I never met Mr Kennedy but I did work with his son for over 11 years. He raised a good man. RIP sir.

I was saddened by the tragic loss of Mike. He was one of the best percussion musicians ever. He enjoyed his work with the Ace In The Hole Band. We miss you Mike!

The world lost a true talent on the drums. He played left handed and upside down as he described it but who noticed. He was so nice to me and my wife the night we met him, just can't believe he is really gone. We are friends with the Texas Jamm Band that several members of George Strait's band are in and were going to see them in San Angelo Texas on the 28th of this month but i'm sure that show will be canceled. Rest in peace Mikey, we will never forget you!

Fan of Mike when I first heard the intro to “Blue Clear Sky”. Song ends the way it begins. Puts a smile on my face every time I hear it. RIP Mike.

I'm still in shock. Kennedy was the drummer for Ricky back in the late eighties. He worked for Ricky back when my dad worked for Ricky. Kennedy, love you buddy. There are no words for what I'm feeling right now.

Praying for the family and friends and I have been to 8 concerts back when they had just got started. I have been mistaking for GEORGE. I bought them A round on my 19 birthday and after the show I got my picture with all of them and a couple of other with GEORGE. 1 of the best nights of my life

Mike said in an interview with Zildjian Cymbals that he played in his father’s band from the age of seven to age 15. His father then said go out in the world and play for them you are too good for me. So Mike did just that playing with many artists before landing the spot in The Ace in The Hole Band Backing The King of Country Music George Strait for almost 30 years. In 2018 he moved on and Now Mike Kennedy is Keeping the Time for The Angels of The King of Kings. Thank You for Blessing us with your Talent and Just Being You. Class Act and extremely talented drummer. George talks about his band members all the time and has said many times , his band makes him who he Is , how many stars have we heard this from. Mikexwillbalways be engraved on all George's drum sets on his set ups.

George has had to endure so much over his career, starting with the loss of his daughter in a car accident, then the loss of his golf resort to a fire, and now the loss of one of his good friends and band mates to a car accident. I don't know what he does that makes him stay humble through all this stuff.

I went through a huge dry spell as a drummer for about 3 years , and I started watching Mike play and he inspired and brought things out of me that I didn’t know I had inside me, helping me to get excited about playing a “simple song” again ... He was one of the busiest, but yet tasteful country drummers I have ever seen. Loved watching him play with everyone , but especially Jamey . Mike had an energy to his playing that is truly inspirational! You will be missed Mike! Prayers to the Kennedy Family...

I met this young man when I was working for Jack Harpers off Houseman road and loop 1604 in San Antonio Texas, Jack was selling earthworms for fishing bait and Mike was there, he came out and would visit with us while me and a friend of mine were working at the worm farm, great times back then ,I believe Mike was dating Jacks daughter at the time I always thought he was a cool guy. Rip Mr Kennedy
