Thats why I admire this fighter. He never throw a word before and after any fight... He deserve a golden medal. “Most humble boxer”... If he only has a power punch like pacquiao or provodnikov.. then he must been defeated canelo or maynoweather before...
well Cotto finally admitted in an interview with him Zab JUDAH, and Paulie Malaginni that he did hit Zab JUDAH with 3 low blows in there fight intentionally because Zab style was frustrating him and he was losing up until the point of the low blows. I guess he is a clean fighter as long as he is winning...
Mike Tyson was right, they played safe, much more defensively, Cotto was different when he was younger against Zab Judah, Margarito 1, Alfonso Gomez. Mayorga is also more defensive, in contrast to his younger days against Vernon Forest and Felix Trinidad.
When you trying to get into people's head you got to be careful who you do it too if you do it too Puerto Ricans they going to get pissed off he did the same with Tito Trinidad and Trinidad just f*** him up Tito Trinidad went to Nicaragua and visit him and everybody was cheering for Tito because he's the one that broke his jaw😂😂😂😂😂
@@poligonzo5300 And?? Mayorga was a cherry and Tito picked him. Mayorga's first fight at 160 vs the hardest hitting middleweight former champion lol mayorga was putting on show.
@@stevens392 the thing is that Mayorga thought he can toy with Tito the same ways he did with everyone, and he found out soon enough what a big mistake was giving his chin to the hardest puncher in the history in 146 to 154 pounds lol 😂, tito was not a 160 pounder, that's why he started losing while he was gaining more weight.. Is a very difficult division
@@poligonzo5300 it was a show the fight was at 160 it was mayorga's first time up there. He wanted to put on a show but in reality Tito was cherry picking
@@stevens392 cherry picking? Mayorga was coming from beating Vernon forest, the guy that beat Mosley twice in his prime, and beating him badly, what are u talking about cerry picking? Mosley, the guy that beat Oscar de la hoya twice as well, didn't you know that.?????, so Vernon was no joke in the welterweight division, Yeah mayorga put his chin against Vernon forest, but he thought that tito didn't hit that hard, and that was a big mistake, tito is not forest, boxers sometimes think that when they go up in weight they become stronger but that's not the case he thought he was going to hit harder he thought he was going to be stronger he thought Tito was a lesser fighter than Vernon Forrest and he paid the price 😂😂😂😂😂you want to keep learning?
Cotto is loved internationally just like Pac Man. Two of the most humble fighters in the sport. I'm a huge Cotto fan but Pac Man destroyed him in their fight. Best thing Cotto did to revive his career was hook up with Freddie Roach and his camp. I'm Puerto Rican but much love to the Philippines and to Pac Man.
I have the utmost respect for Miguel Cotto. I feel as though he is a true class act. His poise, professionalism, and humility in the ring is something I look up to in a fighter. If I was a boxer, and I had the talent, balls, and determination to do what these guys do, It would be an honor to get in the ring with this man. Even though I'd lose miserably, I would be proud to say that I was in the ring with him.
Cotto is a good fighter but c 12:06 ommentators made out like Majorca was the only one getting hit Majorca pounded Cotto too...and he's more interesting amusing to watch..love Majorca😊
Mayorga is the best of the worst boxers I have ever seen. He was sloppy and had all sorts of difficulty but man was he good and I know he struggled with some of the best guys but he dominated Forrest and it was amazing that he competed at the level he did with his level of technical competency.
50% of the battle is held outside the ring, that means discipline, attitude and being prepared mayorga almost always loses all of that against decent (not even great) boxer.
Jasper Angel I’m gonna be a devils advocate, I believe you can dislocate whatever the bone is with one simple movement you never know. Have a look at the Jorge Masvidal vs Yves Edwards fight when Jorge did the pose after won the fight. He’s just couldn’t stand up.
it's not a acting it's the brain reaction when he got caught by the punch and then he realize he acts awkwardly and just played with it. to have a reason hahaha
Yeah those are chopping punches. Not no slaps. He basically fights like a street fighter from the hood with no technique but those chopping hands for sure can knock a vato out. Mayorga just had a terrible body for body punches as well as no defense. It was still a good fight in my opinion.
Coto uno de mis boxeadores favoritos ,soy Mexicano pero Miguel era un gran boxeador y aparte no era fanfarrón, siempre humilde y listo para dar pelea, demasiado sucio Mayorga le conecto muchos golpes en la nuca.
Its a shame that Mayorga never grew up from a hood brawler to a boxer, he had the hunger, the endurance, the chin and the heart to go toe to toe with the best, but instead kept doing the same again and again with the very same results, always been out boxed.
he literally ahd just the chin and balls. in my opinion that is a very small part of boxing. no1 cares in you are an infighter or outfighter (boxer) in pro boxing. what they care is weather you win or not. ali, suagr ray and mayweather all were boxers who fought from outside enemy range. ali tried some really risky strategies which hurt his career and health. i pick being clever and not getting hit any day instead of false bravado. its harder to make the opponent miss rather than stand there and take punches like a dumb mofo.
That's the same thing I was thinking , I don't see another explanation to his broken hand... Unless he just couldn't take anymore punishment and just staged an injury so he wouldn't look like anymore of a fool.
NO APRENDE. .SALUDO ESPAÑOL HERMANOS
Mike Tyson was a killer in the ring. He's the only fighter who can say what he said and from his standpoint its true. He finished fights in one or two rounds in his prime.
Mayorga didn’t start boxing until late in his life. He was like almost 20. And he never took training seriously a day in his life. He was just raw toughness and power. If he would have started younger and actually dedicated himself there no telling how great he could been
Haha very funny, he got no one to blame but his hand after all that show off and awkward cocky and trash talks. Hahahahaha...... Mayorga still needs to grow up cuz he did not know even how to respect himself , at last he betrayed his own hand hahahaha.
Mike Tyson got caught by surprise and was like “huh! ....oh it’s spinal!!” 😅😅 what fight was he watching cause they where throwing bombs 💣....what a fight!
Personally, I love Mayorga. Dude is the funniest boxer ever in my opinion 😂 His antics outside/inside of the ring and getting his ass beat every time is what does it.
Cotto’s footwork and discipline is really good . He always gives a good fight. Mayorga is fun to watch. With all his trash talking but the guy has a chin.
