I remember rides like that. Dude who worked there kept saying "next" and I kept telling him, that I can't follow a 6 year old with only a 10 second head start. Whelp, so I waited around the first turn for a minute and the guy got angry. But I wasn't the only one who preferred not to kill children or go down the hill slower than walking pace.

For those interested, this is what the guy with the camera wrote when this was first uploaded: Me crashing on an alpine coaster in Austria. Went to Insbruck hospital after as I did my back in. Things you missed in the video. 1) Your not allowed to stop on the slope for any reason 2) The father thought it was a good idea to stop on the slope 4 times 3) I had a massive queue of people behind me because of the plebs in front. 4) I had waited a year to do this slope, gave them plenty of time to get some distance, they where clearly waiting to annoy me. 5) It was a rage quit where the only way was down !! He was clearly using his kids as bate, they where collateral in his little games. On the way to the start we all shared the same gondola, I explained to him I had been waiting almost a year to do the slope. You can see him laughing as he gets the kid out of the coaster at the end.

When the first sled go down the hill they vanish out of sight. And when they vanish they put the brakes on to almost to a stop. So when he comes down the hill to see the people infront has stoped it is to late to be able to avoid a crash. Reading other comments, he said some bad things. I had the audio realy low and didnt pay atention to the sound so i didnt catch he said something. He could had been more foresighted about hiden curves and slopes, to slow down because you don't know if the rail is free from obstacles or not.

Actually, the only reason she slowed down was because of the person in front of her. Every time he catches up, you can see the other person in front of her had stopped, forcing her to stop as well. So the blame in reality doesn't go to her at all. And since he openly said he would ram her before doing so, he legally under Austrian Law could be charged with assault.

At the beginning I thought it was an adult he hit into. It is pretty bad she slumped over about 4 seconds after the crash might of blacked out for about 30 seconds. The shock probably went through her body to her brain. Thats why the guy in front of her thought nothing was wrong because she just didn't answer. There were lots of braking signs on the track. (At least 4 in the section of the impact... The ones with the exclamation mark "bremsen - frenare") You're not supposed to do a full stop but you're not supposed to rush down the track without braking either. Alpine Coasters are family rides aswell. So everyone should be respectful to others, especially children. So if you are a speed-freak not willing to brake for families and children, this one isn't for you.

True statement! That was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I couldn't help but laugh when he went belligerent intimidating her with his crazy screams, then I was appalled when he slammed into her. That's some messed up shit. When she was limped over shortly after impact I thought he snapped her neck. He was lucky that she was a kid at could take a hit and will hopefully at least heal physically, and most lucky he didn't get hauled off for assault with a deadly weapon, because any well adjusted adult would have stood up to the psychopath when dismounting if not immediately after the impact. It was actually comforting to see that he had some remorse after he saw her passed out in front of him, he probably thought he killed her. Too add some unverified context to this "The man filming had saved up for this experience but then got into an argument with another man just before getting onto the ride. That other man got on first, along with his daughter, then thought it would be great sport to passive-aggressively fuck with the man filming by braking at random intervals. Doing so not only put his daughter at risk (as seen in the video) but really put them all at risk, because someone unrelated to this spat could smash into all of them at any time. It was bad decision-making on everyone's part. I just feel bad for that poor girl.

Devil's advocate; this guy isn't entirely blameless. This is a ride where you're meant to go fast and not hit the brakes. You can see at 1:13, 2:43, 3:37, 4:40 - and the big hit at 5:00 - The dad in front is braking for god knows what reason (taking in the sights?), and this guy has to quickly hit the brakes to stop an accident. At 3:10, he actually gets hit _himself_ which is where anyone would really start to get pissed off I'd imagine. The big hit at 5:05 has _another_ sudden stop, and this time he can't brake in time at all. The people braking up front are putting everyone behind them at risk of a huge accident. Just imagine how infuriating it would be to have someone brake-check you on the motorway, except you don't have the benefit of a car full of safety devices that ensure only your car would get busted up in case of a hit. The only innocent is the poor girl who's stuck in-between the people dawdling in front and this guy behind.
