TO all the Rowe's...GOD BLESS YOU!!! I haven't laughed this hard in months. Tell mom and dad I said Hi and Thank you. Sincerely, 1 of your little FB friends.
I've watched this 3 times & I'm still laughing! I originally saw it on facebook, but I now see you post weekly videos. I am now adding your videos to my weekly "must watch" list. I love the other "The Way I Heard It" videos I just watched, as well. Love your Mom too! I see where your wonderful sense of humor & disposition come from. Well done...BOTH of you! New fan!!
Mike you are so blessed to have your mom still, your relationship with your blessed mom is so similar to mine, God Bless You. Yours truly for another Mike, Blue Collar and Blessed my whole life.
What I wouldn't give for one more email, Facebook message, voicemail from my Mother. I miss her dearly but I thank her for all of the amazing lessons she taught me.
I have watched this particular video several times, and I have laughed till I have cried every time. Thanks Mike, for sharing your folks with all of us!
Oh my god!! I have heard this story many times and any time I need a good laugh, I whip it out!! It's not so much the story itself, but the way you tell it!!!! Every time you crack up, I'm with ya!!!!! How can I NOT be???? Your mom tells a very colorful story!!! Thanks for the laugh.....again!!
I've watched this probably ten times in the last month and a half, and I'm still laughing so hard right now! Thank you so much for what you do, brother.
it is 12:20am here in San Francisco, CA. I should be asleep but no, no, I have decided to go down the rabbit hole of RU-vid and after watching a lot of Mike Rowe video's I had to watch this because I know his mother (from previous episodes) has such great stories to tell. Mike had to share and tonight loosing some sleep (but it is okay I am unemployed due to COVID) it was worth the staying up and not letting the pause button happen and restart until later morning. No, no, I must watch to continue the downward spiral of the rabbit hole to sometimes reveals laughter. What a great time to live in right now. Virtually FREE entertainment.
My wife and I laughed until we cried. Thank you for getting our day started with a good laugh. Thank you for the foundation you started. Lord knows we need more skilled tradesman.
Mr. Rowe, I lost my Mom on April 4 at midnight on the dot. She was breathing April 3, she wasn't breathing on April 4. Thank you for sharing this: it makes me laugh and cry about my insanely funny mother. I'm so proud to be her son.
you can't make this stuff up. A compelling tale that sets my mind at ease, for some reason. every now and then, things actually turn out for the better. I'm glad I'm not the only person that sees other shoppers as belonging to a more modern era than my own, and feeling a little out-of-place sometimes.
Mom is a wonderful story teller, and very funny! I thought the laughs were over, then she delivers a final blow of humor. Thank goodness I wasn't drinking something when you read it..
That's a riot Mike! Mom is very good at letter writing, I must say! Her use of adjectives are quite the hoot! lol Tell Mom it's ok! She's as normal as apple pie! Now Dad...I don't know about all that dumpster diving!?!?!?!? lol Love your new show Returning the Favor, by the way! Binged on it all day last week just trying to catch up! Keep up the good work!
No doubt you got your humor from your mother - awesome family y'all are. By the way, my husband does a real dirty job of running a dredging barge. I'd give you his phone number but after this video.....apparently that wouldn't be very productive. lol Loved this video Mike and you and your parents' sense of humor. More of that is needed in this world. Thank you for sharing this!
Mrs. Rowe is a rock star quality writer, reminiscent of Erma Bombeck. Title: "Big Blue; lost & found at the local Wally World." ~Moral: Call Your Mom, Mike
LOVE THIS. LOVE YOUR MOM AND WANTED TO TELL HER NEVER EVERY HANG YOUR PURSE ON THE SHOPPING CART, BUT ALWAYS PUT IT INSIDE THE CART. I KNOW NOW WHERE YOU GET YOUR HUMOR! DON'TYOU LOVE THOSE LOST AND FOUND DEPARTMENTS? BY THE WAY I AM FROM KANSAS CITY! IF THIS STORY IS TRUE YOU HAVE TO LOVE THOSEPEOPKE WHO COME TO THE RESUCE!
Ironically about 10 years ago i found a large purse in a shopping cart at wal Mart in the parking lot. the older woman sent me 200 dollars in the mail in gratitude. Knowing that the return address on the envelope indicated that she lived in less that luxurious accommodations I mailed the money back to her. I couldn't accept the money regardless given that an older black woman had once found and returned my wallet many years ago without any desire for reward when from inside of the store she spotted me walking around the grocery store parking lot with my head down searching furiously for my wallet.
