Знакомясь с новыми для себя песнями Дианы Анкудиновой, они каждый раз делают правильный выбор, сосредотачивая внимание на эстетической и эмоциональной стороне представления. Именно этого, по большому счёту, и добивается любой настоящий артист, исполняя такую драматичную песню: вызвать сильный эмоциональный отклик; произвести сильное эстетическое впечатление. И если получится - донести некое послание, содержащееся в песне. Данный номер нельзя назвать просто исполнением народной песни; это синтез визуального и звукового образа, и важнейшая часть этого синтеза - впечатляющий сценический образ: язык тела, жесты, выразительная мимика, и особенно - глаза. Замечание о том, что её голосовые связки и брови как будто действуют синхронно - и остроумно, и проницательно. И эти брови, и этот пронзительный, обжигающий взгляд из-под бровей, и вся её выразительная мимика усиливают воздействие её голоса и делают его абсолютно убедительным. Эмоции и эстетику они в целом восприняли; вместе с ними дошла и часть послания. Отчаяние, боль, вызов, нежелание покориться злой судьбе - вместе с пониманием неизбежности этой судьбы. Всё это можно уловить и не понимая слов песни. А что до полного понимания смысла этой песни: боюсь, что даже многие носители русского языка не вполне понимают, о чём вообще здесь поётся. В самих словах смысл лишь угадывается, и каждый из нас может додумать его сам. Кто-то вспомнит про Степана Разина, а кто-то подумает и о своей буйной голове. В английских субтитрах смысла ещё меньше, и остаётся единственный выбор: сосредоточиться на звуке и визуальных образах. Резкий контраст между светлым и печальным образом юной девушки - и этим мощным, неожиданным, необычно звучащим голосом производит сильное впечатление, независимо от того, нравится вам такая интерпретация песни или нет. Я несколько раз пытался сравнивать это исполнение с тем, что делает Пелагея - каждый раз боясь разочарования; но каждый раз убеждался: нет, не разочаровывает; сильно действует и одно исполнение, и другое; действует по-разному, вызывает разные эмоции и разное эстетическое впечатление. У них не просто разные интерпретации, и даже не разные жанры, - а скорее, вообще разные виды вокального искусства. Когда Диана Анкудинова воздействует на вас всей совокупностью своих талантов, в полную силу - она всегда способна вас расшевелить, полностью захватить ваше внимание и оставить в итоге впечатление, что вы встретились с чем-то важным, значительным. И это почти не зависит от того, что именно она исполняет - любой, кто давно её слушает, с этим знаком...

It's important to mention that Diana said she doesn't remember anything about her singing and it's clear as day!!!! Beautiful old Cossack song about a foreboding dream. also known as "The Cossack's Parable" or as "Stepan Razin's Dream". Diana's voice just reeks of emotion and depth.

Diana forces me to watch her. I don't have a choice. I am simply unable to turn away. It's a bit frustrating, for me. I can't just play her videos and go wash dishes. My eyes stay glued to the screen.

One of my favorites by her is this piece. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and the pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.

The 'judges' you see are also singers and competing against each other .. Diana therefore was a judge and contestant.

It tells the sad story of a young Cossack who has a dream about the upcoming battle. In his dream his horse is spooked by an evil wind from the East that blows his hat off. Puzzled by this dream he goes to see his commanding officer who explains that he dreamt of his own demise on the battlefield and it was not his hat which gets blown off - but his head! (Sorry Jess!) Pretty gruesome stuff! Diana put so much emotion into this, she was crying at the end of the song! Diana isn't just a singer, she tells the full story and conveys all the pain and passion just as if it was happening to her personally! Incredible dedication for such a young singer! I’ve been watching DIANA’s PERFORMANCE on this show….and various others for a few years now. She’s a GENIUNE Performer…she can SING 🎤 so many genre’s. Thank You 🙏🏽 so much for reacting to her diverse Musicality. Personal JESUS is also OUTSTANDING. 🙇🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️💎🫶🏽 what many forget is that she’s a Student still at an Performing Arts School and her mentor IGOR KRUTOY gave her an apartment to support her educational advancement goals. She has been performing since she was five years old and she’s absolutely adorable but without a doubt you could see her talent even than. 😊❤ So, us fans are extremely fortunate to receive a few new songs now and then. I’m sure it will all come together for a FANTASTIC future for her. I can only hope she will later do an International Tour like Dubai as she was invited by a Consulate from there. Diana does go in to a trance when she sings, in this video you can see her coming out of it at 5:29 . She is in a new show right now called "Duet", the concept is that you have o sing a duet with someone but you do not know who, in the middle of the performance the wall that separates the singers is removed and they see each other for the first time, Diana was so much in to the song she was singing that she did not even realize the wall was gone for a good 10 seconds after it was removed. This is really a great performance by Diana. Amazingly, this is a male song, since it is written on behalf of a Cossack (a kind of a Russian border guard soldier). But it has been sung by a woman. And a couple of words about the jury in this contest. The most members are the contestants at the same time. And only one person is a true member of the jury who is not a contestant. So, basically every contestant judges other contestants. Thank you for the reaction.

The judges on this show are also the contestants plus one guest judge each week. Diana judges the others when not performing. Each week requires a song in a different genre for each participant. Diana is the youngest at just 18yo.
