He sure was. Brother could have at least shaved off that old fashioned Burt Reynolds mustache, and got the hair on his head either cut down to a low brush cut, with a fade, or even a box cut, with a fade, like my man Tyrell Biggs was working with. Damn brotha was looking like it was going around looking like it 1977, instead of 1987, which would have made him, ONLY 19! 🤣🤣
@@billking1751 🤣😭😂😭🤣 Absolute Facts and with all the money he was making he literally had no excuses for looking like he was at a minimum of age 59 inside the ring that night anyway. I mean didn't he care at all that he was going to be featured on syndicated national television???😩 The whole entire world saw how old he was in the ring for Christ Sake!!!!!🤷 Even My own grandmother was confused. She thought Pinklon was her uncle who had mysteriously gone missing 10 years before this fight even happened.😳🤣🤣🤣
@@pauloyeghe1637 🤷The public cares sir. It's for this very reason why a visual rating system exists. For you to even ask that question would indicate that you're unattractive and clearly people do care about that unfortunately so. You can't hate me though you have to hold your parents responsible for bringing you into this world.👍😎👌

Thomas underated fighter. He got hit with some real hard shots earlier. Iron chin. Took hard body shots well. His jab beats most fighters. Hard to hit. Good defence . Just ran into a juggerknot . Roonie trainned tyson. Tyson is still learning & getting better.
pinklon looks like ken norton. their face is similar, both of them were champion. both of them have great chin. both of them got hit with so many punches, pinklon by tyson, ken norton by cooney and foreman
Yeah he was a bit wild happy this fight, plenty actually, throwing just to throw sometimes, hut one thing for sure, everytime he does throw, same intention
Anyone else think Mike didnt look like himself this fight? Like he was way better against Berbick. Way better against Spinks. Explosively and shape wise.
Also- to fight a power puncher and have true success you either have to be Willie Pep or have enough power to keep them honest and off you. Or else its just a relentless attack and depends on the punchers cardio. Thomas had a pretty solid rt hand but not enough to deter Tyson. People do not give Tyson enough credit for his chin either. Guy was so out of shape for so many elite level fighters (s); but hung in for rounds and rounds on heart and chin.
People also dont give enough credit to heavyweight fringe contenders in the 70s or 80s. Guys like Jerry Quarry, Oscar Bonavena, Jimmy Ellis so many more from 70s and guys like P Thomas, Mike Weaver, James Tillis, Tim Weatherspoon even Tommy Morrison. Lots of these guys would have been champs in other eras and many of them for sure Cruiserweight champs.
People talk about Tyson beating bums but Holyfield, Bowe and Lewis beat these same fighters after Tyson already had beat them and nobody called them bums when they beat them, Tysons prime was short but he beat good fighters.
My therapist was there when Pinklon said to the class he thought he was ready to fight Mike Tyson. They all looked around and laughed This was 30 ish years ago but looking back now man Pinklon was tough
Tyson was fighting big guys heavy hitters and knocking them out at only 20 years old. The nobody here is you . Talking trash about a former world champ behind a phone screen, lame mf.
I don't think Mike Tyson was a very good boxing fighter as many people, including the media, tend to portray the legendary boxer. If one watches carefully everyone of Tyson's approaches in the ring, one notices Mike bundling himself inside his opponent, forcing the arms of the opponent below and lower so that it is only Tyson doing the damage. Many boxers became "prey" to Tyson's onslaught because of the failure to identity Tyson's technique. Hence, James Douglas, Evander Holyfield, Lennix Lewis, Danny Williams, and Kevin McBride were able to beat Tyson.
Mikes going to slay this dude. People dont know but tyson was often told to drag matches out longer so people got there moneys worth he could of ended guys very quickly if wanted. If he went bonkers from begining to end it would be a massacre. He did not tire out and could just go ballistic for a long time and can move across a entire ring in less then seconds if he wanted. Trust me if you said mike ill throw ya 2 million emd it quick . Phew it would be done fast. Look up holyfield talks tysons training . He flat out said i train hard mike trained harder and then any boxer he has ever seen. And he said he did not tire in his prime. He could smash a heavy bag full power and not stop for a long time.
