@@profetaparaMexico and yet Margarito loss this fight. It takes more than that to win. One man fights for himself. Another fights for his family. One man tossed away his pride as a boxer for a cheap victory. The other took his unfair loss, the only one of his career, and used it as fuel to come out victorious.
Mexico has a long, rich and proud history in boxing. Maybe the most proud of any country. Margarito brought shame to Mexico. Thats why mexicans dont support him anymore.
I paused at 2:54 because Cotto made me just analyze my entire character. A man that was robbed of the glory that was to be his by a man with dirty gloves. And he makes no mention of it up to that point to not be seen as having any excuses. What a gentleman. A true standard.
Total BS! There is zero evidence of anything in Margaritos gloves. I see fools spouting this all the time. If anyone used anything in there hand wraps it would break their fists. Naseem Richardson started all that nonsense and it is total BS.
@@istartedajoke1704No prove???? Look at Cotto's face in their first fight. In Margarito's career, he never destroyed a fighter's face, the way he sid to Cotto. Cotto's face, lips all swollen like a balloon. Till he exploded bleeding
he looks like mexican but he is not mexican hahahaha he was born is usa...another american citizen destroy by pacquiao...bradley didnt won pacquiao...mayweather really draw if bradley could win the third one but pacquiao now is old...we got morales and marquez you don't have any true winner against pacquiao
I absolutely love cotto he is one of the greatest boxers ever! His eyes are filled with pure hate for margarito..very scary man but probably the coolest man on the planet! With a heart of a 1000 lions
@@jackssense4055 people forget the Margarito took massive beatings from Shane and Manny before matching up with Cotto again, so how can you celebrate that when it's not the real Margarito that he fought in II?
He didn’t have loaded gloves in the fight. You hand warps and gloves over immediately after the fight since Collins vs resto. Cotton got revenge on maragariot after margarito had 50+ fights and 2 savage brutal losses. He never took a knee and quit in those fights like cotto quit against margarito. He wore cotto out from pressure and volume. Margarito wasn’t that guy the second fight. Margarito has 5 inches of height and reach. Bigger frame. Way better endurance. Pressure cardio and chin. Cotto is the better boxer hits harder but it cancels out as he can’t crack margaritos chin. On bot or there best days at ww. Cotto can’t go with him.
@@___Anakin.Skywalker and it wasn’t the real margarito that fought in cotto margarito 1. If I bought a baseball bat to a fist fight against you would that represent me as a boxer? The second fight was the real fight
Im a Mexican, and a HUGE Fan of Cotto. He let let his fist do all the talking for him. His name is on the list of all time greats in my book. Humble, man of few words, with alot of Heart. P/s i was very, very happy, when he "Beat the $hit out of Margarito" on their rematch. For being a punk @$$ cheater in their first fight. Much love and respect from Mexico Cotto!
If Margarito knowingly cheated, he should have never laced gloves again... In my humble opinion, I think he took years away from Cotto.. Cotto withstood all those rounds with Margaritos' loaded gloves and still continued to box but to me never looked the same
I mean they straight up caught him in the fight after Cotto with loaded gloves, so to suggest he had loaded gloves in the fight with cotto just makes sense.
@GodFist215 ....lol yea god fist I kinda know what that means... I understand what "broke" means buddy ...spirit or your body..ya know from the dark knight rises. Or how about that stupid movie "unbroken" meaning his spirit wasn't broken...lol your even more weird for thinking I didn't know what that meant..the reason why I called him odd is becouse how in the world can you say "you will feel it too" would break somebody's spriit..hall dumb af
Cotto: "it's stupid to die in the ring, why would I die in the ring? I have 4 kids waiting for me at home, who will take care of them? no one." warrior tugging heart strings right here.
I love Cotto. He really did have a great career. He was always professional and classy even when he was cheated. And his vengeance was sweet. Of the all-time greats for sure.
5:54 Look at how dumb Margarita is, he really thought Max was defending him, and then Max comes out with the million dollar question that even makes Miguel Cotto smile
kingyak7 He took his loss. But Margarita keep rapping so he thought he’d shut him up with a strong picture which shows he was and is a cheater. And beat him after this which he also did.
He said.. he's not crying about the first fight. But he's worry about the next fight because margarito was caught cheating. So...Cotto brought a tablet with the shit margarito was using illegally. He has the right to talk about this. He's about to fight margarito again.
It still is so crazy to me that Margarito is even semi accepted in any aspect of the boxing community after that first fight against Cotto. Boxing is all about being honorable and proving your strength so cheating or doing anything close to it is such a slap in the face to the sport itself. #TeamCotto
There is something that adds an edge when these are between Latino fighters speaking Spanish. Even though I only understand English - there is an extra crispness and intensity to these Spanish speaking ones - just like the Chaves Jnr vs Martinez one as well.
We’re very masculine when we talk in our native language every minute detail of our speech carries a significant tone. That and our facial expressions become more intens.
i love to see the doubt in Tony's eyes when Cotto says "you will feel it too" and he responds by saying "never". You can see the doubt. This was a great fight and i loved the way Miguel Cotto redeemed himself.
Margarito had over 50 fights and took 2 savage beatings. Cotto whot when both guys where on there primes. Also cotto said a glaring example of his style. That his health comes first and wouldn’t risk his safety and health to win a fight. That’s what seperates cotto and why he had an average career when moved to ww
When Max said Mexico vs Puerto Rico I shook my head. I as a Mexican didn't side with Margarito and after he got caught All of Mexico rejected him even till this day.
Love Cottos response to Max who keep asking him about risking his health to win. Boxers gotta stand up for themselves. They aren’t just some animals that fight to the death
I had to revisit this face off again. It was the best one that I've ever seen. Little did Margarito know that Cotto would beat the crap out of him 10 weeks later! Margarito is the biggest fraud to ever step into a boxing ring!
Margarito is an embarrassment to Mexican fighters, he has brought shame to a culture of great fighters and should have never been able to lace up gloves again.
Margarita:Demuéstralo ahí, espero verlo. Legend Cotto: Y SENTIRLO 😂💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 what a legend🤝🏻i used to pay per view all Cotto's fights back in the day. I'm 45 now and serving the Lord Don't care much for boxing BUT RU-vid Still recommend it, and this was a great recommendation 😁🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷💪🏻💪🏻
Max Kellerman was agreeing with Cotto's decision the entire time of him not dying in the ring for the sake of winning a fucking boxing match, Cotto is right too, he's putting his health on the line by simply fighting period, why fight till the death when no one is going to take care of your family.
Never seen this interview until now. I like cotton even more. His composure, and his words about having a family are something alot of people need to hear.
@@chrisperez3614 lol I didn’t even know that it autocorrected when i posted this. Never been corrected on spelling 2 years later before 😂😂😂 I’m just gonna leave it now, it’s been like that so long
The whole “willing to die in the ring” talk was interesting. In my opinion, Miguel has the advantage by willingly saying he won’t risk his life in the ring. He has too much to lose and he knows he has to do everything in his power to get out of there. He has an edge, he has a fear, and that makes him a dangerous man.
Uhh in this case I want to say Margarito has the edge because you dont go to war with anybody who gives a fuck less than you do. If I go to war with a person who have a death wish it's not necessarily he'll go down easy he might go down swinging cause if your back is against the wall you never go out with bullets left in your chamber. But at the same time if you have a man who has responsibilities other than himself hes going to fight to make it back. So it's really a choose em fight at this point. Luckily boxing can be stopped if you're fighting to the death you either leave on your feet or in the ground 6ft deep. Yknow I have to say that people like Margarito when it comes to real life are probably some of the most strongest individuals cause mentally they already dead set on dying anyway so I guess it comes down to a convo of survival vs inememt doom which mentality do you take. Survive to fight on or go out in a blaze of glory. Certainty vs Uncertainty. Safe vs Risk. Me personally I want to survive cause to me alot of things in life are just not worth it. If I was a boxer of course I wouldnt quit I would survive. But that's 1 thing wether you choose Survival or ALL OUT theres 1 things that's is affirmed there IS NO QUIT
