I honestly don’t blame them with the decision they’re making, it’s difficult to lose someone that’s close to you and it’s also hard to find a way on how you can move forward from the situation you’re stuck in. Some may agree and disagree with my comment but I believe it’s the healthiest thing they can do for themselves cause trying to find another singer that can fill in for Chester is not as easy as others might think, the best they can do right now is keep in touch with each other and keep Chester’s memory alive. RIP Chester 🙏

When Chester passed away years ago, I pretty much accepted that Linkin Park was done. Without Chester, there is no Linkin Park. Sure, there are times where bands like Static-X find a way to move forward without their lead singer/founder and do a pretty good job at it (Of course, they'll never be the same without Wayne Static himself) But when it comes to Linkin Park, I just don't see something similar happening.

@@HitlerGaymes123 i see what you are saying, but what i mean is not about whether or not they should stop making music. it’s about the name of a band. a group of artists that came together to make music together. who is “the genius” is not the point in a conversation about accepting the death of someone who was a part of that cohesive whole that spent a lot of time together and shared the journey in time and space. as a fan of linkin park, my point is that if it helps mike who lost a dear friend, i would understand closing that chapter and retiring the name of the band. like in sports when they retire jersey numbers. go ahead, listen and love whatever mike and the rest of the band does without chester. but if they decide not to call it linkin park, i would understand that. i’m talking symbolically and as a person, as their friend, as a voice that some of us grew up with, singing along with, feeling deeply with… that time we spent together. he is irreplaceable. if they find closure in changing the name of the band and letting the name rest with mr bennington, that would be fine by me. there might be psychological pressure and pain associated with trying to produce music for the fans under that name when their friend died the way he did. i want to relieve that pressure by not being too attached to the name linkin park that is very strongly associated with chester’s and mike’s back-and-forth vocal styles

Chester really is irreplaceable. I think if he had died of a natural cause or even say in an accident maybe it might have been easier for them to move forward, but that can't happen. Chester dying via his own struggles given how close they all were (esp. mike) was way TOO TRAUMATIC and haunting. It'd be only natural that they end. There would be no possible way for them to continue with either a new singer or with just Mike. It just wouldn't be right. Their old "way of life" is GONE. If they build something new as a "new birth" out of the ashes so-to-speak, then that makes sense but Linkin Park is done.

Not surprising, but I respect and understand their decision. I've already accepted awhile ago that Linkin Park is permanently done, due to it never being the same without Chester. This isn't me saying that Chester was Linkin Park but his voice was definitely beautiful and unique, making him practically impossible to replace. Plus the bandmates were all practically best friends with each other (Especially Chester and Mike), so that would make searching for a replacement singer even harder. I do wish the best for all of them and hope that they never truly give up on making music and that they're all able to go separate ways music project-wise, though.

Where’s Mike Shinoda? I would LOVE to hear them do another Reanimation album instead!! If they did a Reanimation 2 with the greatest hits, for instance, it would be amazing!!! My son is loving Linkin Park right now. It would be great if he could come to at least 1 concert. It would be an honor! It’s not about replacing Chester, it’s about legacy! The songs are still awesome to listen to!

As much as I love Linkin Park, I must admit that I never really cared about if they would return with a new singer or no. Simply because I am fully aware that if they return, it just wouldn't be the same. Kind of like Drowning Pool after the Sinner album. As much as I hate to say it, I would prefer if they would leave things as they are right now, or if they really feel like they wanna continue making new music (together) it would be best if they start an entire new band (with or without a new singer), instead of doing it under the Linkin Park name because that would simply ruin everything they did for 17+ years. Even though I must admit that I find it really hard to believe that they would do anything like that for a lot of reason, to the point where I feel its simply impossible and out of the question. I think it would simply be best if One More Light is left as the final chapter of this band, so to say. That being said it would be amazing to see them work on music, either solo or in a diffrent band (perhaps as a guest in a song or two). But with how inactive they are, litteraly everywhere (social media, interviews and so on) I find it hard to believe that we will be hearing anything new from anyone who is not Mike Shinoda. They are so inactive that I could even find a single picture of Brad or Rob that is not at least 3 years old. So yeah, as cool as it would be, I find it very unlikely.

I honestly just want to see the members come together under another name, with Mike as the frontman. Completely new music. Chester is irreplaceable but not the single most important part of the band. Mike's rapping are what made the band for me. Plus he's a great clean vocalist too. But at the end of the day, it's up to them to do what they want to do.

Although I agree with most people when they say that Chester is irreplacable, I still think they CAN continue somehow. They are certainly creative minds and also certainly capable of making good music. Would it be the same like with Chester? Of course not, it would be a "different" Linkin Park but they can still rock the world.

You gotta look at what happened to bands who LOST their frontman .. Bon Scott of AC/DC and they got Brian Johnston for the LAST 40+ years.. Dave Williams of Drowning Pool and they got Jason Jones (2003-2005) and Jasen Moreno (2012-present) .. Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave .. Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots and Chester did sing for them for a while. Linkin Park can get a NEW FRONTMAN but I was hearing that they’re waiting on Chester’s son Draven Sebastian Bennington to grow up a few years and get vocal training from either Mike or from other PROFESSIONAL music vocal coaches

Just did what they did in 2017 again and made that the absolute FINAL performance. Then again, i also get the feeling they don't qant to pick up that ball again. They rocked out for 21 years [96 -2017] with chester. Thats a heavy loss to carry and cope with. If the guys wanna call it quits let em. I mean as much as I want to agree with you, I can't. Linkin Park is not just the voice of Chester. It's also the rap and lyrics from Mike, The riffs from Brad, the groves from Rob, Dave's Bass and of course Joe's final touch. You can't say that an entire band is one person, just like you can't say that one person is a band. Yes, when it comes to Linkin Park, people mostly remember Chester and Mike, but that is just simply not doing justice to everyone else who put their heart and soul into those songs and albums, just for some dude on the internet to say Chester WAS Linkin Park. You can look at it that way, everyone in the band was creating a playground for Chester and Mike so they can perform, and at the end of the day people forgot who build the playground on which Mike and Chester were staying on, if that makes sence. That was way too long, Im sorry you get the point.

Linkin Park rests on two pillars. Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington. The others are replaceable. They are not top musicians nor specially talented, nor charismatic. But without one of those two, you know. When bands keep making music after a loss like the death of Chester Bennington, it is for money.
