Peter has been so wonderful to share his memories of Freddie with terrific recall of specific events. He is such a nice guy. Can’t wait to read his new book. ❤️
For an hour I found that dissapointing Tim was only mentioned because someone asked Barcalona for the olympics wasn't mentioned It wasn't explained if Montsarat wrote the lyrics for ensueno (excersises in free love) There's confusion if Roger did backing vocals on one track John playing bass on one track wasn't mentioned When it was done isnt clear He mentioned before and after Live Aid They finished their world tour in May 85 Did a week rehersal before live Aid july 13th I'm fairly sure he did the tracks for Dave Clarks musical in may 86 just after finishing A kind of magic album The tour was june to Aug 86 I thought they may have started late 86 But he said Freddie wanted to do Great pretender first which was Jan 87 I wish Mike had explained Freddie had to sing her parts in falsetto his in baritone then send them to her for her feedback And she wasn't able to give much time to recording.. If I hadnt seen things from other places I wouldnt have known much about the album from this So pleased that he had the chance to do this with her Great to be able to say first opera cross over
I was Freddie's chief cook and bottle washer, waiter, butler, secretary, cleaner and agony aunt. I travelled the world with him, I was with him during the highs and came through the lows. I acted as his bodyguard when needed and in the end, of course, I was one of his nurses.” - - such songs now sings, rotten Phoebe!
Exercises in free love on B side to the great pretender also on B side of 12' version, not my favourite track but a wonderful demonstration of the power of his voice that leaves the rest a million miles behind PERIOD!!
