Another exceptional production by an exceptionally talented supergroup, Mike & The Mechanics. Even with their apparent world success, I am of the opinion that their music is underrated, artistically. Paul Young, the vocalist in this song, is not with us anymore, but his inspirational message and voice will go on into the future, far beyond what we can imagine. Let's celebrate it!
What is this magic all about? I had listened to this album in 1995 very often. In 2024 it delivers a much deeper meaning to me. … don’t no what to say, don’t know what to think. … only thing I can say, I love this song! 💜

My dad left me with a small black box of tapes after he died. He and I always listened to mike and the mechanics. But I didnt get the meanings. Now at 27 I do. This one: be content in everything you have, every situation you are in.
This album not selling as well as the first two is an absolute crime. This is one of the best sounding albums I've ever heard, and it wasn't devoid of either content or quality. This is the title cut from that album, and you can see why.

Paul Young is my favourite vocalist of all time. My Oh My from the Cafs being my favourite song of all time. He was a top guy. Met him a few times at Manchester Apollo after Cafs and M&tM gigs and met him in Segers in Bury when he was promoting his solo single, Second Chance. And I even attended his funeral. And a Man City fan to boot!! Still contemplating whether to have, I’m a beggar, and I’m sitting on a beach of gold tattooed on my forearm. The story of my life and appreciation of what my wife has given me.
