Fresh Freshh well you know what she means Mexican and African American culture. People refer to Mexicans as brown for example Brown Pride and obviously black for African-Americans
We are brown people .Why do we have to keep living with the Jedi mind track. Your hair is black you skin is brown stop drinkng the koolaid. You don't want to be called negro but black is ok. Its the same dang thing. Niether term describes our people.
Alexis Dieguez IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR BLACC PEOPLE TO BE RACIST... RACISM IS A SYSTEM CREATED AND MAINTAINED BY WHITE PEOPLE.. ME NOT LIKE MEXICANS ISN'T GONNA STOP YOU FROM GETTING A GOOD EDUCATION OR AFFORDABLE HEALTH, NOR CAN WE AS BLACC PEOPLE DENY Y'ALL FAIR HOUSING.. BUT I DO WANT Y'ALL OUT OF HIP HOP AKA BLACC CULTURE..
Miguel and J. Cole will always be the hottest collab in music for me. Been down with Miguel since day ONE. Only singer in the game who SINGS and croons.
*_Wow I knew he was Hispanic, but I didn’t know he was Mexican!! Awesome.. I love ❤️ how he’s in touch with problems going on in the HISPANIC & BLACK communities!!!_*
Jahsaige J He's genuinely a gentlemen and you don't see that anymore as often. It's a breath of fresh air when you come across a well raised man like him.
I love that Miguel represents his latino side and black side unapologetically. He still comes through Inglewood where his mom is from...Its nice to see another afrolatino that represents me and others. His tour was awesome and he has such a naturally good vibe. I need his version Beyoncé crazy in love and Rihanna Kiss it better...this guy could sing the telephone book and he's a phenomenal song writer as well...His brother Nonchalant is a dope artist as well.
Jamela Moore lmao you're absolutely right hes not an afrolatina cause that would means he's a woman... good thing I said afrolatino (male) like he has referred to himself in other interviews ...whewww that was close...you have a good day good vibes to you
Jamela Moore semantic, semantics. The man refers to "himself" as afro-latino, which should be good enough for you. With so many people who try to distance themselves from their black heritage it's good to see someone who embraces it.
Lady Day Dream I'm indecisive too I'm definitely rocking with Banana Clip tho. The first verse on that song alone tells a lot about society today. Pineapple skies is my shit too. I don't know how this man does it lol
This talented man is still humble enough to have $50 concert tickets. He is the most talented out there! Also, I feel the same way Charlamagne feels about Come Through and Chill. I be chilling then Cole verse comes on and I be stressed again lol
Because Miguel knows those joints are a weave. Extensions so he hasn't paid the dues to rock locs and be proud of the years out in. My locs are the same length, little longer, but it took me 2.5 years to grow from a bald head.
I was JUST wondering when Miguel was gonna come back to the show! This was right on time lol. Him and Cole should do a EP or album together; their collabs are always 🔥🔥🔥
I think its awesome how Miguel illustrates how much in common Black and Latinos have in America. Loyal to our roots. Big families. Tough upbringings. Deal with discrimination / prejudice. Passionate about music. Our cultures have a strong common ground. Basically, we are like 2 kids who look different but share the same story as we try to survive this foster home we ended up in.
@@rgdssd that's not true there is plenty of African influence in Mexican culture, for many people though generational prejudice has kept the Mexican people from embracing the African roots though. Go to many of the states on the east coast of Mexico you'll see plenty of black Mexicans and Afro-Mexican culture. Even the music like mariachi, son huasteco, son jarocho, cumbia, all began with African rythms
@City Nat that's not a fact and not even true Mexican culture is very mixed it isn't mainly Native American, though there is Native influence and I never said there was this huge African dominance in Mexico, I'm only stating that the influence does exist and should be embraced and celebrated. The Natives that originally inhabited Latin America were the Olmecs and many believe they are of African descent, so either way there is African roots bro.
@@ericaortega4801 Mexican is a nationality. He is Mexican based on culture, but his nationality is not Mexican. He is American. You are correct that Latino is not a race. I don't know his DNA...but if he is like most Mexicans then he is Indigenous/Native missed possibly mixed with a little Spanish (European). That would mean he is black/Indigenous (Native American) and maybe some European.
Mike Carter How am I a puppet? Because im glade to see someone mixed with the same race and ethnicity as me. You sound stupid and miserable. Ill pray you find happiness in life.
Happy Thursday! I am praying peace and prosperity to anyone that is reading this message. One more day left in this work week. let’s get it kings and queens👊🏾
'kaleidoscope dreams' is definitely one of the best r&b albums of the past 10 years or so. i started on 'leisure & war' when it came out, but never finished it. need to revisit.
It's no longer time for chasing You can't chase energy... Either it's gonna come and you gonna let it flow Or you gonna waste time... To chase is such a waste of time You just put your energy out... If you stop chasing it the energy's coming to you and you just reciprocate... That's the war and leisure of life... You just figure out what your energy is and how to give it in the best way and it just always reciprocate... And that's the beauty of the whole thing...💎💎💎💎💎
Miguel is one of the dopest, if not the dopest rnb artist of this time and I'm an artist so I humble myself to say this. I can hear the evolution on each album.
Lmaoo...my boy Miguel always brought it back to the album after every question 😂😂 "Again, that's why it all goes back to War & Leisure yada yada yada.."
Kaleidoscope dream is one of my favorite albums of all times! Y’all have to see this man in concert. Best I’ve been to. And “adorn” is my wedding song 🤗
I saw him last month in Cali. I took my sis cause she loves Miguel. I knew I liked some of his songs. But damn, I'm a fan now. He definitely puts on a great performance. And the album is dope. I need to check out Kaleidoscope Dream.
I'm a fan for sure every album is amazing. Thank you Miguel I know nothing comes easy but your music does something for me and I appreciate all the hours and hard work that was put into every song!
Danasweeklypicks # lol Carlos Santana and his song was the first thing that popped up when I found Miguel’s dad was Mexican-American and his mom African-American.
I freakin' L.O.V.E. Miguel! We've BEEN listening to his lyrics that he's written for other's hits! I'm so happy 4 his success! Young.. Black and Mexican...from Cali!💜 His music is so refreshing & my absolute favorite!
DJ Envy ...envies how Mexicans are tight knit families ..... but blacks get more news coverage for discrimination than Mexicans. I love both cultures just saying...you guys are getting light in the media, Mexicans deserve light on discrimination against them too.
A Legend in the flesh. His Albums have found me all at different parts of life. I remember listening to each album for the first time and feeling a completely energy from each one.
