This polish Mig29 smokes the guts out of it`s engines. Also does a nice Display with a lot of afterburner. Filmed at the 2016 Airpower airshow in Zeltweg, Austria.
I'm shocked. Without a doubt, at the helm was one of the best pilots in the world. The number of aerobatics performed on full afterburner, a short time between the figures, critical overloads ... He squeezed everything out of the fighter. Bravo to the Polish pilot! I want to see his photo.
Ansonsten top Arbeit.
When the MIG-29 was developed, there were no engines for it. Therefore, the designers took the engine from the SU-27, shortened it and put it on the MIG-29.

When the engine is running at the limit, it happens that the only way to cool it is to add fuel that will not burn, but will take away some of the heat during evaporation...For a country that has not fought, does not know how to fight, and does not plan to do it - soot, the smell of kerosene, and fuel overspending is a problem....For the pilot, on which the launch can be made, it is important that the engine does not die on the afterburner, and what it stinks, at the same time, is the tenth thing.
Its not smoking from being pushed hard, its smoking when the pilot is advancing the throttles and the engine N1 & N2 are having to spool up, lagging behind the fuel control. The compressor isn't supplying enough air to burn all the introduced fuel. Most older engines smoke when advancing the throttles. The MiG 29's engines are not as advanced as western designs of the same age, thus, still smokey and more inefficient. You don't dump extra fuel into a turbine engine to cool it, they don't work like piston engines. The smoke is combustion inefficiency which is just the engine being behind the curve of development. That said, it looks 😎
