I loved that scene where the reporters are blocked and the people refuse to say who spiderman is. It was a great nod to the train scene from spiderman 2
The part where harlems people said, "This is our spiderman" reminded me of the part in spider man 2 when peter parkers body was carried by the new yorkers and they kept his identity to a hush, so powerful.
The reporter immediately asking who Spider-Man’s identity was shows us how careless the press can be. First thing I would do is ask if somebody is hurt.
To the people saying that Phin deserved to die: Yes, what she did was wrong, but her brother was murdered in front of her. She just wanted to hurt Roxxon, not destroy Harlem, that's why she sacrificed herself. She realized what she did was wrong and to her, that was the best way to redeem herself
Can we all just understand how durable Miles is? He repeatedly gets hit with a lot of force (at most just getting knocked out). But here he fell from a high building and hit the ground on his back full force, then turned into a bomb, then fell from an even *higher* height landing full force, and he’s still alive
@@davidlegkodukh6969 not more advanced just different like a skill tree in a Game Peter's base spidey abilities are stronger but miles has his Venom blast and camo wich make Up For that Don't know how It goes un the Game tho
imagine after he releases all that energy and is free falling towards earth again, peter comes out of no where and saves him from hitting the ground. that shit would’ve been crazy
In comics Peter is more durable, faster, smarter and stronger but miles has more powers. Peter is in fact so fast that miles wouldn’t be able to hit him.
The part where Miles' mom came to him worried that he was dead made me cry. Miles has a passing reassemble to my friend who passed away when he was 19. His mom was the first one to rush to him after the accident but it was too late.
Miles In The First Game: “It’s Easy For You To Say, But I can’t do what you do” Miles In The Second Game: Legitimately Taking Down A Power Hungry Enforcer By Himself
Miles at the end of explaining what happened in the final fight: so then after i beat up my friend, I turned into an atomic bomb and my friend had to take me up in the sky. then I exploded and killed her. so basically, it's kind of a big deal. peter: Kinda a big deal? YOU TURNED INTO A BOMB! big deal miles! big deal!
Woah so alternate suits don't revert back to the classic suit when the mask is off or half off in cutscenes? Dang that's neat! Edit: thanks for the likes spidey fans! i rarely get this much.
@@bashbros1411 I mean we’re supposed to that’s why this game left out a few things from the ps4 but yet added so much more but nonetheless this game is still right next to the ps4.
"The hardest part of this job is knowing you can't save everyone." ---- Spider-Ham This was an unexpected ending for Phin. Phin: WHY DO U KEEP FIGHTING? Miles: Because..........I'm Spiderman. Me: And Spiderman doesn't give up Phin you SHOULD KNOW MILES BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!!!!
It’s great that the suit we choose appears in the cutscenes where miles in unmasked. In Spider-Man 2018 the default suit appeared in unmasked cutscenes
I honestly love how they made it so the Spider-Verse suit seems to properly fit over Miles's head even when they're showing it, instead of going to a previous suit I really hope this applies to every suit
@@sauviel6296 Yeah, that's probably a given, it's not like every suit will look perfect with Miles's head, specifically the Verse suit and Animated suit, but at least they did their best
I loved the dynamic and story around Miles vs Phin and Miles’ Dad vs Uncle Aaron. It was clear both relationships were a mirror of each other and Miles learns about his dad and uncle’s relationship as he goes through similar drama with Phin. At the end it’s awesome to see Miles and Uncle Aaron both alive and kind of on the opposite side of that relationship dynamic, both hoping to resolve their differences and not let what happened to their other relationship happen between them.
I really love this ending, this was such a great Spider-man moment. Miles really earned his webs, and I really like the line of: "He's OUR Spider-man."
I resent it. "Our Spider-Man"? Well, this is why they created this test-tube character in the first place: to pander. I have nothing against the existence of "Miles Morales." When I was little, I thought it was cool that a Black Lightning existed with a storyline of an actual man and not just the superhero. They should have made Miles Morales a superhero unto HIMSELF, with his own powers and his own origins. If I were Black or Puerto Rican or both, I would be embarrassed by this need to feast on table droppings and call it a banquet. Miles could have taken on the powers of some insect native to Puerto Rico or from some other phenomenon from the Caribbean, either from geography or from a cultural mythos (what, I have no idea). That would have been more authentic than a cloning of a Spider-Man. To me, this is like going to a house owned by White people and squatting in it. How much dignity is there in that? The Black Panther is looked upon a character with a lot of dignity. What dignity is there in a borrowed fantasy just to pretend to satisfy a racial need? To me, there is a lot of value in "Get your OWN superhero." And people from the Black and Puerto Rican demographic should say, "Let's do just that."
@@AntoniusReginaldus Oh, 100% agree. He shouldn't have been 'Spider-Man ' at all. But it was more the feeling of a community rallying around a kid that they feel can represent the best of humanity and themselves. This was, at the time, Miles at his most selfless. These folks know nothing about the real Spider-Man, not his personality outside of hit pieces, not skin color, not politics, etc. Here, they had a kid. A kid that many of these folks know and see, as a person. They saw this kid with great power showing acceptance of his great responsibility in a selfless way that none of them could have dreamed would happen. A kid who comes from their roots, whose father died for their community, whose mother is dedicated to helping their community. Miles is, no matter what anyone wants to name him: Their Spider-Man. Even if he was named Arachnid Warrior, they'd have said the same line. No matter what, he is THEIR Spider-Man. Their hero. Their local boy. It's not even skin color, it's the community. Spider-Man is the street hero of New York. When people are in trouble, they know the Fantastic 4 won't stop their muggings. Avengers won't help them. Daredevil exists only in Hell's Kitchen. Spider-Man is the home hero. Heck, Miles could have Dog powers and he would still be their Spider-Man because he's a great hero who came from their community and actually cares about the people on the streets. That's the message I took from that moment.
I’m so happy they didn’t just do the miles DLC. This game deserves game of the year - it has now set the standard for gameplay and storytelling for the PS5
the character develpment that Miles had gone through by these two games, has way more sense than the background given when he was first introduced in the comics, truely amazing
Honestly though I didn’t think she had to do that. If she lived she would’ve gotten jail time cause krieger would’ve snitched. But ontop of that at the speed she was going she could launched him in the air or fucking throw herself in the ocean while she was in the air
Thanks for making this video, BabyZone, I couldnt read or hear what Simon was saying in that third part of the boss fight because I was too focused on the fight! 😂 Im gonna subscribe to you, keep up the good work, you're amazing!
This is not a game It's a playable movie It's a great story Thank you stan lee and Steve ditto For bringing us what we all nerdy geeks love so much And thank you insomniac for making us enjoy spider man even more through your creative storytelling and gameplay
I do understand why the people recognise her as a villain and hate on her (for good reason) ,but at least she ended up much better than Doc Ock. While both villains are pretty similar (they are both too blinded by hate and revenge to see clear), she at least managed to reddem herself (by sacreficing herself) in the end,Doc Ock ended up being beyond any redemption.
This makes me want a live movie version of Peter & Miles Spiderman even more & this is just a video game along with Spider Woman both Jessica Drew & Qwen Stacey.
She sacrificed her own life just to save miles and the city after knowing what she done. That takes true determination to sacrifice ur life to bio electricity.
@@broneeee Miles Was strong but cannon wise Peter was stronger The reason was Peter Spider Sense and physical abilities was stronger than miles but thr latter has venom and stealth ability which peter doesn't have Moreover Peter has years of experience as spider man compared to miles Though the two was good and it's mea ingless and to think who stronger
Peter gotta die eventually because we in the universe of Miles or this is in those other spider verses and we can have peter and miles. I'm fine with both
I’m probably showing my age here but did the ending remind anyone else of the finale of the first season of Heroes where Nathan and Peter fly into the sky and explode.
@@Platonyx Honestly, dude if a black person gets offended just because their skin color is mentioned the problem is theirs, not ours. There's nothing racist about that comment.
So my question is if Miles was able to survive a *height like THAT* after the explosion then why didn’t Phin just zoom up the building, yeet him into the sky and let him survive given the fact heel survive from that height. I low key wanted to see Phin and Miles survive together.
Ah of course surviving an height is more impressive than containing energy that will blow up all of Harlem and can power it for 500 years, of course, why the hell is the height even being brought up here, this dude survived a massive explosion in the first mission and wasn't even significantly hurt.
First thing I thought of when he was down and unmasked and the people were there was: welp there goes the secret identity. Then those people stood up for him with the news may not have been like the bridge scene but you can definitely see they always take care of each other.
@@wardy6224 true they’re similar but in Spider-Man 2 for instance the people helped him because he helped save them and they realized that he was a hero and more importantly just a kid. In this it feels more relatable, for instance they are all one neighborhood they’ll see each other more likely each day and they bond with each other more likely the next day making greater bonds and protecting each other. In Spider-Man 2 the people come together to help the person who helps them, in the game they help him because he’s one of them, like the guy said “that’s our Spider-Man”
@@josiahthompson4594 nice take my guy i can appreciate that.. for me personally though, it just felt a bit unoriginal all the way up to the line where they say hes just a kid
