@cityhomestead40 Thanks for posting your vid about the lincoln wed pak 100, because i was considering buying another welder before seeing your post. I figure if i put my welder in the shop, it may cost me as much to diagnose and fix it, rather than buy another welder online or at Harborfreight. I will try your solution first though, and i will let you know how it goes.

​@cityhomestead40 Hi. I tried to adjust wire speed control today, by turning the voltage control knob. It helped somewhat to get wire speed working through all voltage settings, but wire speed motor will only turn at level 3 and up with wire speed knob. Anything below level 3, the wire speed motor stops. Either there is a problem with my wire speed motor or the wire speed potentiometer is bad. The potentiometer is the wire speed rotary switch that tells the wire speed motor how fast or slow to go, as you turn the wire speed knob. Was looking through my instructions, and my Lincoln Weld Pak 100 is over 17 years old! So, parts may be hard to find. I may call Lincoln Electric tomorrow to see if i can find parts for my welder. With the right parts my welder may work again. I want to fix this welder, because it could run on both a 15 amp or 20 amp circuit. It is rare welder. Lincoln Electric makes good welders.

@b.lowery2984 yes I loved mine. And yes it sounds like a switch problem, glad mine was simple I priced new motor out and it was well over 100 so... I bought a Hobart 210mvp and I love it thanks for commenting and watching my friend

Yeah sounds like that may be the problem good luck let me know if cleaning it fixed.

cause I didn't know what else to do I was tripping out that my welder was broken I literally tried everything else!

Can you hear the feed motor trying to kick in?

I have a nearly new machine that makes the clicking noise when pressing trigger but wont feed. Turn it off and back on sometimes it works fine. Sometime i habe to turn off and on multiple times and itll work. Other times it never works.

Yeah when this happened to me I had no idea what was wrong.
