I am so eager to drink in every week. I have just one question now: If this is what a Cataclysmic Tearror does to people, and we can assume that some will live through it... then what the FUCK does Moc Weepe have in his blood?? That stuff immediately melted Atticus Concord in moments. Does he literally has Tearrors in his skin? What the hell. (That Teletheric being altered to say some cryptic stuff is also very awesome, I love that sort of thing)

I dont want to understate how amazing the visuals of this episode were, but the post master floating into the terror and shattering was one of the funniest things that could have happened there

This HAS to hold the record for the most character development in a single episode.

Ok, ok, ok.... The story was, is superb. The narration? On point. But the music? The silences? The sounds?! Perfection! What a journey!

This is my absolute favorite episode so far and I don't see it being dethroned any time soon (though this podcast is incredible so it could happen with the very next episode, who knows lol). This was like a surreal rollercoaster ride. What a phenomenal experience. Thank you to everyone working on this!

this episode made me gasp out loud, shiver, and literally hold my seat as if i was there with them, in the basement. i felt scared, angry, and i cant wait for what comes next, it was amazing. the arrival of the terror really leaved me breathless

I love how we're slowly learning more and more about the lore of this world. Good to finally know why everyone's so afraid of the Fold. Curious to see more of it.

This is definitely an episode I will have to listen to more than once. This one was incredibly trippy. I always love the depth of sound design in this production. I've been recommending the show to many people

If anyone could make this an animated series good It could probably be almost as good as vox machina. But I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is some of the best storytelling I've ever experienced.

That tearor background with the eyes and mouths was seriously, appropriately disturbing. And then "My taste in music -it's bad!" Mwua! Perfectly timed bit of levity.

This episode is absolutely amazing. I’m absolutely blown away.

It’s odd how having been to Meow Wolf here in Denver, this all makes sense to me in my theater of the mind. There’s weird shit there, so this is easier to comprehend.

The Fold is the Pale from Disco Elysium, but on crack? I love it.

Darkly hilarious that Emmet can't recognize that he doesn't remember his mother anymore, but the guy suddenly inflicted with bad taste in music immediately knows 😅

Only regret is that I didn't close my eyes once the fold descriptions started.
