New York media is hilarious. They are so serious, so determined to get to business that it's so easy to pass off trolling as just a bad take. That's what makes it so funny. I mean how could anybody think saying a long dead football coach in Vince Lombardi should be considered a coach for the Knicks? Or North Dakota getting an NFL team? Or the baseball Giants interacting with the NFL Giants? Mike is funnier than most comedians because he isn't in on the joke, but he has such great unintentional reactions for what he thinks is actual questions. I think he could see the trolling for what it it is today, but if you put him back on the job, and trolled him. He would be too locked onto the job to get the joke then, and there.
This is absolute gold. I grew up on Mike and the Mad Dog and the FAN, but Mike in the solo years was an absolute shitshow. These clips are the quintessential example of what that show was. Al Albuquerque will never stop being hilarious.
