I will never forget that I used to had this Movie on VHS when I was a child, DVD year's later on as well ☺️, and I Just ordered my Blu-ray copy from Amazon ☺️
R.I.P Jason David Frank ❤️ Today, 20th Nov 2022, we lost a great childhood hero for many across the world! You will be truly missed JDF 💔 May you and Thuy both rest in peice x
They forgot to mention that the Power Rangers only use their martial arts for defense and never to attack people. Furthermore, that is the idea behind martial arts and it teaches kids discipline and perseverance. As one of those little kids watching them back then in the 90s, that was my biggest take away from enjoying that show! 🙏🏼💪🏼💚
lol I loved how the show always preached that - and yet they end up using martial arts and violence to solve literally every incident in every single episode. Not saying that isn't consistent with the 'defense' mantra because they never initiated the violence... but there's like 30 years worth of power rangers eps at this point and I can't think of one ep where they didn't use violence to solve the problem.
Me and my dad went to this when I was a kid I got to meet Amy Jo Johnson she was so nice to me and I got to see her in the movie suit up close, it looked so cool. I'll never forget it, thanks for the upload!!
@@blacklodgetoys Yeah my dad is the best, it was a really hot day in Hollywood, I remember that as well. The rangers were running around everywhere giving autographs in the heat being so professional and nice to the kids. I miss the 90's so much.
Sooo many memories that summer. I saw Power Rangers and Batman Forever the same week. I saw Virtuosity which was my introduction to both Denzel and Russell Crowe. I saw Under Siege 2 and I saw Judge Dredd. I saw Mortal Kombat which was frickin' awesome by the way! I even got the soundtrack for that! 95 was the greatest summer of all time. If I had died that summer there would've been 'no' regrets!
daaamn, the nostalgia... what a freaking craze this was and i was right there pre teen aged during it all. and I just found out about JDF right now god damn bro, i love him and appreciate everything he did but that's got to knock the message they're giving under a few paper weights you know... holy crap...
@@TheStepmonkey the promotion of social activity, health, fitness, positivity, and in general everything opposite of suicide lol.. Like all the years of making a name in that field and then the guy kills himself its just crazy idk sorry if i dont make sense
I watched this movie so many times as a kid, thought the CGI at the end was great haha. Doesn't hold up but the memories are great. And I still love the suits
Just wow wow wow...there really wasnt anything..like the 90s..the 90s really was..a special era...the power rangers was such a big deal..i truly miss these days. Rip jdf. 😭😭😭😭💔❤️❤️❤️🙌🙏
In terms of casting, there’s something really magical about the casting of the original Season 1 - 3 power rangers. It’s super hard if not almost impossible to recreate that type of chemistry. I feel like the later seasons of Powers doesn’t really hit that level of chemistry.
They were still figuring out the Power Rangers formula. They spent a lot of time on casting the pilot and first season. My guess is more than later seasons.
I don't care what no body say.but power rangers will always be my all time favorite childhood.my favorite PR. is lost galaxy.light speed rescue.wild force time force.in space.zeo.dino thunder.mystic force.i ❤ power rangers.im 27 yrs old.
I remember going to see this movie in a theater when it came out. Power Rangers were huge back in the day, but somehow, I believe the show started losing some of its' "muscle" when Austin St. John (original red ranger), Thuy Trang (original yellow ranger) and Walter E. Jones (original black ranger) left the show. From what I saw in a recent video, it seems like the cast were criminally underpaid, and those 3 were the ones that did not accept that and eventually left. Nothing beats the original cast. David Yost ("Billy") was my favorite, and I am so sorry he was severely harassed by the crew (not the cast, to clarify) during his tenure as a ranger. Also, RIP Jason David Frank. Seeing him here so young and full of life, and now typing this with him gone, demonstrates that life is very, very brief. I am so glad I got to experience the 90's. No major influence from the internet.
I watch this movie alongside both Digimon the Movie and Pokemon the Movie 2000 in late 2000-early 2001(Pokemon the Movie 2000 was best out of these 3 movies, even when both Digimon and Power Rangers beats Pokemon for former 2 experiment with all new casts and settings(RPM was the closest thing Power Rangers follows digimon's approach of using different universes for each seasons) while Pokemon anime cursed to blows up when it both replacing even Ash himself and doesn't restricts setting's superpowered beings into Pokemon themselves)
each interview has to deal with violence and each answer is always the same "fantasy" or "cowboys and indians" which tells me they had a pr meeting before this event lol
@@EphraimAdamz That's entirely untrue. Today's generation very much use publicists. Speaking of movie stars specifically, you do not see any young star in a major movie 'running their mouth' on Twitter, whilst under contract.
Well they probably got the question from half of the outlets that wanted to talk to them. You could see how annoyed some of them got, like this again? Honestly even outlets who didn't care about the Violence were probably still asking questions about it because the other outlets kept pushing the controversy angle and your outlet can't be the one that is seen as 'trying to hide the controversy.' You see this all the time today.. If an outlet doesn't cover something that has been turned into a controversy.. they're immediately accused of trying to hide it.. instead of realizing that it might just be that other people aren't bothered by the thing you're trying to turn into a culture war. I forget who it was but there was a segment where someone was asked about the controversy and they went off hard, and the interviewer was like "I'm sorry, we have to ask the question." and they were like "No you don't, it's an absurd thing to ask stop feeding into this made up controversy, you all know how silly it is but you keep asking these worthless questions anyway." Something to that effect.. I think Samuel L Jackson did something like that once getting fed up with an interviewer asking garbage questions..
I love Johnny, Karan and Steve, don’t get me wrong, but I’ve ALWAYS wondered what this would’ve turned out with Thuy, Walter and Austin, the original cast. I also wonder if the second cast had a harsh time as I understand both when filming and when the movie was out in a lot of countries out of the US Season 2 hadn’t aired they were strangers and wondering: who are these people?
I regret no having the opportunity to watch this movie at the movie theater. I was sent to my grandparents' house that summer and missed the chance. I also blame my parents, they knew I loved power rangers, they should have taken me to watch the movie before sending me on vacation 🤣 it still hurts.
My mom didnt take me to watch the movie when it came out in theaters but she bought the vhs when it came out. I was 5 and stoked! She also bought me the res ranger mega zord toy when they came out they came out in Burger king
Me watching the show: they have these old ass ppl playin high schoolers lol Me watching them on the movie premiere: they were young af literally high schoolers 🤣 This is crazy 💯
You know I never realized...how did I never realize that the armor on power rangers is the same armor dbz had lol, Original power rangers are from japan
Yeah everyone was so concerned about Power Rangers promoting violence when if they had sat down and watched the damn show they'd understand it taught that martial arts should only be used in self-defense. Wonder how that same lady would react to today's climate. Makes Power Rangers seem quaint by comparison.
@@blacklodgetoys I grew up in the 90s so yeah, different time but it surprises me how as an adult that so many people got up in arms over Power Rangers being violent when they never watched the show which would prove them wrong. It's like they just saw clips of them fighting the MOTW (Monster Of The Week) and drawing conclusions when Zordon tells the rangers in the first episode that their powers are never to be used for personal gain and never to escalate a battle unless forced lol
Theres something freaky about the lady saying that the MMighty Morphin Power Rangers were rewarded DESPITE the controversy over the violence. No matter what, people always say there is controversy. When now we look back at it as childs play.
Jamás habrá como el primer power ranger y la película original, ahora nada que ver ni siquiera la película nueva, realmente esa generación era la mejor!!!!
