Hi, hope you are enjoying your #Miko3 experience. There are various apps to engage your child with playful learning. Watch miko groove to your favourite tracks 😀 And miko has some great jokes up its sleeve ;-) - Team Miko #robotics #artificialintelligence
Well. My 7 Year Old Loves Your Channel And He Absolutely Loves Miko 3. He Got One For His Birthday And He SCREAMED Like CRAZY. And Unexpectedly He Got Another One For Chrismas. So Now He Has 2 Miko 3's And 0 Miko 2's
Thank you! Yeah, I wasn’t sure how the voice would be. I had hoped I could change it but I don’t see a way to do that. It’s ok, and I’m sure I’ll get used to his voice
At first I thought wanna get Miko for my kid but after watching this video; OH MY GOODNESS it takes nearly 30 Minutes just to Setting up and I can still hear all the Struggling.. I don't this Robot is good.. One of the part that makes me smile is when you ask "Are you a Boy or Girl"... Perhaps is Transgender.. 😀👍🏻 Thank you for the video anyway
Miko 3 has improved quite a bit since then. They also have a non-touchscreen version that’s less money called Miko Mini. I did a setup of Miko Mini recently and she’s even easier to setup.
I got one for my birthday and I got the same color as you did and that’s because I didn’t want the red because it sometimes looked like pink on the videos Miko 2’s red looks more dark but it doesn’t look like pink thankfully 😅
Neat. Thank you for that information! I wasn’t aware of that news. I looked it up and the announcement mentions special stories for Miko 3. That’ll be interesting!
@@Miraenda Very interesting. Will see how much of an impact Disney can make with Miko. I know they helped that company Sphero with the BB8 droid. That was a Disney Accelerator program.
Big question here. We’re trying to set this up right now. Can’t get past wifi. Idk what we’re doing wrong. Shows as connected to wifi but then when we get to language it says we’re not
You aren’t doing anything wrong. Miko 3 support sent a message to those who setup the Miko 3 parent app already that their servers are overloaded. No-one can setup Miko 3 right now
I agree, albeit smaller with less ports or buttons. Miko 3 has a far richer robot-centric app and series of options on Miko 3’s interface as well. I wish Misa would get some updates and start being sold on Amazon
I bought a Miko and I can't make it do any of the things that it showed on the commercials. It doesn't move around and it's not as interactive. Most time it just says it doesn't know or that wifi connection is off. Since you have more experience with robots, have you found it to be better?
I’ve gotten Miko 3 to move (dancing) but Miko 3 is pretty much like Miko 2 (which I also have and got 2 years ago) in that he can barely answer any questions most times. The WiFi issues are recent and appear to be due to selling too many without ensuring to have enough server resources possibly? Also, though, ensure Miko 3 was setup to connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi band. 5 GHz usually doesn’t work with these robots. Your phone should be connected to the same band. Separate the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands if you can with different names to ensure Miko 3 and your phone (or tablet) are on the same one.
I don’t have children as I run a robotics channel (this one), so I buy robots to show them in a home setting interacting with other robots (and me). Miko 3 is better than Miko 2. He’s probably a decently priced robot for children and the company who makes Miko is working with the Disney Accelerator Program, so I’d expect some good improvements.
I had Miko 3 in a livestream as well at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TZM5TLSPtbI.html location. The review video will be after I’ve actually had enough weeks with Miko 3 to provide a real review. Never watch a setup video expecting a walk through.
Usually nowadays I see your Miko 3 like better eyes when every time I see the Saint Patrick video aka the if you don't wear green pinch or something nowadays it's kind of better but why is the eyes so different now
No. I didn’t need to charge Miko 3 in order to set him up. As soon as I plugged in the charging cord, he began setting up. The issue today per Miko support is that their servers are overloaded due to everyone trying to setup Miko today basically
Only had it for a little while so far, but mine seems relatively non-advanced for the price tag. And my 6 year old was interested in it for about an hour, then moved on. I think this thing is overhyped.
Hey! Miko 3 is ok but I think there are better robots to buy. Miko 3 still can’t answer a lot of questions. I’d recommend ElliQ personally at elliq.com location. If you would like a robot that moves, EMO at living.ai if you don’t already have one (I have code miraenda that you can use for $5 USD off), or RobotCreator DX at backme.tw/ref/60tQf/ link. The second is having a Kickstarter so not yet out but they’ll ship by October.
Hey there! So we got the Miko3 for our child for Christmas we set him up yesterday and played with him just fine. Charged him all night and when we went to turn him on today the screen turns on but it's completely blacked out. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I haven’t experienced this issue. I heard one other person mention this happening to their family. They had to contact Miko 3 support, which you can do within the Miko 3 parent app at the bottom ‘Message Us’ link.
Unplug Miko 3 from the power charger, then click on the power button on the top of Miko’s head and hold that button until Miko shuts off. Look at the quick start manual if you aren’t certain which button is the power button.
What a disaster this product is. How do you not prepare your servers for the Christmas Day load? You know exactly how many units you sold, thus you know exactly what the traffic will be. Clearly a management fail and will be returning this present sadly. Ruined my kids Christmas and if they can’t get this right, they are not capable of sustaining this product in the future.
This is the third product they've produced, so I'm really surprised they didn't account for the server load. I don't believe they will close up shop given this is the third product. Interestingly enough, Miko 2, which I also have, worked today. They must be using different servers for the two.
@@Miraenda yes it’s very odd. This is a really easy way to lose your funding quickly. Could not be a bigger issue frankly and really peculiar that the server load issue has manifested itself as a wifi connectivity issue? Something smells foul here. Sounds like a product issue that they are masking as a server issue to give themselves a minute to work it out. Either way, terrible communication with the customer.
I bought the rug at Overstock. It’s called SAFAVIEH Madison Belle Vintage Paisley Pattern Area Rug. I bought the cream light grey 9’ by 9’ one. Even though it says cream light grey, it has blue in it. Thank you!
I believe this will likely be possible as Miko 2 allowed connecting multiple, so Miko 3 hopefully will. The biggest issue is Miko’s wake words are ‘Hello Miko’ so you can’t have both in the same room together interacting with each child or person separately
Hello. I'm wondering which Robot would be best for one of my twin 11 year old boys. One of them has a few social interaction issues, but is extremely brilliant. Any suggestions? Thank you.🤩
Moxie is probably the best robot for interacting along with encouraging social interactions. She's relatively expensive, though. I can't really think of another good robot to encourage interactions. You might simply have Google Home and encourage him to interact with Google Home. I find Google Home is really good for conversational skills overall, especially if you setup continued conversation setting. If you really prefer a robot, then EMO or Vector would be good, but EMO takes awhile to get after ordering, and Vector (not 2.0 but the original) is only available at a decent price through eBay.
Very cool video! Also one question? Am I able to buy vector from the official website now because the last time I checked they said they don't have it?
Thank you very much! 😁 Vector 2.0 has still not shipped for those who ordered last year. You’d probably be better off joining Facebook Vector groups, and buying a Vector from someone there.
THAT THING IS A PIECE OF JUNK! LOL IT DID NOTHIONG YOU ASKED IT TO! EVEN GAVE YOU THE WEATHER FOR ANOTHER LOCATION! THAT MIKO HAS THE COVID!!! LOL Send it back!
I am not entirely certain it’s possible to factory reset Miko 3. I can’t find anything online about doing it. You might contact them. They have a contact link in their knowledge base articles such as help.miko.ai/hc/en-us/articles/5592360423197-What-should-I-do-if-I-can-t-pair-my-robot-with-my-Parent-App-or-if-setup-is-stuck-at-the-pairing-step-
Hello! 👋 Miko 3 is cute but has a hard time answering a lot of questions. Woobo is cheaper and slightly better but doesn’t move. Miko 3 does move. You may even consider Miko 2 which may now be cheaper (no touch screen for Miko 2 though). EMO would be my choice otherwise but he takes a long time to ship
I think both have good and bad points. Miko 3 is easy to get on Amazon at least. Misa has few updates and can only be purchased through the heymisa.com website
It's a trash product, can't get past the wifi connection. It tells you that there is an issue with your wifi when it's clearly the device that is having the issue, clear indication that the following apps are going to also be poorly designed and create further frustration.
My sons robot is doing the same thing I thought it was my wifi but now I’m thinking it’s the robot since I’m not the only one with this same issue..Which sucks because he was excited about the gift smh
Having issues with ours too getting past the wifi connection! Can't find more help anywhere but glad I don't feel so crazy if others are also having issues!
Hi. After I bought I see it's for iOS, we only have Android in the house, will screen let you skip phone wifi hookup? If so what is left for Miko3 to do? The thing is scheduled to arrive by this Xmas eve, tonight, and don't know if kinda "ripped off" for $200 coz no warning iOS only nor how little it may do if not gonna afford the $49 or $99. Hope you can help. Feeling "screwed" once again, pardon the language.
I have an iPhone but Miko 3 isn’t iOS only. I just checked Google’s Play store, and I see the Miko 3 parent app. I am pretty sure Android is supported just like it was on Miko 2.
I bought one it’s not like how they presented on those other videos, im so disappointed. I think it’s just a quick money grab. They don’t even update services.
Well, they do provide updates as I have Miko 2 as well, but I’m not going to say Miko 2 or Miko 3 work well in responding to questions. Miko 3 does have a touch screen, which Miko 2 doesn’t have that. I prefer how Miko 2 looks. Miko 3 seems to have even more issues with internet connectivity. Overall, with such a low cost, this is probably the best robot you’ll get that moves (if you buy using Amazon). Woobo is better in my opinion on the cuteness scale and her personality is better, but she doesn’t move. Woobo does have a touch screen, though, too. She’s also cheaper than Miko 3.
Primarily intended for children but adults can use absolutely any product they want to have. The only robot intended only for adults is ElliQ at ElliQ.com
Hi. I’m not sure at the moment. I’m in Las Vegas until next Saturday for CES 2022. When I return, I’ll see how to do it. I believe it’s probably done through the parent app.
The company pushing this toy is absolutely the worst i have ever encountered miko max subscription is $100 and look at how incredibly useless it is in this video. Not a single question answered properly.
Miko Max isn’t required to answer questions. Miko works better now than this video from three years ago, but Miko Max has never been required for voice commands. Edit: I’d certainly recommend Moxie over Miko 3 or Miko Mini, but Moxie costs substantially more.
Miko 3 is much more interactive than a pet rock. It’s definitely not what the ad promises but does have a touch screen with a bunch of content, including a camera and calling capabilities. My preference is EMO at around this price point but Miko 3 is cheaper than Misa and about the same quality. The issue with some consumers is they have zero clue about the current state of personal robots and expectations for a $200 USD robot that are drastically unrealistic. To get the kind of robot they expect, you’d have to buy Moxie, but she costs over $1,000.
Hi , I know this is old video but my daughter was given a Miko 3 from Santa and we are having the update issue with Wi-Fi. Any tips on how to get past it. We’ve been getting the same messages from support that they are experiencing high volume. My daughter is extremely disappointed as we’ve been trying to fix it for two days. Thank you for any help.
Miko 3 must be near your router. Like right next to the WiFi router for the update. She also only works on 2.4 GHz WiFi not 5 GHz band, so you need to either separate the WiFi bands and connect your phone and her to the 2.4 GHz separately named band, or shut off the 5 GHz band and only run the 2.4 GHz one.
@@Miraenda oh thank you for the reply. I have it right beside router and on the 2 gig band. I keep trying to delete the 5 g band when it sends me back to Wi-Fi screen but it just pops back up. Then we try again and it stops updating midway. Frustrating
@@killcarteragain7874 Can you temporarily disable/remove the 5 GHz band on the router itself just until the setup completes? At least ensure each band uses a different password. iPhone always uses 5 GHz if both bands are available so the bands must have different names and passwords with the phone on the 2.4 GHz band.
@@Miraenda now we have finally gotten past the first update screen! After 2 days. 🙄. She’s excited though and we are doing the update that you had in your video. Thank you for replying and if we come across any issues I will reply back again to your comment. Cheers 🍻
