Please dive into Miley's career more. She got so much undeserved hate that her music talent was grossly overlooked. Even songs like Can't Be Tamed (one of my favorites) were so freaking good and went underrated bc people turned her into a gossip story. Much like Taylor, listening to the evolution and growth of her music/voice is incredible.

I've followed Miley the person more so than Miley the singer, but this version of Jolene might be the best that I've heard. Her vocal abilities have grown by leaps and bounds since her teens. I wouldn't have minded if she slowed it down a bit, but the uptempo does work the way they performed it. Her sister Noah has several really good songs out and their vocals are very similar. Listen to the song JULY - the version that features Leon Bridges. It is ahhh-maz-ing! And if you haven't listened to any Leon Bridges, definitely get on that (he's from Texas!). RIVER was his breakout hit. He doesn't do crazy vocal runs; he just stands and sings and his lyrics cut right to your core. Speaking of him - watch the video of SWEETER (if you haven't seen it) that he released just a couple of weeks after George Floyd's death. I was absolutely gutted after hearing it the first time. and especially seeing the video that looks like he filmed in his home neighborhood.
I didn't know Miley Cyrus did cover this Dolly Parton song . She did a wonderful job. It true that her vocals are reminicent of Dolly's vocals in this song. Thank you for your reaction to this song
Jolene is one of my favorite songs of all-time. I used to sing Dolly's songs into my hairbrush all the time as a kid. I've heard dozens of covers of this song over the 40 years of my life and this is one of my favorites! Miley is underrated as a singer. Great reaction!
Hi Steven, Miley sings a cover of Metallica' s...Nothing Else Matters....at Glastonbury festival 2019....my mind is blown! I grew up as a fan of Metallica's and I'm now a fan of Miley big time....respect :) Her vocal prowess is astonishing and I always underrated Miley over the years....Miley has a magnificent rock voice and she also reminds me of Joan Jett from the 80's.

You have to give to props to the band. Put on some headphones and listen to the bass throughout. The backing elevates the vocals and lets her do her thing
