I worked for a large electronics retailer in Australia, and when our "section" needed cleaning, I always pinched the display upright Miele for the job. When I left, I bought one at cost price (perks...) the top of the line in Oz, the metallic red fully electronic one with the led headlight. And what a beast.... Heavy, yes, but what a vacuum! We also have a Miele barrel, one of the last 2200w ones, and my lightly built partner still prefers to use the upright on our expensive wool carpets.
This vacuum is one of my mainstays. It's one of my all-time favorites. I'm glad I got an electronic TOL model before Miele discontinued it in the US. Thanks for this vid!
Hi Roger. I bought the U1 last year and love it. Solid and well built. I call it the Porsche of vacuums ! Really enjoy using this cleaner. Does a great job on all my carpets. Looks great in white too ! Greetings from the U.S.!
I love this machine ! I have the the dynamic U1 eco plus black color it’s the best and so smooth to use :) it looks the same and controls are the same just in shiny black color in USA 🇺🇸 thanks for your vids I love to watch you always demonstrating vacuums :)
Seems they've killed the whole line now. I got the one with the Lights a few years back in Silver. It's not a bad hoover, definitely better than any of the Dysons I've had., well, after a few years that is. Dyson really do suck after a few years. As for Sebo, I had one of those and it failed within a few months. Shame, I liked the fact it went right under all our furniture without any problem, but motor problem almost straight away, not good sign. As for my S7000, it seems to be showing symptoms around the pivot area when standing upright. Starting to become a little loose. Anything I should be aware off?
Sebo come out top for reliability in upright cleaners so I am surprised you had a problem and they offer a 5 year guarantee whereas Miele only give you 2 on their vacuum cleaners. It sounds like the release mechanism on your Miele is starting to wear and you may find in time that the cleaner won’t stand upright any more. There were problems with the retractable wheels on these cleaners and they are quite hard to fix according to people in the trade.
Hi Roger , I found that you can get the led head light assembly and put it on the one without the head lights. I have the blue one with out the head light but am installing the head lights tonight. Thanks for the video.
Yes we did get a top range "cat & dog" version with the electronic read out when I got mine. It was white. But much more expensive and I'd never have used the attachment that came with it. Hate mine being yellow, but poor me. ;-)
Bruce Solomon I’ve had a bottom of the line kenmore canister for 7 years and that thing made me hate and love canisters, I have about 2000 square feet of carpet in my house and big wide rooms and that kenmore was so difficult it seemed every other time I tried to move it over it didn’t and I about tripped over it several times. And a trying to use a filter Queen as a daily driver will make you hate a canister And I have an Electrolux (eureka) ultra active for a few years and I like how it moves but it’s a piece of junk the neck broke, so any way I think a Miele canister will make me fall back in love
D Miele Vacuums don’t cheap out and make sure you get the full sized powerhead with your canister! You won’t regret it! Also, whilst Bruce makes a good point, there is no corner be at carpet or floor that a Miele canister can’t handle! The parquet floor brush is unbelievable! Edge work supreme!
keith Gillard yes i will have the electro plus head the big one without the headlight I may upgrade at a later date to the top of the line head with head light but I’m trying to get the canister for 480 on sale but trust me I love the c3 brilliant but right now I really don’t want to pay over 600
Fascinating since here in the US we don't have that model with the electronic display! I have the yellow U1 with the headlamp. $550 a couple years ago, now red and $650. 1200w. Too heavy but superb otherwise.
I think you did get a version with that display, but it’s not in the current line up. At least you can still get Miele uprights there because they have been discontinued in the UK and Europe.
Hello my dear ibsiac....did you know other channels are taking your content to make videos?!?!? I don't know how you go about reporting that but I wanted to let you know. 😢😢😢
@@steeltag yup! Took it all apart and found the clog. Ended up selling it for a the same price I bought it for. I have a dyson v10 absolute now. Certainly prefer the lightness of the dyson.
One of the worst Miele products ever. Not surprised they don't make the uprights. Ths swivel neck was their Achilles heel. To clarify I have numerous Miele appliances an am a huge fan.
