@@lucky4d725 I've recently been seeing alot of people say the insomniac Spider-Man games web swinging is slow. I've never noticed it being slow since i use the swinging mechanics to their highest potential. aka i dont have a fucking skill issue

Swing, release, press X, R3 dive then swing, but don’t swing yourself too far up in the air, let go when you’re moving forward. Pretty sure that’s how you get fast web swinging, it’s the fastest I go anyway lol
I think they changed his speed and made him faster because they were no longer limited by the hdd of the ps4 and the ssd from the ps5 gave them the opportunity to make miles swinging somewhat faster and I think on Spider-Man 2 the swinging is going to be faster for Peter too to match Miles swinging speed
The swinging is probably the only reason to buy the game, as both Spider-Man games become just swinging sims at the endgame, and miles’ has all the venom tricks and shit😭

When the developers agree that the swinging is slow then the *SWINGING IS SLOW* Poor hardware so had to limit speed. On pc you can get a mod which vastly increases the speed. But if you watch the trailer for the second game it looks like we are getting faster speeds.

The stealth I'm divided on, cause it does not innovate really. I wasn't compelled to be stealthy in Miles Morales and Spiderman Ps4, so I can't say miles takes the win for stealth
I don't understand why people keep saying this. For me I spent 11 hours on the main game in miles and 13 in the first game. It's not that much less, at least when talking about the main campaigns
This was an amazing game. I loved the unique abilities and the soundtrack. To me this is more like a lil spin off game rather than a full on sequel, so I don’t mind the shorter run time
My thoughts on miles morales was that if gave the character a leg to stand on going into the sequel. That’s why it was shorter and not as fleshy. Kindve just enough to set the stage for him and his newer moves to fully appreciate both characters in the massive story of 2
@@futabafanclub865 No- legit insomniac Spider-Man web swing is slow. This isn’t us shitting on the game either, Insomniac’s Spider-man swinging is stylized and animated - we all love it. But Web of Shadows Web swinging on speed alone is on a different level entirely.
Literally perfect? How many Spider-Man games did you play? I'm going to guess two and both are from Insomniac. The swinging is very good, but there's a lot of issues and it's way worse then in several older Spider-Man games.

After across the spider verse, and re reading the 90s comics, I would love to see a 2099 game made in the same style as these games. It would be so different (almost cyberpunk esc) and would also show a more gritty and rough Spiderman story
The only legit reason to the swinging feeling slow is that they forget that this is the biggest New York replica map they swung in. So even if there are similar speeds, you have to travel longer since the map is bigger in the newer games. But the speed feels right to me.
I didn’t get a ps4 until 2016 so I played ac syndicate before unity so when I finally played unity the bugs were all gone so it was one the best ac experiences ever
im saying. i've mastered every single web swing combination. when you play music and swing around the city for fun you'll be able to get around with ease. web swinging is basically a everyday thing for me at this point. him saying it's slow is cap. you can literally web zip around to gain momentum. along with your venom abilities to give you a boost
@@LilTaterTot.. Exactly. Insomnia figured out to make web swinging work like treyarch and beenox did many years ago. Because even in game when peter is swinging around during the dlc while miles calls him to ask why he does he have to do assignments that peter gives him, its to explain to miles that a lot of math goes into web swinging since its a lot of physics to web swing from building to building around with idea of being the pendulum on a string in motion. It is why peter is able to swing fast, he is able to calculate and execute the equation of swinging perfectly since he has 10 years to do so while miles is still a beginner to web slinging. He will get better in time and from what we see in the upcoming game, he has gotten even better at it since the previous game.
This game definitely hits you on an emotional level. The build up to the ending was insanely good for a short game and swinging through the city with all that snow and ray traced reflections is so cool.
When you max out swinging skills and don't suck ass at using them, you can move pretty quick and be very versatile in traversing the city. It's slowed a fraction to encourage exploration. Previous games didn't have as much to do, so the faster you get to your next destination, the less you notice the empty environment.
I think this game has a lot of fluidity improvements over the first one, but the game I think was hurt by how much smaller it was. I think Miles being closer to the citizens felt right for miles story. But I personally felt the story did not come ANYWHERE CLOSE to the depth and emotions of Spider-Man. The heartbreak in the last battle with doc Ock and everything around Jefferson Davis’ death was PEAK storytelling. I loved how they brought Miles into the story too. Miles Morales just seemed like more of a DLC then a full game. Here’s to hoping Spider-Man 2 is the best yet!
This isn’t Spider-Man 2, it’s more like a massive dlc for Spider-Man 1. It was made to show off the ps5 capabilities and flesh out Miles’s character before they release Spider-Man 2

My only problem with the game was the tinkerer, she just wasn’t that good of a character and blatantly refused to listen to anybody throughout the whole game
Yeah I think Spider-Man PS4 is a 10/10 but miles is a 5/10. It’s just to short with a below average story and no depth whatsoever. It was also incredibly easy

Yeah this story did suck. But it was made by a different team at insomniac than the first. Plus i believe it was rushed to get it done by the release of the PS5. The same team of the first game is working on Spider-Man 2. But the team that made Miles Morales is making Wolverine.
For everyone saying game was to short. You need to understand this is the first miles game, so it was a 50/50 . Fans couldve loved it or hated it. So they took the safe route and made story shorter to see if people would like.
i still play both spider-mans and i love the swinging. i swing way faster than what you were showing so maybe its a skill issue and not a game issue 🤷🏽♂️
The movement is slow though.. if you compare it to something like spiderman 2 these games hold you're hand a lot and dont offer much when it comes to swinging. Im not saying its not fun but mods on pc for spiderman remastered show how much better the swinging could have been.
I think the game is really good, and while yes the characters don't have much time to grow on us, I don't think that is necessarily bad cause it was never meant to be a huge game like the first game was, this is a 6-7 hour game if I remember correctly, just meant to sort of show us how miles grows as Spider-Man between the first game and the upcoming game Spider-Man 2
Swinging is a skill issue once you understand the timing and all that then ur good. There are times when depending on the area or height you aren’t able to get full speed but once ur good ur good. I never noticed it being slow. The feel of the game is that you swing and you see everything as you go through making it more immersive. If you want it to be you zooming through everything the game will feel floaty and take away from the immersive feeling especially when you take into account things like sound design and control. Slow swinging is for the most part skill issue after a couple of slower swings to gain altitude and the Rhythm it’s pretty fast
I find that Peter's tip from into the spiderverse about swinging to the rhythm is actually a good tip for this game as well. Always keep the rhythm and the swing will be smother, faster and look better. You'd think the tip would be unnecessary, but I've never paid attention to it and since I've been doing it, it just works better

i might be talking out of my ass because i haven’t seen it yet, but i wish we could change time of day or weather conditions like the first game. there’s some dope suits that would look so good in photo mode with nighttime snow and/or rain. hopefully the feature returns for the next game, and if it doesn’t, rip symbiote church pose.
Miles Morales is such a good game. I always feel like it doesn't get the credit it deserves often in part because it's not Peter Parker. I thought they did such a good job if giving him and introduction so he can really shine in Spiderman 2. Also the invisibility and venom powers were a lot of fun.
