You can just look at the native populations which to a great extent experienced genocide during colonisation from "Christians" and decide how much of both a false and hypocritical statement you want to make. The extremists that are running around today are a more modern phenomenon so I don't know what you mean by "some time". Unfortunately it appears to be largely bankrolled and supported by those "fighting the war on terror" who do so by supporting terrorists. It's a real 4d chess move. Oh lets also ally ourselves with some of the greatest religious fundamentalists and in fact supporters of extremism as well. The leaders they were overthrowing were some of the most secular, just read up on the Ba'athist movement which was strong in Iraq and Syria. The only thing that makes sense (other than the assumption that there is a gross level of ineptitude) is that the goal is exactly to destabilise the region. This is taunting. Africa failed its youth. As an African I have no words to express my sadness. The root cause is brutal opression, neglect and lack of opportunity in our own home lands. This didn't happen when he ruled over Lybia. He was a dictator but most people lived good lives, with all necessities of lives provided. Gaddafi kept the migrants from trying to immigrate to Europe and they knew that and stayed at home. Now they come in droves and become either victims of slavers or human smugglers. All thanks to Hillary Clinton who wanted to play Caesar.
The only reason we went after Gaddafi was because we was trying to buy and sell oil with gold not the us dollar. Same reason we went after Saddam Hussain, I find it disturbing how few Americans know about our deal with Saudi Arabia to force the world to by oil with American dollar, it's basically the only thing keeping the dollar afloat. Almost every conflict we have bin in in the last 30 or so years is because of the Petro dollar, if you don't know what I'm talking about you really need to Google it.
